Stayed at Steadings Park for 3 nights for the second weekend of the school summer holidays. My friend and I had booked two adjoining pitches in the small, enclosed tent field after reading excellent reviews and we were not disappointed.
Everything was great - friendly welcome, our pitch was near to the toilet block and small play area. We were escorted to our pitch, provided with a helpful fact sheet and each time we saw Debbie and the wardens they were friendly and helpful.
The site is flat, sheltered and accessible. Ideal for families in the smaller, enclosed field or for groups in the bottom, large open field.
There is a sloping area of rough grass past the open camping field where ball games can be played - not ideal for a professional game of football but ideal for a quick kick about or flying kites, frisbees etc.
Small shop with basics - milk, bread, ice creams etc. Toilet block is very modern with lots of hot water and plentiful loo roll and handwash.
The washing up area is also clean and with a roof overhang to keep you dry. Laundry room with a fridge freezer and books and games to borrow.
We enjoyed a couple of walks from the site - ideal for children or dog walkers and there is a nice walk to the local pub too. We will hopefully return soon - highly recommended.

What a lovely site a group of friend stayed for 3 nights last weekend, we had the sheltered tent field it was perfect as we all had small children.
On arrival the staff were very friendly and as our dog has diabetes they let us store his insulin in their own fridge.
The toilet and showers were lovely and clean if I was to make one suggestion it be for a shelf to be put in the shower to put toiletries on and maybe another hook but apart from that we had a lovely stay and have booked for next year.
The local pub The Fox is amazing the food was fantastic well worth a visit.

We visited Steadings Park with friend and kids in two large tents and a gazebo. Stayed on the lower field with EHU. This is a fantastic site. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. You are taken to your pitches which were of a very generous size.
The ground is flat with great drainage. Even at the start of the school holidays we found the site to be not too crowded.
The toilet block is the best we have ever used at a campsite in the UK. Well designed and very clean. No coin operated showers just plenty of hot water.
The fire pits on the lower fields were great fun and we had a roaring fire both nights with logs brought to you by the wardens.
All in all a great site and would recommend to anyone.

Great site very well organised and laid out. Good pitches and on site shop with very personal service from owners and staff.
Wash rooms very high standard, can get get busy.
Fox Inn 10-15 min walk excellent pub with good food and beers.
Nice walks nearby and close to A12, in small village very quiet site, children friendly and safe, entry barrier to site.
WiFI is available and very good, not free though small charge.

What a fantastic site! We stayed here for 2 nights recently and to be honest having seen the weather forecast the only reason that we went was because we were meeting friends there.
The welcome that we got on arrival was warm and friendly and they had reserved us a pitch next to our friends, exactly as requested.
The sheltered tent field is exactly that and despite strong winds and heavy rain overnight, we had a very comfortable night. I was particularly impressed with how well drained the site was because the following morning the ground was all firm underfoot.
The showers and toilets are first class and the shop on site covers the basics well. On the Saturday evening the skies cleared and we borrowed one of the firepits and enjoyed toasting marshmallows.
The site is in a lovely area and the pub in the village nearby looks lovely. Sadly, because of the weather we didn't get to enjoy it. We are looking forward to the walk through the woods and a drink there next time we visit.
Despite the dreadful weather, we were able to keep the children entertained at the near by indoor play centre and there is a bowling ally and cinema nearby as well.
Overall a fantastic weekend. We will be back.

Immaculate well kept campsite! Had a one night stay here in our tent on 14th July, and it was brilliant. Wardens and owners very friendly people and we were shown to pitch on arrival as well as being given a useful info sheet and £5 off voucher for a pub meal. Grass pitch, well maintained and lovely views.
Toilets and shower block always very clean and a modern design. Always had loo roll in them, and nice loo roll too! Hand wash provided and showers clean and hot with speedy dyson hand drier.
Bit of a walk to toilet block if staying on back field, nearest would be the small tent field. Great to be able to have fire pit or campfire in designated areas, lovely idea. Quite a small playarea, but keeps kids happy, open 9am-8pm, a cone and rope closes it off out of these hours.
The fox pub was a short walk away through the nature reserve and we had a lovely meal there. Would advise booking beforehand though as it can get very busy. Can recommended the sticky lamb cutlets!
Will definitely go back to this site very soon, a little gem! This is now on my favourite list. 10 out of 10 for everything!

Just got back from a 4 day camping trip, 28th june - 1st July. Wow what can we say great campsite. We had a choice of a few huge flat pitches for our tent. Very clean toilets and showers 5 star. The site wardens were first class, they ensured everything was top class, they are 2 very friendly people and did anything they could to ensure our stay was a great one. The shop on site was very handy in the warm weather for ice creams, thankyou for a great few relaxing days.

Very neat, maturing site on the edge of a nature reserve, nice tidy entrance. Ample pitches are separated by wooden markers, but the site is split into 4 areas and feels quite cosy. We were made very welcome and shown to our designated pitch.
Toilet/shower block is new and well appointed, but didn't seem to have any shaver points. It was cleaned twice a day and was quite adequate even at busy times.
Shop at reception only stocked basic items. Kids play area is quite small, but well maintained. Camping field has areas for open fires that were a nice touch.
Lovely local pub, The Fox, food excellent, but not cheap. Supposed to be 10min walk thro' the woods, but more like 15-20 for an OAP and a 7year old. Lots of good paths for walking the dog.
Had a good day out at Jimmy's Farm which is only a few miles away. Very friendly, comfortable site that we would not hesitate to visit again.

Stayed here over Jubilee weekend with the two kids and another family of four. Weather was atrocious. Great welcome on arrival and taken to our pitch.
Pitch was perfect - flat, sheltered and very clean. Toilet shower blocks were great and loads of hot water. Fabulous walk from the site, playground and ball games field kept the kids happy and plenty of fresh eggs from the shop.
Would have preferred pack up time slightly later than 11am but altogether a really nice site which we would highly recommend.

We stayed here for 1 night to allow new campers to see if they liked it. Everybody loved it. We will be coming back again soon. The site is lovely. Very clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This really is a lovely site. Thanks again for letting us stay.
We did not go out and about as we were only there for the one night, but knowing there is a pub within walking distance makes this a great site. We were the only ones camping but we loved it. The play park, only small but the kids loved it.
