Well this has to be the friendliest site in Britain. The owners are very friendly and treat you almost as family, it is lovely to get a West Country welcome on arrival.
The site itself is nicely spaced and not at all crouded even in season. The bottom end of the field is gently sloping but it certainly didn't bother us at all. We were actually really pleased to be at that end because we could sit outside the tent and watch the children play on the simple but very effective playground.
The facilities are at one end of the field and comprise showers, dishwashing and laundry. A preponderance of 20p pieces is necessary for everything. The showers are ok but the laundry is a little underpowered. Everything is maintained to a clean and well presented standard.
The site is off a tiny lane but then where isn't in the South Hams. Which by the way is my favourite part of the coast, a different beach every day and the neighbours and folks at work couldn't believe we had only been to Devon as we stunned everyone with out mediteranean tans.

june 2004 We picked this site on the basis of previous reviews by members - we were not disappointed! It was quiet and tranquil. The pitches are large, there is plenty of space and it is clean. The toilets were clean, ample showers, 6 or 7 sinks and 4 loos (never had to queue). Access is by a single track road with plenty of passing points and did not present any problems. Plenty of walks through fields to the small coves with a great variety of wildlife to be seen. There is a small supermarket just a 2 min drive to Malborough. Many of the people on site were regular visitors who had been coming to this site for several years. The family who own the site (especially Fiona) must be the most friendly, helpful people in Devon, nothing was too much trouble, stopping and having a chat and making us (and eveyone else) feel wanted! June 2004 Spacious, well kept site with good clean facilities. The pitches are large, you are not overlooked or hemmed in. There are excellent views of the surrounding country and of the sea with many pleasant walks. The owners take so much trouble to help with anything you want to know, we have never stayed on a more friendly site. Many of the other campers were regular visitors and it was easy to see why! This was our first time at the site but after getting used to the lane leading to it, we will be coming back to this lovely location. We did have two weeks of sunshine!

June 2004 Just got back from our third year visiting this site.
Plenty of space for the kids to play and ride bikes. Beach is just over a mile away - mostly downhill walk - half on country lane, rest through fields. Very dog friendly with a special walking area (+ parkbench for the owners!), doggy bags and doggy bins provided. Very friendly family running it. Fish and chip van calls twice a week. Toilet blocks still wet(!) but cleaned twice a day in high season. Owners say they want their guests to be treated they way they would wish to be treated - and they mean it. Good clean basic facilities. Lovely family park. Going back in August!

July 2002 Great sea view. Lots of space, with units pitched around the edges of the field. Huge area for kids to play in middle of field. Toilet block basic and always wet! Very friendly family running the site. Small shop available each morning. Very small lanes to the site - so don't bother with bikes. I would revisit this site.
