Had the first May Bank weekend here. Very nice site which the utilities were spotless clean. It was nice to find the site under new management and the wardens very helpful. Site looked a lot more tidy then my last visit in 2006. Some small animals for the children to look at and there is a pub over the road that sells good food and ale. The golf kept hubby busy and the site has a nice little shop. We will go again soon

This is a lovely flat site. It was extremely quiet, probably one of the quietest I have been to. We were pitched next to the park which was ideal for our 6 year old son. There are security barriers onto the site which is always a bonus! The site is literally a 5 min car ride away from Pickering Town Centre and probably only 15/20 minutes to Whitby. The only downside was probably the shower block. It was lovely and clean but just needs updating. There are also recycling bins for Cans, Paper bottles etc which is good. All in all a very good site and would definitely revisit.

We had a really nice weekend at this site there was alot of us. The site staff couldn't have been more helpful we missed the tractor ride at 7pm on the sat as we where all having such a good time we forgot but the man did again which a thought was really nice! The owl they have there was beautiful huge my son loved it. The only gripe I would have with this site was that you had to put the shower tokens in outside of the cubicle a little difficult when half way through a shower and putting 2 in at the beginning doesn't work! other than that a really nice site with very level pitches would recommend and will go back! Our friends all have dogs and it was a good site for them.

There were two tourers in our family party, and this was our first time camping with young children. This site spoilt us for future as we loved everything about it. It was small, well laid out and the kids absolutely loved it. We were shown to the pitch, and having recently had to struggle to find any pitch in the rain, this is quite a nice touch. The small central play area helped the children all play together, and we could keep an eye on them from the caravan. There was a very small animal area, and little shop on-site, and a pub over a busy road. Unfortunately we missed the tractor rides as there was a storm. This site is literally just a couple of miles one way from Pickering and the railway, and a couple of miles the other way form Flamingo Land. Will definitely be visiting again, as we loved everything about this site.

After visiting this site I feel I must tell other people about this really good site located just outside of the town of Pickering North Yorkshire. On your arrival at the site you are met by the on site warden who books you in and goes through everything that you need to know about the site. He then escorts you to your pitch showing you how the electronic barrier works. The toilets and showers are very clean and tidy. There is a lauderette and disabled toilet, a small shop which sells the basic,s and across the lane is a 9 hole golf course. there is a good pub which does hot meals at lunch times and evenings which is about 200 yards from the site across the main Pickering to Malton Road. There is very little noise during the day or night from this road. Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are all within 1 hours drive, Flamingo land is about 10 mins drive away.

September 2005 I booked last minute as I was unsure if I could get the time off work, I was surprised when the gentleman said he could fit me in as it was Bank Holiday weekend. A real friendly, clean and well maintained site. The owner was extremely helpful, as were the staff working there. Toilets were spotless, nice little extras such as stools for the younger children to stand on as they were using the toilet / having a wash. Little J cloths to clean your wash basin out after use. The chickens kept my 7 year old amused for hours, nice idea selling pots of feed to the children so they can feed them.

August 2005 We loved this site and will definitely be going back. The pitches were a lovely size and very level. Facilities very clean. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. If you have young children, make sure they know about the tractor ride - Saturday night at seven o'clock. No ball games allowed, which suited us, the kids played badminton!

August 2005 Quite a nice site overall, the main field is close to the main road which is very busy and loud, also the pitches didn't drain quickly enough so became very boggy quickly, the field next to the play area and toilet block didn't seem to suffer as much on either points, much nicer that side of the hedge! Toilet / shower block was kept pretty clean but you have to pay 20p for a shower! Good pub across the road which did good food. Shop was o.k and provides freezer block service. Children loved the eagle owl they keep there, some strange noises thru the night! A full moon, millions of stars and a couple of beautiful sunsets were memorable sights. Would probably go back but would insist we were pitched on the play area pitches.

July 2005 Stayed for 2 nights. Had a lovely flat tent pitch in a field separate to the main area with the childrens play area which suited us as it was much quiter. Site very neat and tidy, toilet/shower facilities extremely clean. Staff very friendly, and pub over road is very nice. Near by Dalby Forest is a good place to hire bikes or go walking. Would definately go again.

June 2005 This has got to be my all time favorite site. There`s just something about it. Toilets, showers are apotless. Every pitch is level and the drainage seemed good.Great for couples and families.
The highlight for my son was the Tractor ride on Saturday night. There`s a great pub 5 mins walk away serving good food and kids are welcome. A 9 hole golf course opposite the entrance. Friendly owners.
We visited years ago and had very good memories of Uppercarr, we certainly weren`t dissapoint when we returned, if fact I think its got even better. Can`t wait to visit again.
