Please Please Please Don't go here!! It's far too nice a place and I don't want everyone else going here! Think that says it all, don't you?
Farmer Gordon is quite a character all the kids loved him, they also loved the animals. Very clean toilets and showers! Indoor dishwashing facilities in the farm yard which also includes a fridge and freezer from which you can buy breakfast supplies as well as other lovely local produce. Beautiful scenery especially watching the sun set on the horizon.
As said at the begining please please do not go here!

I have read many of the reviews and yes you do want to keep this campsite quite as it is a real find. The hospitality from the owners was marvelous and they were always there and willing to participate with questions from the family about the farm, the animals and the area.
The site is a bit basic with number of showers x 2 and toilet facilities 2 small blocks but when camping we believe you are not expecting the Ritz. There isn't a play area for the children so do remember to take your own entertainment.
The location of the site overlooking Cardigan Bay was superb and the added thrill of seeing the Dolphins just off the coast at the bottom of the campsite was amazing.
Local Pubs and Hotels at Gwebert are about a 5 minute drive though we didn't get to sample them this time and if you go to Cardigan in addition to the norm has a very friendly Cinema.
The beach at Poppit is well worth a visit as at low tide you have a huge sandy beach and an area with rock pools with very few people on it ( prehaps we were just lucky but it was high season)
Would we go back? Then the answer is yes, as the site is quite, roomy and will never be allowed to become too crowded and the setting is marvelous.

August 2005 We had a lovely stay on this campsite with wonderful views over cardigan bay. Gordon and Mary are very friendly and helpful, the kids loved being on the farm, having pony rides and taking the puppy for a walk. The showers are good and toilets are kept clean. It's a bit of a walk to the farmyard to do your washing up, but we didn't mind and there are fridges and freezers for campers use. There is a path down to the cove where we saw seals and some people saw dolphins. Don't forget your binoculars as you have a brilliant view from the site. All in all a lovely place to stay.

August 2005 This site is a tranquil haven, even on a bank holiday weekend - we enjoyed our stay immensely. Gordon came round 2/3 times a day to see if we needed anything; the children had pony rides and enjoyed fussing all the animals - great freedom for them, and it felt like a genuine working farm. We could watch the dolphins and seals from our tent, and it was an easy walk to the beach.

August 2005 This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. If you want peace and quiet and spectacular scenary then this is the place for you. The site has all the facilities necessary but don't come expecting luxury, instead expect views, wildlife and the friendliest farmer that you could imagine. The site has toilets, showers, hoock-ups and produce is available from the farm-house. This is one of those places that you hope nobody else finds and that you can come back to again and again.

August 2005 we have just got back after spending a fantastic week here.and will be going back as much as possible. Gorden is very laid back and very helpful, he lent us a gas bottle when ours was runing low. We set up in the middle of the field and had loads of room for the children to play the nearest tent to ours must have been 40 meters away. The field slopes down so even if you had a tent to the front of you you could still have fantastic views of the sea, we could see dolphins from our tent. We also saw seals in the cove.
Our 4 children loved the farm and rode princess the pony, and fed the donkeys.a bit of a hike to wash pots in the main farm buildings but what a hike walking past the cows, bull, donkeys, geese ,chickens, pony and not forgetting Wonder the puppy. Can I wash the dishes dad ?!!
The site is very quiet most people in their tents for 21.30/10.00. great. Dont take any food Cardigen has a 24 hour Tesco so save room in your car set up and go back less than a 10 min drive.

August 2005 Lovely campsite, great location, Gordon the owner is very friendly and helpful. Saw seals and dolphins down in the cove and the kids loved the local beach. Will definitely visit again and will always remember the fantastic sunsets over the ocean.
ps. can't believe some of the locals are not happy with the site. It is a family site, clean and very well run and I imagine the local businesses are very happy with all the money the campers spend in the area!

August 2005 This is a really lovely, family site. Its quiet, clean with really good vacilities. The views are beautiful and its an easy 5ish minutes country walk to sit and dolphin and seal watch. The beach is only a 15 minute walk away. The farmer and his wife are really friendly and helpful - he calls round to make sure everything is okay. I'd reccommend this site to everybody we had a fantastic time and will definitely be visiting again.

August 2005 Attracted by other reviews that described a quiet and peaceful site. These recommendations were wholly accurate and the reality exceeded our expectations. The site gently slopes towards the sea offering great views and spectacular sunsets, idilic for those that seek a relaxing non-commercial campsite. There is a short path that leads to inaccessible cliff vantage points for viewing the local dolphins and seals. A second path leads to a secluded yet popular beach within 20 min walk. The facilities are basic but well maintained and clean. The owner is very friendly and overly helpful. This site is well located to take advantage of Cardigan and the local area, a rarely visited treat. A quiet relaxing site. Thoroughly recommended.

August 2005 Two adults and two kids (8+5), 10 nights in August 2005. A tranquil, beautiful place to unwind. Huge, uncluttered field, mostly tents, with stunning views, gently slopping west to rocks from where we saw dolphins leaping and the occasional seal watching us watching them. Didn't feel the need to go far: Local sandy cove a gentle half hour walk through the farm and along the cliff path, or 10 minute drive with all the beach gear, was our favourite. We loved the donkeys, puppy and pony (our kids had a couple of rides courtesy of the ever-friendly and helpful Gordon and Mary, our hosts). Simple, clean facilities. Washing machines were a bonus. Best of all, no clubhouse/bar/pool! Just friendly, like-minded folk. Cardigan (20 mins drive) has all you need by way of shops, cinema, restaurants etc. Our thanks to Gordon and Mary for a lovely holiday. We hope to return.
