We stayed here for a week. It was the best site we have visited. The family who ran it were very friendly and helpful. The showers etc. were clean with lots of hot water. The situation was second to none, nestled in a valley in Snowdonia. In the morning and evening it was fantastic watching the sun come up/go down over the mountains. Not far to drive to Caernarfon, Bangor, Anglesey etc. We did the Snowdon Ranger walk and found some great beaches on Anglesey and near Porthmadog and Porthmerion. Both Caernarfon and Porthmadog have large supermarkets, and there is a Londis near the site. Contrary to popular myth, we found the Welsh people very friendly and helpful, and the small size of the campsite made for a great atmosphere and we had a chat with nearly everyone. The owners gave us loads of info about places to visit. We would definitely go back.

May 2004 Great little site with the best toilets and showers of any site I've ever visited.
It's exceptionally clean and tidy (doubles as the owners front garden) with a little stream running out the back. There's a no children rule, and it is very much an adult site.
It's not a "wild site" by any stretch of the imagination but as a base for exploring Snowdonia it has a great location - 10 minutes from Beddegelert one way and 10 minutes from Caernafon the other. The owners are very friendly and I would expect we will return.
