Stayed here last weekend in June, and very pleased we did.
Firstly agreed there was a large group of travelers in one corner of the field, but they they gave no noise or any concern at all.
Toilet blocks excellent, toilets spotless with 2 not so much shower cubicles as Shower rooms with proper on off taps, a wide bench to put your belongings on and 4 hooks for clothes. Water pressure and temperature were very good.
Large open field, and you can chose your own spot, and we had a good size pitch backing to 'forest type' area. Not perfectly flat, but no real issues.
Water taps frequent with excellent pressure, grey waste point also frequent and low level so no lifting your waste container, easy access to Elson.
Anita who booked us in very courteous, friendly and helpful, and only £35 for two nights, with electric.
Close to Sudbury, Lavenham and Long Melford so excellent position.
Away from the road and very quiet.
Would certainly recommend and return,

Nice site, fairly quiet while we were there (three nights) and, after a quick book in and site explanation, we were left to choose our pitch with no fuss or bother. Seemed to be a small commune of working regulars over one side so we pitched on the other side adjacent the nature reserve. Site is fairly even, seems well drained and is frequented by the bird life from the reserve (mainly geese/moorhens). Great to see them but you need to watch where you're putting you're feet.
Toilet block seems to have been recently renovated with nice tiling and fittings. Three urinals, three cubicles and two showers in the mens with the showers being free of charge. Hot water available but difficult to juggle the balance to get the right temperature. The lack of a thermostatic shower control and the use of what appears to be the original shower trays (poor edge sealing to new vinyl flooring) detracted slightly from the overall experience.
No paths on road outside site but we walked a few hundred metres to a side road and then walked on into Sudbury on the back roads. Footpath opposite site takes you down to the river and, if you are keen, you can follow paths round past Sudbury and on to Long Melford (approx. 6. 5 miles). Well worth a visit. We did the walk, and caught a bus back to Sudbury and then another one which dropped us at the site entrance.
Overall a very good site and a good location to explore the Suffolk countryside.

We visited this site, which was fully booked, over a bank holiday weekend. It is a pleasant enough site - an open, level three acre field with a tarmac road running around the centre (which made for a great race track for children on their bikes!). The site is surrounded by trees although there are none on the field itself and no hedges to give any privacy between the pitches. The toilet block is modern and clean with two large showers in each of the ladies and gents. The floors are tiled and consequently slippery when wet and there were no duckboards. However, the big downfall was the lack of hot water in the showers on either of the mornings of the two days we stayed, despite the block being empty on each of the occasions we visited. There is no specific play area for children. The site accepts payment by cash or cheque only. There is a large Sainsburys supermarket about a mile away and the market town of Sudbury is half a mile further on which has a good range of shops and facilities.

Nice site with one large field for tents and tourers and a smaller area, where we pitched, next to the large pond and also close to the toilets.
Pitch was a bit uneven but this didn't bother us too much, not sure what the pitches on the larger field were like. Good to be close to the toilets and we had a nice view of the pond and adjacent lake and the ducks/birds didn't bother us too much or make too much noise!
Toilet/shower block was very clean and plenty of toilets. Although only two showers there was no queue. Shower cubicles are massive but the shower I used was not great, not very powerful and the water temperature kept going up and down. No extra charge though and not push button.
The site itself was really quiet but the nearby main road was fairly noisy as the site isn't set back very far away.
We didn't go into Sudbury but did visit Lavenham which is very pretty and also went to the Saracens Head pub in Newton which was good. Sainsburys is a five minute drive away.

Instead of staying a couple of nights after arriving from the ferry in Harwich, we spent 16 days there. We had planned to change camping sites in Suffolk and Norfolk every 5 days we just went for daytrips to Norwich, Woodbridge (you have to visit 2013s best british bakery there!) and Cambrigde. The site, town and surrounding 'Constable country' was everything we needed in the end to make an unforgettable holiday. We arrived with a few problems that needed making phone calls and using a computer, Sharon and her daughter did everything to help us - thank you again.
Lovely place with enough space for everybody, super toilet block, even use with a wheelchair would be possible. The town has every supermarket and lots of individual shops. We felt very much at home. The area is not very well known in Germany but I would very much recommend a visit there because for us after having visited Scotland, Wales, and most of England it is the quintessential England. The countryside and much more old villages and towns to see beside Lavenham and Dedham(Clare for instance)! Constable and the other painters simply had to paint - it is so beautiful. If you want to walk ask, because you cannot see the possibilities at first.

This was our first time camping and we couldn't have picked a better site. Positives: small, quiet well kept site, good base for exploring surrounding areas, dog friendly and as site was quiet our dog was allowed off lead, owner very friendly and was there when you needed her, toilet facilities were immaculate with proper taps on the showers allowing you to shower for as long as you liked rather than a 5 minute deadline, indoor dish washing facility which was also immaculate, bins and drinking water taps were never far away
Negatives: Not the campsite's fault but no pavements to walk into town and was quite risky with a dog, no hairdryer in the ladies, a fridge would have been handy and working washing machines.
Overall a great campsite, we didn't venture too far as we were soaking up the sun but visited Lavenham and it's quirky houses which is only 15 minutes by car away. Fabulous if you like walking as the nature reserve is right on the campsite's doorstep so you could walk for miles.

Greeted by owner very nice man, was allocated our space ( think this was cos it was school holidays ) nice pitch next to trees, very large pitch also plenty of space for us and our doggies, they do have a dogs on lead policy and the luxury of doggy poo bins which is also good for dog owners I personally hate putting dog poo in normal bins so well done on that one, well kept campsite. I also have to say this site has exceptional shower/toilet/wash facilities probably the best I've ever used on a campsite. Toilets spotless only drawback void busy times for showers as there is only two. But nice spacious showers and worth the wait, I didn't personally use the washing up facilities which was separate to toilets but they were clean and there was a washing machine and tumble dryer. We decided on first night to take a strollto local pub the brook inn, not very easy to walk down road quite narrow country lane so I would suggest a torch and something reflective if walking back in the dark, Had some food which we ate outside did have to wait a while and food was only ok, so I would maybe venture further for a nice meal but landlady was friendly and they were dog friendly pub which is quite unusual, back to local area footpaths very close by only drawback if you have a large dog which we do, difficult to get them over stiles but apart from that lovely walk and countryside. Back to site was busy our first nice but emptied out on the sunday and was a lovely peaceful site after that we only stayed two nights but would return again, sainsburys very close by for everything you need and a spar even closer than that. Was lovely to see people fishing in the pond on site and the ducks were great to feed with lovely willow trees very pretty. All in all a very good site with exceptional toilet/shower facilities, the great cornard mere was a let down very small unless we didn't find the right one, and the gate to walk through woods was locked so you had no choice but to use the public footpath to walk dogs but as I said a very good site I would use this again.

If seeing the sights that Suffolk has to show, then this is a great base from which to start. Stayed here with our caravan for ten days during the very hot spell, and even Clacton is only about 50 mins drive from here. Great cycling routes from the sight. Supermarkets and of course Sudbury are close for all shopping needs. The sight is well maintained, the facilities block is excellent, always clean and the showers always hot.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. And all for a very good price. A must stay site for this area.

Stayed recently for 5 nights. Our first visit. Toilets and showers exceptional, best we have ever come across. Site well maintained. Ideal location for touring Suffolk. Very pleasant owners. Excellent shopping facilities nearby, especially Sainsbury, which is within a mile. Public houses located nearby. A very quiet tranquil site which is not too big. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future

This park has a very grand thatched gateway, then run down looking garages and a poky office which did not bode well. The owner came from nearby and was quite friendly. The driveway lead down to a level field surrounded by tall hedges, with a small pond on the left. There was plenty of room with the electric hook-ups round the edge. Pitches marked out with numbered paving slabs. The facilities block is new, well equipped and very clean. Excellent showers with proper taps! In a room at the back are the washing up sinks (yes a proper room!) and washing machine. It was a very peaceful site when we visited. On the downside the tiled floors of the facilities block were very slippery when wet. The same tiles were used in the showers making it treacherous with wet feet. There are too many negative signs – 'Shower at your own risk' 'Do not wash up in washbasins' 'Anyone found smoking in toilet block will be ejected from site' etc. I appreciate owners need to have rules but positive signage is better and less aggressive.
Sudbury is conveniently close for shopping. This was a stopover on our way home so didn't explore much more.
