During our cycling tour of Coastal Norfolk and Suffolk we chose to stay at this site as there is a bar and food available,(according to Cades guide and the local tourist info centre)important to us, as with all our choice of campsites, as we were on bikes and limited to what we could carry.
Lovely setting for a campsite, large well drained field, glorious views and peaceful too, we were very impressed until we went to reception to book and pay for our overnight stay. We almost fell through the floor as we were told £16, no electric hook up needed, we said, and a very small two man tent, no car either, but it was still the same price. Our dismay was further compounded when we were told that they weren't doing food either as it was 'too quiet', although probably half full to our eyes. Then to be told we had to pay 20p for a shower on top! The shower block was clean but old, the shower was barely adequate and 20p didn't give me enough time to wash, condition and rinse my hair. There was a nice pub in sizewell a few minutes walk away, thank goodness, otherwise we would have had to cycle over two miles back to Leiston. This was by far the most expensive site on our tour, with the least facilities, but a delightful spot. Nevertheless we won't be returning!

Cliff House was a great introduction to camping for myself and three kids. We'd borrowed must stuff but we didn't have a electrical hookup so the owners lent us one. Although they said the site was nearly full, it certainly was not crowded, unlike other sites I have driven past this year. Good basic facilities - including a games room and well kept beer in the clubhouse. No one seemed to frown at our motley collection of two tents and a beach shelter. The co-op in Leiston (2 miles) had everything we needed and there were load of take aways if you are so inclined.
Great position next to the beach: so good to sleep with the sound of the sea! Good walks all around. We walked to Thorpeness through the farms and heath and then back along the beach. Round trip about 5 miles though you could make it shorter by just using the beach. Southwold not far away (but use the Blythburgh road - its quite a short cut).
We had a great time - we'll be back.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, it was a nice quite site, right on the mostly pebble beach. The site shop was in the bar, prices where high, and very limited items, i.E. Bread and milk, not much more. The kids liked the crazy golf on site, this could have been better kept, this did not make any different to the little ones though. The shower block was adequate, but basic, the showers where coin operated and you had to be quick with a 20p shower. There are code locks on the doors, the kids kept forgetting the codes. On arrival you have to report to the reception in the main house, we where told to go any where, we pitched the Caravan to find that the electric was out of order so had to move had to re-pitch. It was OK as we just wanted to get a way for a couple of days. Could not stay too long though.

Arriving first at the Dunwich park with its posh frontage, childrens' playground and pub, we were a little concerned when we reached the site in the shadow of Sizewell power station. Why are there two identically named campsites within 5 miles of each other? Lord only knows.
However, we were really pleased with our stay in this smaller, quieter, more intimate campsite. The facilities were quite basic for the price, but I expect you're paying for being next to a lovely quiet pebbly beach where the fishermen rock up at 6 o'clock to catch Dover sole.
The loos were very clean, and the showers were hot even if you had to fork out all of 40p. They could do with another kitchen sink for washing up, and maybe a small playground for younger children - which we weren't short of.
The club house bar sells nice burgers and other basic meals and a fine pint. The owners are friendly, and the atmosphere is better than you'd expect. No fires are allowed (which might extend to BBQs), which is a shame. But with the wind off the sea, it might be a wise move!

We have just come back from a week at Cliff House Park and are suitably rested. If you like long walks along a near deserted beach this is the place for you. The camping field is level and well drained (given the weather this summer). The facilities are clean and ample (we were expecting a lot worse given some of the reviews we read but we are obviously much more easily pleased than a lot of people). We will definitely be back and would highly recommend the site if you want unspoilt scenery (even given Sizewell next door) and relative solitude. One word of caution, the site is next door to a Christian Conference Centre so be prepared for vigorous singing and praising God three times a day!

Just spent a lovely weekend at Cliff House camp site. Plenty of room between tents and caravans so nice and quiet. Good facilities. GREAT location - easy walkiing distance (couple of miles along the shoreline) to Minsmere RSPB reserve. Don't let the close proximity to Sizewell power station put you off - the coastline is still largely unspoilt and the club house overlooks the pebble beach and it's great to enjoy a nice pint of (Adnams!) beer while watching the sea. Food not bad either.

DO NOT CONFUSE WITH CLIFF HOUSE, DUNWICH LIKE ME! This is a nice, quiet, basic site, right next to the beach. Facilities clean, but like others I object to paying for the showers ;though they were hot and lasted long enough for a hair wash. Clubhouse only open at weekends out of season. Convenient for dogs, lovely walks and visiting Southwold, (don't miss the wacky pier games!)Snape, Aldborough etc. Would go again.

Not what I expected for the price. The site was nice and flat and very close to the sea which was good but it was very expensive for fairly basic facilities. The shop and club house was only open on the last couple of days of our stay so we didn't get a chance to visit them. The wash blocks had three rather basic showers in each but out of those one in each block (male and female) was not working. You had to pay for the showers, 20p a time, which only gave you a short time, so if you have long hair and wish to wash it 40p would be safer! There is only one sink for washing up and one for food preparation so you often had to wait for others with your bowl of washing up. There is a free fridge and freezer to use which was very useful. The site is right next door to Sizewell B and on our first night there was a humming sound but after that it was fairly quiet. This could be a super site but it needs to have the facilities up dated.

We've just had a really nice break here. We arrived on a Wednesday and the site was quiet and very friendly. It filled up at the weekend but it wasn't too noisy. My only moan is no one took any notice of the no ball games, it can be a bit annoying when footballs are flying around everywhere. Overall found the site OK and the surrounding area is beautiful.

We loved the location, despite the power stations. We were also impressed by the 'no noise after 10pm' rule which was adhered to, meaning that it was a lovely quiet weekend. Fantastic walks, 2 miles one way to Minsmere RSPB reserve & 3 miles the other to Aldeburgh via Thorpeness. The only downside was the 20p showers - they went on for long enough but weren't very warm and we couldn't help feeling that we shouldn't have to pay extra when the pitch was already more expensive than many we've stayed in.
