Nice site, Clean showers, level pitches, unfortunately we did not get chance to check out the bar, be warned the pitches in the outer circle have over hanging trees we had to wash & reproof our canvas due to the sap from the trees, but never the less a recommended site, it also has a nice central lake for fishing.

Just got back from 3 days @ cawood park with friends who had been before, it has to be one of the best campsites we have been on, good value for money, free showers that were very clean, the pitches were ok but did here some complaints from people who had big caravans, the only downside was that we were looking forward to going for a dip in the pool, but they had drained it due to it not been cost efficient, would definitely go back.

Just returned from a 7 night visit, was very good reasonably priced. Downside, the area of grass for the kids is away from the caravans in the centre of a very big tent field, and there is not a lot of room between pitches. The showers etc were free but not a good flow of water from the showers. Although not 100% I would definitely return as they are doing things to the site

Previous comments are spot-on, the most relaxing site I've visited. You will have to go a long way before you find a site like this that has just enough to keep every generation happy.
Peaceful (and picturesque) enough for your granny, just enough nightlife for the 30/40-somethings, and a pool for the kids...Oh, and did I mention the lake?
A great base for local attractions - 15 minutes to York, not much further to Leeds and Bradford - the 3 days we spent here rank among the best we've had. Do yourself a favour, and visit this site - you WILL go back...(and so will I !)

I Went to this site camping with my 2 children under 4 and my friends family of 5 children upto 8 years of age. The site was beautiful and the lake was great for fishing (very smelly) but I would like to add to another review. This site is very strict interms of rules for children and with 5 small children and a dog, we were constantly harassed by "residents" regarding their behaviour. This site was definitely not child friendly even though it boasts a swimming pool and games room (never open).

August 2004 As someone who has been going to cawood holiday park for the past 3 years, I find it very relaxing, everyone very friendly, be it the staff, or the caravaners that use the park. My family and myself have made some very good friends, and really look forward to returning. I recommend the holiday park to everyone I know, and am looking forward to the bank holiday weekend, when we are there, and our friends are joining us.

Aug 2004 Just spent a very pleasant 8 days here. Children are allowed but must be supervised, so no ball games or running around, making this a very relaxing and peaceful site. According to my wife the ladies toilets could have been a bit cleaner but I had no complaints with the mens facilities. Enjoyed the stay.

may 2003 Just had the Bank Holiday weekend at this site, stayed Friday to Monday and really enjoyed it. The staff on site were really friendly, the clubhouse and nightly entertainment was great and the fishing was good too. All in all its well worth a visit.
