 We have just returned from this site, and have to say it is one of the friendliest sites we have been to. The setting is tranquil, and although the showers have not been built.Yet (!), they have a very private toilet area with washing facilities, which to be honest is all you need if you are camping. The village itself is very picturesque, and the pub has an extensive menu of very reasonably priced meals, which are really tasty; the price of alcohol was also surprisingly cheap for a village, and the locals are very welcoming and friendly.
We are definitely going to return, several times, and would give Rusty and Christine, the owners of the lodge full marks all round; we could not find one single fault with this site, or the area itself.Marvellous!
In fact, to quote that famous ad: if Carlsberg did campsites, this would be it !
