A quiet site, in a tranquil location; the site is located in Sand Bay, a 2 minute walk (100 yards) from the beach and a short stroll to the picturesque headland walks. Our Dog enjoyed the walks. The sandy beach is a joy to beachcombers who will find all sorts of flotsam and jetsam washed up on the shoreline. The estuary is certainly not a place to contemplate swimming in but the sand is good enough for a sand castle or two. There is a free car park and public toilet very close to the beach.
Amenities in the village were disappointing; there are a few pubs with tables outside (lovely local cider). The only place for food within a short walk of the site (with dog) was the local fish and chip shop (with ample seating on the wall outside or on the promenade), which closes are 9:30 :-(
Be warned, there is no local shop you will need to go into W-S-M to stock up.
Amenities in the site were basic but include the necessities; drinking water, toilet block with showers and toilets (the building is in very good repair but needed a clean) the site owner had switched off the hand dryers due to customer misuse!
Hook ups available for tents and others, good idea to request when booking. They are 10amp ONLY so no heaters permitted and no generators permitted either. This was great as there is nothing worse than having to pitch our tent next to a generator….
A laundry service is available on request.
No metal tent pegs! Plastic tent pegs are required; these are available from the site owner at a very reasonable price.
Check in is usually 2pm and departure 10:00 am, pay in full on arrival.
We stayed after the T4 weekend, there was a fair bit of rubbish on the camping field we pitched up in, despite there being lots of bins for the rubbish it is a real pity some campers can't work out how to use them.
Overall it is a lovely little site which we will certainly revisit if we return to Weston Super Mare. Very Dog friendly :-)

We have just visited this campsite. We were a group of 7 24-28 year olds. The owners were very helpful on arrival and sold plastic pegs which the campsite requires. We arrived around 9pm on a Friday night and the campsite was not too busy, we had plenty of space. The atmosphere is quite family orientated but as we were so far away from the other campers this was not a problem and as long as you don't make too much noise after midnight then all was fine. Location is lovely, nice country walks and the sea is about ten minutes away. We will stay again!

Have used this site loads of times can't praise it enough. Kids love it, look there is not much there but it's clean, friendly, welcoming and to be honest it's close enough to home but far away enough to be relaxing. I'll definitely use this site again and again

Friendly welcome from the owner. Plenty of space, and the grass was lovely. Despite the weather, it was lovely! VERY close to the sea. Facilities were good, though only one shower.
20 minute walk to local pub which served lovely food. Tip: Follow the white signs for toll road for Weston Super Mare.Up the hill! Much shorter in distance.
Tip: campsite only use plastic hooks, which we thought was most odd, but was informed that after a near accident, they only allow plastic hooks to be used. (you can purchase on site) Despite this, our Tent held in the strong winds! :-)
Overall this site was lovely.

Friendly welcome from the lady who runs the site. Plenty of space, there were only 2 other tents in our field. Lovely views and fresh air, literally 5 mins walk from beach! Toilets and showers were nice and clean, with flowers in the ladies. Very quiet site, suited for older people or families with kids who want to avoid the drunks etc. Only downside was that because we have a 8 berth tent, we had to pay for 2 pitches, but the man on the phone never told us that when we booked. Tip: The site is only 4 miles from Weston Super Mare, but if you follow the councils signs you'll drive literally around the entire outskirts of Weston before getting to the beach parking. Instead, just drive 'as the crow flies' from the campsite to Weston beach, it'll take 10 mins max depending on traffic. We initially followed the signposts and ended up all over the place!
