Lovely site with excellent facilities. Just as described. One word of warning take rock pegs if you are using a trailer tent or are putting up an awning as you are on hoggin as a base. Tenters are ok as they are on grass. Owner has spoken with me and agreed to look at being able to put trailer tents(not the trailer, just the tent part) on the grass. Do not expect to get a tv reception unless you have a large tall aerial or a satellite system. There is a drone of traffic from the motorway but after a couple of hours you do not notice it. This is a site that I would recommend anybody looking for a site in this area considers. We had a great time there.

Nicely landscaped site. M40 close by but traffic noise not a problem.
Showers and toilets clean. Washing machine and washing up sinks inside ladies also disabled facilities.
Washing up sink outside too (cold water only)
Nice flat field for campers with tents, cars are parked next to this.
Caravans are sited around this but, beware, although it is hardstanding it was the tiny shingly stones which can rip your caravan lino if not careful (take a groundsheet!)
Nicely located next to canal so brilliant for walking.
Overall good value for money.

A wonderful site that is tucked away. The shower and toilet block are wonderful always clean with lots of hot water.
If you are putting an awning up to your van make sure that you have good rock pegs has the ground is very hard.
The gardens are laid out beautifully with a lovely walk around the edge.
There is also the canal that runs near the site which you can walk along and watch the canal boats go through the locks.
There is a chip van that arrives on a Fri night which serves food fish and chips and mushy pea fritters!
We only stayed for two nights but would certainly return for a longer stay, good value for money.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed both nights. Kings Sutton only a 20 minute walk away, however, if you take the road way please be careful. Then we went into Banbury via the canal path, took just under an hour.
Campsite itself has a lovely shower / toilet block, one of the best I have encountered. Jim was lovely and friendly and we met some of the long boats' owners who gave us some really good information.
On a Friday night, if you do not wish to cook, a fish and chip van visits the site at a bout 7:45. But we did spoil ourselves by having a chinese from Kings Sutton which was delicious and inexpensive.
Had to get used to the traffic noise from the M40 though, but was better on the second night.
We stayed here through the Mirror deal at 95p per night, but would definitely pay the normal rate.

Good stuff
=Excellent camp site offering great value for money =Nice location and lots of local history =Lots of local shops for supplies =Mobile fish and chip van on fridays; we didn't try it but it came highly recommended =Excellent shower block/well maintained and cleaned - in fact spotless! =Friendly owners =Great garden areas for children to play and discover in safety
Not so good stuff
=Sadly the site electrics blew on Easter Sunday leaving the camp site without electricity and it could not be resolved; as a result there was no lighting on the site (too dark to venture to the loos etc), no hot water in the showers or wash up areas and no lights in the shower block or toilets (even if you had been brave enough to try to find them in the dark!) =Some cars drive a bit too fast on the site when entering =M40 can be a bit noisy at night (for those that are light sleepers)
Overall, if the electrics got sorted or at least a guarantee of hot water then this would be a great get away for the weekend and I would return; I would certainly recommend this site if you don't need hook up or if you are not reliant on the camp site hot water supply, although I am sure this was just a 'glitch' that will get sorted.
Its great for young kids, the locals are very friendly and there are lots of places to see / things to do within a short distance of the site.

Just had a very enjoyable 2 night stay here. The owners are friendly and accommodating and we especially liked the spotlessly clean facilities, beautifully landscaped terraced gardens and the proximity to the Oxford canal.
We walked into Kings Sutton and had a lovely lunch in the White Horse pub which serves food all day. The following day we were luckier with the weather and had a really nice walk along the canal path into Banbury to see the white lady upon a white horse! The M40 is very close and we did hear it quite a lot on the first night but by day two and for the rest of our stay we could hardly hear it at all. We also felt that the caravan hard standing area would be improved by having clearly defined pitches to give a greater feeling of personal space.
However it was very good value for money and overall we had a smashing time.

What a lovely little site. In a (in our opinion) beautiful part of England.
The site is small - probably only an acre and a half or thereabouts, but at no time did it feel over-crowded or cramped. The new toilets are absolutely wonderful - with plenty of hot water etc. All the pitches are hard standing - which is great at this time of year - the only downside is that the gravel tends to walk into the van a bit - but so would mud if it wasn't hard standing!
Local village has a few nice pubs, with Hook Norton beer available!
The wardens were helpful and very nice - and there is free wifi on the site too. TV reception is a bit flakey, but you can get a watchable freeview with just the caravan aerial - just!
Worth watching out as you come down the hill to the site, as it's very easy to go past the entrance without seeing it until it's too late - so slow down at the top of the hill and keep 'em peeled!

We have just arrived home after spending a very pleasant bank holiday week-end at Twilite. All caravans /motorhomes are pitched on hardstanding with tents in the central grassy area.
Being so close to the M40 the site is really easy to get to but there can also be road noise during the busy commuter periods. For us it was not a problem - it certainly did not keep us awake at night.
One of the brick kilns has been turned into 2 brand spanking new toilet blocks. They are beautifully appointed and, even though the site was fully booked, never crowded.
There is a lovely canal side walk into the centre of Banbury (about 1hour) for cafe meals and a shorter one (25mins) into Kings Sutton for the Hook Norton!
This is a really friendly site. Lovely to see young families with their children having a great time in a safe environment.
Recommended - especially at £12 per night.

Can't fault this site! We had a warm welcome by the owner who was very friendly and helpful, as was his wife. The site is alongside the Oxford Canal a short walk over the bridge to the tow path and you have a lovely walk along the canal side into Banbury. There is a large Superstore a 5 minute drive away, also a village store and 3 pubs in the local village of kings Sutton. Approx a mile and half away.
The site is exceptionally well maintained with beautiful landscaped areas. The newly finished shower and toilet facilities are the best I've seen. There is also free wifi, and electric hook ups on all pitches.
We will definitely be visiting again.

This is a great campsite. Quiet and in a lovely landscaped setting. The owners are very friendly and will gladly pass the time of day with you.
There is a new shower and toliet block being completed, in one of the old brick kiln buildings. This looks very smart inside.
There is a small grass area for the kids to play on, but this is also the tent area. There weren't many people there when we were there and the kids had plenty of room to play.
The site is right next to the canal, with moorings and a tow path into Banbury.
Banbury is only about 5 minutes away by car with all kinds of shops. Sainsbury's and Morrisons are the nearest supemarkets.
There is a very good museum in the Banbury shopping arcade, all about The Cross and canal etc.
The motorway is fairly close, just the other side of a hill and the traffic noise can be heard, but its not so bad that you can't ignore it.
Again, this is a really nice site and I couldn't understand why it wasn't busier. GO THERE.
