Booked the fox pod, usually we use a tent but after looking at the website decide to try the pod. It was lovely the pictures don't do it justice it was warm and cosy at night, all the little extras included was a surprise the reading light in the pod came in handy for reading at night, the electric cool box, the kettle and toaster, the bed was so comfortable then outside the fire pit and barbecue picnic bench and chairs where provided.
The campsite itself was lovely clean and very tidy, the member of staff who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly, helpful. Didn't want to leave but we will return either has campers or glampers !

This is an easy site to find just off the A303 and is a quirky little campsite with some nice touches and a cosy feel. In the washing up area there is the usual selection of local information, including a bus timetable (there is a stop at the site entrance), there are frying pans for campers to use, maps showing the nearest pubs and footpath to Stonehenge, and eggs for sale 20p each with an honesty box. They also hire out portable firepits, we didn’t hire one but it was nice smelling the woodsmoke and listening to the owls when it was dark.
We would have preferred more toilets of the mains flushing variety, and I wasn’t too impressed with the person who left their peeled skin in the shower room sink, so on the whole, things could‘ve been a little cleaner. There are hardstanding pitches with EHU and tap, and some have grass and picnic table alongside. We’d visit again.

Stonehenge Campsite is a great find. The owner has really spent time creating the right 'feel' with open spaces for games and fire pits for campfire evenings. There was a relaxed but attentive approach to the site.
Campsite wardens were visible, helpful and keen to hear feedback on the site, leaving you with a sense that this is a site that will just go on getting better and better. A little gem in the Stonehenge countryside.
Shower blocks were relatively powerful and hot. Loos were clean and regularly checked. A new ladies block is on delivery and plans for an upgraded shower block are about to be submitted. We had a plentiful supply of hot water.
We loved the 'open' reception hut with information in abundance, cricket bat and stumps for general use, communal fridge, marshmallow sticks, fresh eggs to buy and plenty more. There was a real sense of community and mutual respect for others.
The maintenance of the site was second to none. Clean, well maintained grass paths and again, a sense that the owners really care about their surrounding environment. We liked the signs dotted around the site identifying the native hedges and plants.
The mobile fire pits were fantastic. Charcoal was available at reception and there was an abundance of wood to collect locally. You could also BBQ on them. They supplied saws for chopping the wood and our kids (aged 14-10) loved helping out with this activity.
Lovely walks from the site along the riverbank and beyond. Pub and farm shop within walking distance.
William, the owner was delightful to chat to and very much involved and interested in the campers.
All-in-all a great little site which ticks many boxes. We will definitely be returning.

We live in Salisbury and have been looking for a local campsite for weekend trips for years! This is the one, we've finally found the perfect place!
We booked with another family and had a corner of the top field, to be pitched how we liked as long as we were the minimum distance apart. Between us we have 8 children and 5 dogs so the fact that there is space kept in the middle of the field for playing games is fantastic. We all had such a great time.
The facilities are basic, but do the job just fine. The warden and the owner couldn't have been more helpful and they were so friendly.
We hired a fire pit as we needed EHU and it was so lovely to sit round the fire in the evening. We even brought a guitar and had a sing song!
All in all a fabulous site; clean, tidy, beautifully planted, great for dog exercising and tiring the children out!
We're booking up for a week in August

The surroundings were beautiful and access to local attractions, eg. Stonehenge, was easy,
unfortunately the site itself was let down by too few lavatories and showers for the number of campers, and these were not terribly well maintained.
We visited for the weekend following the solstice, so perhaps there was not a sufficient 'turnaround time' between departures and arrivals. We liked the firepits, but felt that, for £10, they might have chopped the firewood first.
Lots of dogs roaming around, but we happen to like dogs!
I know the site is famous for welcoming large parties, but its worth paying attention to individuals and couples and small families, as they are the bread-and-butter, so to speak, and customer service matters, however much, or little, the customer spends.

This site was ideally situated for stonehenge and other places of interest, which was ideal as we were visiting for the Solstice.
Great atmosphere on site and the owners/staff were really helpful and chatty. An open fire pit was a great addition and added to the atmosphere.
The site was well laid out and flat, amenities were a little basic portable loo's etc. But there were showers in a block, like I said pretty basic but this wasn't an issue.
We would definitely use this site again

A lovely camp site.
We went for the summer solstice and the owners has put on food and entertainment in an old barn and ran a shuttle bus to and from the site all night.
Facilities are simple but very adequate and all very attractively arranged with newly planted flowers and shrubs.
A short walk along a footpath leads to the village of Berwick St. Andrew where there is a very nice pub and a village shop selling local produce - great home made sausage rolls.
Loved the communal fire pits which everyone gathered round in the evening.
Would definitely return to explore the area.

Having just returned home from 4 days at this site I had to write and say how we enjoyed the visit despite heavy rain/winds.
The site is easily found and totally accessible even to a novice like me.
It is so clean well laid out and William the owner is continually planting etc keeping it all so attractive.
The facilities are always clean and plenty of hot water.
Superb hardstanding pitches more akin to larger more expensive sites
We will visit again as we had such a great time.

We have just made our second visit to this site, as part of a group of 21, 12 Adults and 9 children (aged 7 to 12), to celebrate the Queens Jubilee.
We had a fantastic time, A couple of Parties, and a BBQ. We hosted a 'Camping's got Talent' evening for the children, played rounders and cricket on the play area, and Went for walks.
Visited The Bell at Winterbourne Stoke on one walk (Good pint and very nice Panini's). Also Visited Stonehenge and Salisbury (would like to go back here again).
Showers on site lovely and hot, toilets kept clean and well stocked with loo paper.
Useful kettle by the washing up area, for that last minute cup of tea, after we had packed up.
Will definitely be back next year.

Great site! it had been raining but we could camp on gravel so stayed nice and dry. Good location, close to Stonehenge and several footpaths from campsite through fields to the pub.
The local peacock had moved out, but could still be heard at dusk.
Toilets etc fine. Good wifi.
The owner was very friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed the stay. Nice layout and newly landscaped - would highly recommend to any other travelling kiwis, or anyone else!
