Fishery creek was a tidy, well maintained site with the most beautiful views across the creek. I would definitely recommend a creek side pitch.
Everything was in walking distance and staff were very friendly.
Great for relaxed fishing and walks along the creek.
Yes it was slightly expensive in comparison to some sites, but worth the extra money.
Will hopefully go again this year.

This is probably the best site on hayling island, very clean and tidy and quiet. A nice play area for the kids
But be warned it is very expensive and I think over priced for a site without a proper shop etc. I was also charged a booking fee, which was never mentioned before. I'd like to visit again but for less money you can get a site with entertainment, shop, kids club etc.

The pitches are a decent size and the site is kept very clean and tidy.
The toilets are clean but not heated. The showers are nice but they are on a timer that lasts for about 15 seconds a time, this is quite frustrating.
I thought the park overpriced and very annoyed when charged an additional £1.50 booking fee when no mention had been made of this prior to booking.
When the tide is in the view over the creek is fantastic.
It's a good 10 minute walk to the beach and pubs.

We have visited this site many times since 2004, it's like 'going home', I love the peace, the beautiful walk around the creek towards the Yacht Club. It is always sunny when we go, apart from one Easter when it snowed. Its easy to walk up to the front, only a few shops but what the heck I don't go on holiday to look round shops, I can do that at home! The remarks about the boarded up places in a previous review, if you go anywhere nowadays, you see pubs boarded up, houses boarded up. Even when we went to the beautiful Lake District there were places in 'ill repair', sign of the times!
I cannot fault this site, the position of it is ideal. Okay it is a little expensive, but not the most expensive one we've stayed at which was in Cornwall at £36 per night!
Lots of seasonal caravans again, which I really find spoils anywhere as they keep everything underneath and around the caravan.

First time at this site and had a really good time, staff were really nice, friendly and very helpful. Very reasonably priced with a lot to do on the island and plenty of places to go. A regular bus service runs from just outside the site, toilets and showers are a bit old but kept very clean as was the whole site. There is also a shop on site that sell basics but there is a nice little mini market just a five minute stroll away, also some nice walks around the lakes which is ideal if you have a dog, there is also a reasonably good priced laundry on site. We will definitely be back next year.

After reading some previous reviews I was a bit worried - but we had a wonderful time at this site & so I thought it only fair to leave feedback. Wardens were really friendly & helpful, pitches were big & clearly marked out & facilities were basic but clean - so just fine :o)
The seasonal pitch holders that spoke to us were very friendly & lots of kids played on the playarea happily making new friends.
It was explained to us that they are thinking of just doing caravans next year - we hope this isn't the case as we'd very much like to go back.

We camped at this site twice in 2007 with a 4 man tent, and enjoyed our stay ,albeit, with seasonal pitchers partying well after 11pm !This year we enquired about the possibility of spending two nights on the site in our new Khyam Ontario 8 family tent, and were told in no uncertain terms that this size of tent is too big to pitch on this site! I have to say,I was more than a little miffed by this.

Three nights here with mixed weather but constant strong winds, almost gale force at times. Noted all long-termers had at least one, if not two storm guys fitted and while our porch remained put, I definitely see a need for a new purchase.
We opted for a Creek side pitch and paid a handsome price for it - the most expensive site we've ever stayed at, at just short of £28 a night. This for a single axle, two adults, an porch awning and a dog. Decent sized pitch but only permitted to go head first if keeping to the extreme left of the pitch, thus procluding the use of an awning which is a pity. Reliable EHU was handy as were water and waste points.
Site is well laid out and well maintained with tarmac access and pitches marked out by white plastic chain and twee number plates. A barrier card is supplied, normally with a deposit I think but we arrived late and this was not demanded. Wardens helpful and friendly but felt harassed when parking up as they clearly wanted to ensure we pitched correctly. Side views of the creek were OK but would have preferred the direct vista but given the amount of rainfall an awning was a necessity rather than a luxury.
Toilets and wash basins in one block and the showers a 40 yard walk away. Used the loo one morning, went for a shower and then had to go back to the toilet block to shave - only to find all the sinks plugless! They were reasonably clean during our stay but no amount of paint can reduce the appearance of age.
The site is well located next the creek which almost dries out at low water. A near 3m rise of tide makes for a contrasting image. There's a handy slipway available for boats from the campsite too. Paths lead off in both directions on the north side of the creek. To the west a 10 minute walk into town and eastward along and out to the estuary/yachtclub.
Hayling Island has a rather tired appearance with boarded up pubs only adding to the impression. The single fish and chip shop on the seafront road proved a bit disappointing, some competition might have helped. There are signs of new development and investment will surely come bringing some form of rejuvenation but for now its not a place I'd rush to come back to. Friends who spent their childhood here tell tales of gorgeous sandy beaches - now showered with shingle by a dredger to prevent coastal erosion - shame.
As previously reported the main attraction is the road off the island - for us to Bosham, a beautiful village on the other side of the estuary full of the beautiful people and a dog-friendly, waters edge pub, the Anchor Bleu with great beer and good food, made all the more welcome as a refuge from the rain. Immediately on the other side of the causeway lies Langstone on the Solent Way. The Ship Inn on the main road is a Fullers pub which we bypassed this to the Royal Oak just round the corner which has loads of character and a good menu though we didn't eat here.
Deciding not to rush back on Sunday we requested a late checkout and were told we could remain till 4.00 pm for £1 per extra hour after noon.

This is the first non Caravan and Camping club site that we have ever stayed on and we were immediately disappointed to see how small the pitches were especially as they were charging £25 per night for a tent with no hook up.
The staff very helpfully put us next to the toilet & shower facilities as my partner is disabled. However the toilet block was very smelly and dirty by lunchtime.
The toilet & shower block doors had sliding bolts on the inside, making it difficult for anyone to help out in an emergency.
The shower block was constantly wet due to no ventilation. I was hoping to mop the dirty shower floor before I stepped in but there were no mops or squeegies for me to use.
Overall the site has the barest of disabled facilities. My partner has difficulty walking and standing which means he needs a disabled shower where he can sit down. We were surprised to see that the disabled facilities were segregated, meaning that I could not enter his shower and help him. As soon as he got into the shower cubicle, everything was wet with condensation, so that there was nowhere dry to put his clothes. The facilities make it impossible to shower and then put dry clothes on. The showers are also push-button operated which means that you have to hold the button whilst holding the shower attachment.
No thought has gone into providing usable disabled facilities. They could be much improved with a small amount of thought.
After spending 2 nights at this site I would not recommend this site to anybody.

Wardens friendly enough, but unsure why they asked if we had children or dogs. When told that we had neither they then put us on a pitch between 2 families who decided to have a water fight with the fire hoses and play tennis between the caravans. The toilets weren't clean and the path by the side of the creek the walkthrough to the shops was like a dogs toilet, although I know this isn't the campsite's fault, it would deter me from visiting the site again. Will stick to CL sites in future
