Actual camping site on a slope, big field, we were number 12, with ehu, boggy at the electric point, took small kettle we always use for camping, electric tripping out with this,
We paid for awning but no room to put awning so didn't put it up, our dogs were bark free but lots of dogs barking,
Owner came around on golf trolley with wood, seemed OK, told me I had to put a lead on my dog that was sat by my side.
Toilets, 2 only for 20 tents, so potentially for 120 people, no hot water in the toilets, to wash, no towel in toilet to dry hands, but signs saying do not dry hands on toilet paper, paper towels in pot wash area.
20p for a shower, it was rubbish to say the least, no temp control so got what you got.
Washed our pots in sink area, water was cold.
So paid for electric we couldn't really use without standing outside for 10 mins resetting the trip. Paid for awning we had no room for, and spent the morning queuing for the 2 toilets, 1 shower, so won't be back, we have camped for 20 years, and this site needs to spend some instead of taking, not a bad review from me, just honest.
But had WiFi.

Well kept site and very friendly staff that are very helpful,
Toilets and shower block could do with updating with extra put in as there is a queue at times.
Overall a very good place to stay and will definitely stay again.

Anglesey can be an expensive place to camp, this is one of the more reasonable places.
There are two toilets, a washbasin and two showers (20ps required) all shared by men and women.
A small washing-up space next door. All clean.
Few facilities nearby, a shop and cafe and pub in Newborough, and the lovely forest and beach there.

The site is on a slight slope, the ground is good for camping (no stones).
The cost was expensive for two people as the charge is not based on the size of tent but the number people it sleeps.
Ours is an older small 6 birth tent but we were charged the same as a more modern larger 6 birth tent.
The facilities did not match up to expectations. In our field there was only one washing up sink which was inadequate when the site was busy over the week-end. Also, only two unisex showers plus one male shower. 20p per 4 minutes but the payment meter was outside of the shower cubicle which makes things difficult. There were other facilities in another field across the farm yard.
Barking dogs from permanent caravans were very annoying in the morning.
I can recommend the Anglesey Model Village and Cafe for a pizza on Monday evenings up to 20:00 and cream teas during the day (we only visited the cafe).

When we visited, it was very quiet with acres of space.
Very sheltered.
Nearest beach at Newborough approx 1. 5 miles away.
Safe, brilliant beach at Porth Trecastell, approx 15 mins away in a car.
Washroom, showers and toilets were spotless.

A lovely quiet campsite very close to the wonderful Newborough Forest & Beach.
Set in a vineyard with views across to the mountains of Snowdonia this was a beautiful setting. The mature trees that surrounded the camping fields provided excellent shelter against the Anglesey breeze which can be strong at times.
Even though there is no playground for youngsters the great big open spaces provided great opportunity to play games and ride their bikes.
The site itself was spotless and well maintained with all the basic facilities you need (including good Wi-Fi). The owner Wendy was very helpful and there was always someone to give a helping hand or advice.
This is a real gem of a campsite and we will be back.

Lovely, friendly, relaxed people running this well-cared for campsite.
Beautiful grass, sheltered, shady trees, no view of sea or mountains in the field where we were, but lots of wildlife all around - owls, kestrels, rabbits - and vine leaves turning red and fruit bushes dripping with berries on the hedgerow.
Showers were a bit underwhelming, but a handy fridge and freezer and everything spick and span. Fire pits can be hired.
A short drive/cycle to Newborough and not too far from Bangor either.
Surprisingly empty site in mid August - not sure why - so incredibly peaceful.
We'll be back again.

Wendy was great. Her communication was excellent, she welcomed us on arrival and was on site whenever we were there.
It was a great place to be based.
The toilets and showers were very clean and I would recommend this site.

This is a real gem of a site that suited us perfectly. Lovely open field with shelter and some shade (which was welcome as we were there during the heatwave).
Facilities were basic but good and were well-maintained and very clean.
The site is easy to find and get to but was quiet with no real traffic noise.
Wendy and Jean who run the site were very friendly and well organised and generally around on site during the day.
There were other fields higher up through a farm yard but as these were separate the site did not appear too large or busy.
There was plenty of space between units. We have marked it as a site to come back to.
