August 2004 This campsite is everything one should be.
The toilets and showers were ample clean and easy to use. The people were very friendly. the proprieters obviously have a ken sense of a quality holidaymaker.
You need a car but most everyone has one when family camping. The surrounding towns and Anglesey provide ample family days out and beaches are plentiful too.
The site itslef is set in wonderful tree covered hills and the views are beautiful.
I would recommend this site very highly to quiet respectful families. There is space aplenty for games, no noise at night and all site essentials are well maintained.

July 2004 We arrived at the campsite on Friday at lunchtime, we were told we could camp anywhere, the site is well laid out with 2 camp fields. The toilets showers and washroom and laundry facilities were spotless, cleaning was carried out several times a day.
The site is well positioned with Portmerion and Portmadog being 5 minutes by car across a toll bridge (40p return)
If we were to return to the area we'd definately visit Barcdy again

June 2003 This site has two large fields for camping. Some electrical hook ups are available. Wooden picnic tables are provided for you to move to outside your tent which makes eating easier.
The small shop has the bare essentials - bread, milk, gas etc
There is a utilities block which contains four sinks for dishwashing (free), washing machines, tumble dryer, iron, and hairdryer all which require the purchase of a token (25p to £1)
There are plenty of toilets and wash basins in both the mens and ladies. The four individual showers are outside of the washrooms and can be used by either sex (25p tokens required = ten minutes)
This was a clean site which was well maintained, with excellent views. A car is definately required when visiting as the closest village is a fair walk away.

August 99 We drove on to this site and had a good look around (we were staying in a nearby cottage). It was an idyllic little place. Peaceful, small and very clean with the bonus of being situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty - Snowdonia National Park. You can experience extremes here with the both the mountains and sandy beaches close by (we shivered our way up the mountains one morning and in the afternoon of the same day baked on the beach). Also very close to Portmerrion which is well worth a visit and Portmadog where there are some good shops. Will definitely return to this area and stay at this site in the future.
