A great break in a beautiful setting.
Not our first stay here and it won't be our last. The setting is glorious in good weather with views up to Blencathra and the fells towards Keswick.
Although only a hundred or so metres from the A 66, it's quiet.
There is a good path into Threlkeld to catch buses, visit the Village Hall for coffee/cakes or eat at the pubs.
The Salutation did a very good chicken pizza and was much less rushed and cramped than the Horse and Farrier.
Cost/night with EHU for 2 people was 37 pounds.
The only minus here is that there isn't a food prep/ cleaning area but as every pitch has its own water supply, maybe that's not a big drawback.

Well worth the stop
The Site fitted us in for the night on the way home from Scotland. It is very convenient, about 10-12 miles from the A66/M6 roundabout and 3 or so miles from Keswick on a flat but scenic walk.
We'd stayed here a few times before so knew how high the standards were.
All the toilets and showers are clean and hot but I did have to wait for a while. In the morning rush.
The Horse and Farrier is still a good pub and this is an excellent site.
Lovely Cumbria location.

Let’s do the bad bit first…. The men’s shower block was average. Two sinks, two toilets and two showers. That said, although the site was full for more than one of the nights we stayed, I didn’t have to queue once.
Everything else was great. Women’s block was one of the best visited(so I was told) Pitches were large, flat and fully serviced, also had a tv connection. The views were second to none and worth every penny on their own.
The site was easy to get to, 10-12 miles off the motorway and straight off the A66. All in all it gets a 10 from us

Lovely site 5 miles from Keswick just off A66, but far enough off it to not notice the traffic noise.
Friendly welcome, clean, nicely laid out level gravel pitches with 16A hookup, fresh water tap and grey water drain on each pitch.
Good toilets and showers, also Elsan disposal point.
The only thing missing was dishwash facility but that didn't bother us too much. Pitches are a good size and all look south out over the hills towards Matterdale Common.
Village of Threlkeld a short walk (though you have to cross the busy A66), with two pubs and a nice coffee shop.
Lovely paved cycle path into Keswick along the old railway beside the river.

This was our second visit to Threlkeld Hall, we love this location
The site has very spacious super pitches, all having fantastic views, the site is very well kept along with well maintained toilets and showers.
The location is really good for eating out, tourist attractions and some fantastic walks from the site.

Finding the site at Threlkeld Hall was very easy from the main road between Penrith and Keswick being well signposted from the main road which is less than a mile away.
The site is very quiet, spacious with an open aspect, tucked below the farm buildings, and accommodates 16 vans with fully serviced pitches. A top notch small site.
The site has a lovely outlook to near and distant fells. The welcome from Tracy was appreciated and Threlkeld village has a super coffee shop and a pub serving meals.
Easily reached along a track which also takes you onto a National Cycle Route between Penrith and Keswick, the latter being about 6 miles by bike on a superb cycleway.
Endless walking options on the fells and within the dales around Keswick.
