On arrival at the site due to heavy rain, the entrance resembled a ploughed field getting on and off was a problem the total of our stay, several campers had to be towed off with a tractor on site. The toilet block was 2 urinals, which for the first two days were half full of urine, and the other toilets not really clean this block covers two fields and queuing to go often happens, not good when one has to go in a hurry.Showers cold no room to change. Good chip shop on site with friendly service. A general comment would be for the owner to lay down gravel or stone at the entrance as we can live with mud to some extent, this not a reflection on him as he's a very nice chap but would save him time towing people off and on the field. We did cut short our stay due to the weather which was not his fault and over all we did feel sorry for him.Beach was more than a mile away as was the pub but we made the best of things as campers do.

We ended up at this site as our original campsite had closed because of the weather, so Buttyland saved us at the last minute. We checked in at 9 o'clock at night! It is only a short stroll down into Manorbier from the site and a short drive to Tenby, so it is very well situated. The site was still quite noisy at 10 o'clock but was always quiet by midnight (the owner was very particular about this).
Now for the downsides. The site is quite difficult to find as it still has 'Arreton' on the gate - head for the station and it is opposite Manobier Country Park. The tents were allowed to pitch very closely together and there was very rarely hot water in the showers (which are very small, almost toilet cubicle sized). The toilets ran out of toilet paper everyday and also smelt terribly, I think because there were lots of people on the site. There are only two urinals in the mens and there must have been over 100 tents/caravans on site! Whilst we were there the weather was awful (well, it was bank holiday weekend!) and everyone was having trouble negotiating the mud in the field.
All in all, we thought £18 a night was far too expensive for what we got. The site was trying to cater for more people than it is able to handle.

We went after a very rainy week and the entrance to the main fields was so muddy we daren't risk it. This didn't stop boy racers in Escorts powering through it however. We parked up at the edge. Toilets and showers were rather worn and basic. Only saw the manager once when he took £37 in cash 2 nights for two people. This seems expensive for what what seemed a basic site. But maybe the rain and mud prejudiced me.

Buttyland campsite was brill, toilets and showers were clean. They were very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that we had to wash football kit and the dryer was not working, but I dare say next time we visit it will be. The football area was a big hit with our boys. The surrounding area was good as we had a bunch of 14year olds and we could keep and eye on them. Hope to go back next year as it was a good site situated centrally for our needs

Visited for the weekend when the weather was forecast to be wet, we fell lucky as it rained mainly at night. The site was difficult to find as it was once known by a different name, Arreton, which is still on the gateway. If you see the garden centre, the entrance to the site is opposite. Damian and Jackie took over this site just a year ago. Damian greeted us on arrival with his pleasant friendly smile and escorted us to our pitch. The site is kept very clean including the toilets and showers. The toilets are separate from the showers, same building but a different entrance. There was a caravan rally in the next field and even though there was only 3 showers there was never a queue. The shower cubicles need updating as there is no room to hang up clothes etc without them getting slightly wet, discretion is required when undressing etc. The site has it’s residential caravaners, but don’t let this put you off as all we met were friendly. In all we recommend this site and look forward to visiting again.
We visited a very nice clean bay near Bosherston, in the direction towards Pembroke, also pleasant is the walk around the lily ponds and a cream tea at Ye Olde Cafe.

Spent a lovely 2 weeks camping here. Camping field is large with many water points, so never had to walk far to get water. There aren't loads of outside lights, which meant we could see the stars every night. Owners are relaxed, very friendly and helpful, to the extent of allowing my partner to download & print a job application form on their PC/printer and faxing the completed application using their fax. They don't tolerate noise after 10pm. Owners are fairly new to site, but are making some upgrades. There are 2 washing machines on site and a freezer - both of which we used - washing machines were £1 a go and the freezer £2 pw - well worth it.
Manorbier railway station is less than 5 minutes walk away, and although the trains only run every 2 hours, we got organised and used them! The local buses stop a 5 minute walk from campsite and we used those to, as we didn't have the car with us.
Opposite the site is a garden centre which does proper coffee, scrumptious cakes and a good Sunday lunch (we're veggies and they happily catered for us).
We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay and will definitely be returning.

This was our inaugural visit with our trailer tent. We had a level pitch on the main tent field.
The owners Damion & Jackie are friendly&helpful, often to be found zipping around on their golf cart.
The showers were basic, but clean & plenty of hot water, there is a lot of room but we showered after returning from the beach & always found we had them to ourselves.
There was a large group of teenagers that had said they had adult supervision, but didn't. The new owners need to decide what sort of site they want to run.
We also experienced an inconsiderate/rowdy family(who wants to hear Peter Kay repeatedly over the car stereo?)but these were soon delt with by Damion.
The level crossing is only a vague noise in the back ground & doesn't run at night. We were far more disturbed by the snorer 3 tents away!
Maorbier is a lovely dog friendly beach. Site is a good base for visiting Folly Farm, Oakwood & other attractions & not too far from Tenby & Saundersfoot.
On the night we arrived we struggled to put up our awning, Damian came to cheer us on. Too exhausted to cook & in need of liquid refreshment, we had a great meal at the Lydstep Tavern.
After reading other reviews, we were disappointed by the chip van, but it was only the 3 rd time it had been opened by the new owners.
All in all it a great site.

I was very pleased with our stay here, excellent value at £10 a night for the dog, 4 adults, 2 cars and a large tent.Where else would you get this on a bank holiday weekend???? We stayed here at the tale end of the bank holiday weekend and were forewarned that there was no proper toilet paper as they were rather taken aback by the enthusiastic response to the bank holiday weekend and that there would be queues for the loo's and showers. They were very apologetic and incredibly friendly. We had proper toilet paper on the Tuesday after the bank holidayers left! It is very close to manorbier, though as with anywhere in tenby do expect to have to drive. We sample the on site chip shop which was lovely! For those who were on about the crossing, it is very much a background noise and most definitely not a constant nuisance (we were staying in the top field aswell) All in all for £10 a night you don't expect the ritz but with friendly staff, excellent chip shop and location I will return when I visit Tenby again!

This was the first time we'd camped at this site, the new owners Damian & Jackie are really friendly and happy to help. They are in the process of upgrading the site and were on the "go" all the time we were there. The pitch was fairly level and the ground well drained. We arrived a week before the bank holiday and although the showers and separate toilet block were basic we found them clean. A different story when the site filled up with an extra 150 pitches for the bank holiday weekend, queing for the shower (3 of them) and the best time to use the loo was 5am. Damian & Jackie are in the process of improving facilities, and because of this myself and family are sure to return to this campsite. We had a great time here and the bonus of a fish & chip shop on site is fab, along with Manobier garden centre across the road that do great cakes and coffees.

Streturned from a weeks camping holiday at Arreton. We went with friends (4 adults and 5 children under 10 in all). The site is situated nr Manorbier, a lovely small village 10-15mins drive west ofTenby. The site actually changed hands three months before we arrived and the new owners are veryhelpful, friendly and very enthusiastic about their site, always zipping aroundin their golf-kart and stopping to chat whenever possible. Prices are very reasonable; £14 per nightincluding elec hookup is good in any book and that is peak season. The site isbasic and perfect for those not wanting discos, clubhouses and fun parks. It is in a lovely setting - two slightly sloping fields with excellent views onto the countryside around. There is plenty of room for the children toplay, including a small footy pitch with goals. The toiletblock has free hot showers (although they were luke-warm quite often!), the washingup room has sinks, washing machine, tumble dryer and chest freezer for use ofall. The site office now also providesbasic provisions and there is a very handy snack-van at the entrance to thesite. There is a very well stocked shop in Manorbier village (5min drive). The pitchesare marked around the perimeter and are large with no set boundaries, perfect for our two large tents and associated gear. Electric points are limited at the moment but the owner said more areplanned for next year. There are plenty of water points around the site. Manorbierrailway station is a 10 minute walk from the site where you can catch a traineast to Tenby and Saundersfoot or west to Pembroke if you don’t want to use thecar. There is little noise and NO disturbance from the train track, they only run hourly and not overnight. Manorbier itself is very nice and the beachis superb with a castle to look around too. Tenby itself is attractive, unspoilt, very clean and safe (pedestrianised) and the beaches great for bathing. It’s generally cheap too – all day parking£1.50 to £2.50 at the most. Criticisms?– pretty minor, the facilities may struggle to cope with demand when the site gets very full and they may need to impose a noise curfew as we did have anissue one night. All in alla superb week and we reckon we will definetly be back to Arreton, the over alllocation and friendly welcome is just too good to miss.
