This was the first site we visited with our new to us caravan, we knew Hayling Island as we had holidays there over the years but not with a tourer. Upon pulling up at reception I knew this was going to be a lovely site due to its clean and very organised looking site, the staff were extremely friendly from the start. We explained we were new to caravanning, so she allocated me a pitch that was easy to navigate, we stayed on a hard standing pitch which was shingle.
We stayed for 5 nights and we couldn't fault it at all, the surroundings were perfect for walking, everything was in easy reach, beach, shops etc. The shower blocks were outstanding, music playing was a lovely touch, you do have to pay for extras but the prices were reasonable, the barrier system is excellent. I could write much more to praise this site, but I will finish by saying anyone who visits this site will not be disappointed at all. We have gone back here another three times since then as well, so a proven site for me.

Lovely site in lovely location. Bit pricey with electric hook up and premium pitch added to cost. I had a lake side pitch which I got charged a few pounds extra for but worth it as it was spacious and fenced off as were all the pitches around the lake and creek edge. I wouldn't have wanted one of the pitches in middle of park as they all seemed quite cramped. The showers and toilets were very clean and never busy. I didn't try the restaurant as it is only open in the evenings on weekdays and nothing on the evening menu really appealed to me. It's a shame they don't open for breakfast everyday instead of just weekends. I walked to the beach which was about 10 minutes from the site and after a lovely walk along the beach brought fish and chips back to the van. The site shop is literally limited to a couple of shelves in the reception area however there is Premier convenience store just a couple of minutes walk down the road and a bigger store near the beach. Just one thing to be aware of if you book a water side pitch is that there were rats running around, one taking great interest in trying to get into the trailer tent on the pitch next to me whenever the occupants went out. I guess that's to be expected near water. Would definitely stay on the site again though.

OK we arrived when it said that the site was full but found a pitch for our motorhome which was far to small even to sit outside, if you had a pitch on the perimeter of the site they are much bigger but more costly. We went to the Bistro on site and hubbys meal was ok, but mine wasn't, I ordered Mules Mariner which is supposed to be cooked in White wine, Garlic and Parsley, mussels were adequate, but they were swimming in water at least 1 litre, no sign of wine or garlic, I then ordered a desert of icecream which was plonked in front of me in a cardboard container straight from the freezer. Good site for walks and town.

Site was very cramped, and to be fair, didn't seem over friendly. On arrival the staff members main concern was that we paid our money on time, saying it in a way she thought funny, we thought patronising. This was echoed by another member of staff when I did go to pay, first of all trying to convince me we were 'only' paying about £25 per night, (it was actually over £30), and then suggesting, 'what did we expect, it's Bank Holiday and we have to make our money somehow' not good PR? It was BH but we only stayed 1 night of the BH which was the Friday, but because it was all the BH that weekend, we had to pay a premium for 3 nights, work that one out, we couldn't?
Staff aside, to be fair, the site was OK. Not a bad location, toilet block was clean and never too busy, didn't try the restaurant as again, the staff were so over the top about it we didn't bother. Would we go back there, no.

The location of the site makes it an ideal weekend stop over for us though it will not be during school holidays again! this is nothing to do with the children who appear to enjoy themselves but it is due to the cramped pitches which are very close together except on the lake side or creek side, which is where we will ask for to enable us to visit again. The facilities whilst a bit dated were always clean & tidy and even though the site was very full, never seemed overcrowded. There is a pleasant little restaurant on site which serves lunch & dinners. It's a quick walk into the 'town' where there are some shops and the beach, and a couple of really nice pubs, the closest being the Olive Leaf but if you like to walk or cycle going to the other side of the island the ferryboat is excellent

Love this place! Have stayed here 3 times this year so far and it is fantastic - prime pitches right on the creekside are available and worth the extra just for the view. Site is extremely clean and tidy with cracking flowerbeds. Facilities are a little dated but spotless and plentiful. There is a restaurant on site but haven't used it yet as it's always packed. No more than a 10 min stroll along the footpath to the seafront with couple of pubs, shops, fish & chips/takeaways, etc.

Visited this site for the Bank Holiday weekend. The site was full, we never queued for the showers or toilets. This site did not feel crowded. All the pitches were marked out with a scale model of the pitch in reception with a toy car and caravan.
Our pitch backed on to the creek that was tidal, very pretty. The site has a slip way and a lot of the other campers had inflatable boats. The dog walk along the creek into Chicester harbor is very good.
The Toilets and Showers were separate buildings which was OK, but I do prefer it all in one block. However it worked and both were very clean, correct temperature and user friendly.
We used the Ferry Inn twice, it is located at the point where the old Hayling ferry ran from, it allows dogs in one of its bars and the food was very good. We also had kebabs delivered to site. The site does has a restaurant on site, however we were put off by the lack of a menu, unclear if dogs were allowed, bookings and cash only. We were told on arrival it is very popular and you need to book. I could have asked for a menu and about dogs.
The site sold gas, but no real shop, there is a large news agent near by and all the usuals in the main town less than 5 minute drive away
We visited Hayling Island, South sea and Portsmouth
We would visit the site again

I was looking for a site not too far from home for a long weekend. As we like Hayling Island for its dog walks it seemed a good choice with a nice location and good reviews.
The site itself is pleasant enough, we were pitched adjacent to the slipway into the creek which meant a lot of passing pedestrians but the vista with the tide in was very picturesque, not quite so nice at low tide just being a vast expanse of mud. The pitch was large enough for our caravan and awning with the car squeezed in beside the 'van, hookup and water nearby and the pitch a mixture of pea shingle and grass.
The welcome was just that ! No silly rules just sensible suggestions regarding pitching the caravan and awning. Unfortunately the on site bistro was still getting its finishing touches so was not open but there are shops, cafes and takeaways close by so no problem there.
The facilities are very dated externally looking like a throwback to the 60's but inside very clean, underfloor heating and plenty of hot water.
Overall the site is a little unkempt with many seasonal caravans on site but they are in the main in good order and don't detract from the site too much. The feel of the site is very open as there is little in the way of hedging or trees just soft delineation of pitches one from another.
Very peaceful, don't expect manicured lawns and topiary, Fishery Creek is a well run, no-frills site. It does exactlly what it claims to do and we had no gripes at all. We asked if we could check out a bit later than the 12:00 deadline and as there was no-one followingus onto our pitch we were allowed to stay for the rest of the day for £5. Great as we hadn't got far to travel home we could walk the dogs on the beach in the morning then pack up quietly without any pressure.
Theres card operated security barriers which lock at 11pm which is a bonus and we would definitely return if we planned to stay on the Island again.

This is a wonderful site with great people managing the site.
I am very new to the touring caravan world and this was my first time out.
I had a very nice warm welcome on arrival and I felt I better explain this was my first time out just in case of any mishaps.
I was reassured I would be a season pro after a few trips out and if there was anything I didn't understand just come back to reception and ask and they would point me in the right direction which they did more than once.
That evening my wife and five year old son joined me and we had our evening meal at the camp sites small but very clean and very reasonably priced restaurant with a childs menu and happy staff.
This was a great find by my wife with all its clean and very tidy facilities we will be back to enjoy this great camp site very soon.
Thank you for your friendly welcome and advice.
