I visited this site in august and I must agree with the other reviewers, the owners were so helpful and friendly, the site was well maintained and the toilet / shower block were clean and tidy.
The campers kitchen is an excellent idea and was used regularly by myself.
I was lucky enough to be there when the owners boys were there, I met them at the local hotel, we ended up back at the campsite having a mini ceilidh, accordian, drum and a digeridoo!
I will be going back again and would highly recommend this site.

We arrived here from Clachtoll campsite which we had loved so was a huge change. Drive from Stornoway to Lewis was very bleak but Mary was very welcoming when we arrived and showed us our pitch which was in the back of her garden. Admittedly a very large garden. Grass was perfect. Toilets clean but a bit cramped and no hand soap provided, shower in ladies cost 50p for 4 minutes. Gents was 40p for same, though was enough time to get clean!. Mary washed and dried a load of washing for us for £6 which was much appreciated. Dishwashing area and campers kitchen was great especially on rainy days as there was tables and chairs to sit at and a cooker to use. Beach was bit of a walk away and not the nicest as there was nicer beaches a short drive away. A drive to Harris is a must and was the nicest part of the Western Isles (sorry to people in Lewis)! Luskintyre Beach and Reef Beach in Harris to die for!

We have just got back from this great site. The owners are really welcoming and the site was level and dry. The day we arrived was really windy so make sure everything is pegged down well! All the facilities were clean , the kitchen/dining room was great with lots of useful things if you have forgotten anything. The fridge was really handy and being well used. We found the atmosphere at this site to be very friendly too. Probably down to the relaxed lovely owners. They were ready to help with washing, directions, etc. We would recommend this site to anyone. It really is what every camping site should be ! A great small site , well run with good facilities.

Lovely little site and very friendly owners. It was blowing a gale when we arrived so they tucked us up to the side of the house and hooked us into their mains to keep us sheltered.
Excellent facilites especially the kitchen area with cooker etc provided. Tent area was very boggy as it slopes down towards the stream - this also takes you to the dog walking area so take your wellies.
We had a service wash and dry done for a fiver which was well worth it.
Would use again.

Small family site but big in heart. Well kitted out. Ladies and gents toilets and showers. Shower room and toilet for disabled. Washing up and cooking facilites available. Cafe style room for eating. No need to go back to a tent. All water is drinking water and has water filling area and chemical disposal points. This camp is well worth a visit with costs well within a favourable budget. Plenty to do around the area. A store is about 1.1/2 miles from the camp called Butt View Stores and is well stocked and daily papers can be got from there too. Electric hookup is available. Site owners are a pleasure to meet. 100% great
