Site easy to find. Check in good. We booked 3 pitches on the creek. We loved watching the tide come in and out. What a view.

Please be mindful that there is a public footpath running right beside these pitches.

Bar lovely but shower block run down. Lovely walks from the site.

The worst part of our stay was that 1 of our pitches was moved.

The pitch wasn’t flooded but they let someone else stay on there. Our female friend was on her own in a tent, so not great. This left us with a bad impression, especially with the way it was handled.

Most sites we have been to, if you want to stay on, you have to be prepared to move and not ruin the next persons holiday.

Great location overlooking the Creek, 10 minutes walk to seafront.

Country walks on doorstep.

Dog friendly.

Very friendly staff. Great cafe/restaurant 😀.

As other reviews, great location and friendly staff. Perfect for water sports a few hours either side of high tide. The beach is a short walk only.

Facilities are very worn and dated now, this has been a theme for other visitors. The play park, loved by my young boys, is crumbling.

The big question, would I go back?

Without hesitation, yes.

 Lovely views. Facilities spotless.

Extremely busy at weekends for water sports.

Our pitch was well sized but did notice that some pitches in centre seemed to be a bit tight.

There is a wee shop which we thought was reasonably priced for a site shop. Never tried the restaurant so can’t comment.

Staff very friendly.

Some pitches needing a wee bit of a tidy up.

Although site was extremely busy at weekends it was quiet at night.

We stayed at this campsite on our return from France to Portsmouth. They were helpful in agreeing a late check-in and the warden was friendly when we arrived at around 7. 30 pm.

However, that is where the good stuff ends. On top of a very high basic price per night, they charge extra for an awning, and this is a charge for one week even if you are staying only for one night.

In the end, as it was very windy when we arrived and continued windy all the next day, we didn’t put up our drive-away awning, and were refused a refund on the week’s charge.

Therefore, we would advise that if there is any doubt about whether you are going to use your awning, you don’t pre-pay on booking as you will not be refunded.

The facilities were clean, but in very old, shabby and run down buildings (paint peeling off the external doors) and internal metal doors like public toilets.

Very strangely, in the women’s toilet block there was uncomfortably loud music playing all night and all day – why on earth?? Don’t pitch close to the ladies loo – you can hear this all night! These were not the facilities you would expect for a site charging over £40 per night including the awning fee.

We would not use this site again

Nice site. Great spot with excellent access to the creek.

The wardens are super friendly and helpful.

Shower block could do with updating, but very clean and tidy.

Always return 2 or 3 times a year! Will be back.

Site very tired, shower and toilets facilities although spotless could do with being updated.

Pitches very hard and uneven, difficult to peg out awning /tent.

We had a premium pitch on the lake side, very little view of the lake though, could do with the foliage being trimmed back.

Location though is pretty good for the water lovers out there. Hayling Island itself has very little to offer,

Could be a great place with tourist minded people in charge.

Had a great few days at fishery creek.

Wardens are friendly and are always on hand.

Showers are plentiful and was the only person in there when I used them.

Good location right by the creek and a short walk to the sea front.

The site has a small grocery selection but there is a Mcolls shop just a few yards up the road. We had to buy a few blue loo and Gas from the site shop and to be fair the prices were very reasonably in fact the gas was the cheapest I’ve paid in years.

Definitely on a list of sites to return too
