First time at this site and must say it is very well kept and friendly welcome and wardens.
The showers, toilets where up to standard, the site has superb views along the creek and wonderful wild life on the lake.
The only warning I would give is watch out on pricing, price per pitch October from £13 90 then add on electric £4 20, then add on creek or lakeside pitch £3 20 then add on awning £3 75 then add on dog £2 65.
This site then becomes very very expensive especially for out of season October.

We stayed here for 4 nights.
We had 4 pitches and ranged from 3 years old up to 60 years old.
The site is 80% full with season pitches at the moment.
We were on pitches 10 to 14 which were tucked away and over looking the water.
It’s a nice, clean, quiet site with great views over the water. It has some good walks along the river, and some good bike rides.
The showers are clean, and look quite new. They do have the annoying push button to operate and lasts all of 5 seconds.
The toilet block I wasn’t so impressed with. It was clean but reminded me of a public toilet block and really smelt of urine.
The washing up facilities were good, again they were clean and modern.
There was a little park for the kids to play in; it was safe and enclosed with fencing and a gate. We didn’t use it as it was on the opposite side of the site from us.
All in all. A great site.

Our 1st time on this site, we found it to be absolutely delightful.
Spotlessly clean and the owners and other users were very friendly. Peaceful with a lovely 5 minute walk to the beach, shops, pubs and takeaways.
The only things I would criticise would be the showers, although very clean the water only stayed on for about 30 seconds at a time making it very hard to shower.
The other being the price, we stayed on a premium pitch overlooking the creek, lovely when the tide is in but otherwise just mud flats, I would probably go for a different pitch next time as I found £33. 80 ( van 2 adults and 3 dogs) per night a little steep nevertheless
We would definitely recommend this site to family and friends and will make many more return visits.

What a lovely peaceful site. Wardens were very friendly. On-site shop stocked few basic items. Separate shower and toilet blocks were very clean.
Play area for children upto 10 years of age was behind potwashing area, which kept their footballs away from the pitches.
Only a 5-10 minute walk to shops/sea front/pubs via a public footpath along side the creek. Take the opposite footpath for great walks/dogs/fishing etc.
Barrier to site is locked at 11pm and doesn't open until 7. 30am this minimises traffic overnight - great tranquil site. Great base for touring the surrounding area.
Will definitely go back.

Lovely site in a great location for exploring Hayling Island by foot or bike. There is a footpath along the creek down to the beach and an easy cycle ride along the seafront.
We chose the site as it has a slipway for small boats - tides weren't great for us and there is limited access as the creek is very shallow. Having said this, we did get out easily and were soon in Chichester Harbour, so good access.
Facilities were good - very clean and of an excellent standard. Wardens were friendly and had a sense of humour. Small shop locally has a good selection of food and within a short walk there are more local facilities including takeaways, cafes, pubs and shops.
Pitches are laid out well with small chain fences separating them and are a good size.

We had a great few days here, there were 4 of us 2 adults 2 children.
The kids loved the campsite we had our pitch right next to the creak the pitch was a good size plenty of room for the tent and car plus room left over for the kids to play on.
The showers, toilets, wash up area were all in a good clean state seeing the site was ¾ full I though the blocks were very good
Hayling Island does now look better than it did a few years ago there is now a keep fit park by the beach within walking distance the beach was also ok
We would use this park again

We stayed at Fishery Creek over the bank holiday weekend. We had some reservations about the site having read some of the reviews, especially the waste site next door.
All I can say is that we were glad to try it for ourselves. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was incredibly nice and helpful.
The site itself was very nice and we availed ourselves of the creek on a gloriously sunny weekend. We even bought a boat to mess about in.
I would recommend that you choose a premium pitch as I thought that the middle of the field looked a bit over crowded.
The household waste site presents absolutely no issues at all. The toilets and showers where kept very very clean and the grounds quite well kept.
I would highly recommend this site and look forward to new section of the A3 at Hindhead being opened this summer so we can get back down there without the traffic around the Devils Punchbowl. Great Site highly recommended

The pitching area is a very large virtually level open space. I would guess around 100 pitches. We visited at the end of the season with the site virtually empty, so no idea what it is like when busy. On one side is a small lake, on another is the tidal creek, and on the third side is the islands Household Waste Disposal Site. Not a welcoming sight as you drive in for the first time, however, it did not seem to interfere with our enjoyment of the site. Very little has been done to landscape the area save for some small beds to attract butterflies.
The facilities are over to one side of the site making for quite a walk from some of the pitches. The washing / toilet block has a modern interior, is spacious and well maintained. The showers (free) are in a separate building. Again, modern and well maintained. (7, plus 1 disabled shower in both ladies and gents side.)
Behind the facilities buildings is a substantial children’s play area.
The reception also contains a small shop for your basics.
I agree with Peribro’s review of June 2010 in regard to Hayling Island itself and most other reviewers’ comments on the price.
To sum up: A competently run site, at the high end of the price range, but felt ‘soulless’ to me.

Lovely site, with lovely views over creek. Showers and loos very good, and very clean.
Lots of seasonal pitches, which were in the centre of the site, so used our pitch for a short cut which I thought a bit intrusive.
We had a lovely 3 nights stay, with a 15 minute walk to the sea front and a few shops, also excellent Fish and Chip shop. We took our bikes so enjoyed cycling along to the Funfair at the other end of the Island.
Bus stop very convenient at end of the main road leading into the site., we went into Havant to meet family, it was great not having to take our 'Mobi'

The site is on a lovely location with the creek on one side and a lake on another side. Although virtually all pitches were taken when we went, it was very peaceful and relaxed. It seemed that a lot (perhaps half) of the caravans on the site were unoccupied (we were there on a Thursday night) and my guess is that they are used at weekends so I imagine that it gets busier then.
The staff were very friendly and the facilities absolutely fine - showers in particular were very good. As such I couldn't fault the site or its views.
However the surrounding area - in fact Hayling Island itself - leaves a lot to be desired and was a big disappointment. My wife and I hadn't visited it for some 30 years and unfortunately it has changed for the worse. The beaches (where they were once sand and dunes) are now mostly shingle in order to provide sea defences and many parts of the island look dilapidated and tired.
It is a great shame as the site is excellent and were it not for the surrounding area we would visit it again. If using it as a base for visiting Chichester, Portsmouth etc, then it would be fine although the traffic onto and off the island can be horrific in the holiday season, I believe.
One final thing, is the price - others have commented and I agree that it is very expensive. £25 for the night for hook up only seems a lot.
