Very large pitch.

The best campsite on Skye :) Free boiling water (kettle) accessible 24h is so simple yet so helpful solution. Free power sockets also accessible 24h is another feature of the campsite I appreciate.
Flat space for tents, showers, toilets, all you could wish on a campsite.
What was missing? Maybe a small shop with basic equipment like midges repellent, gas cookers cartridges etc. might be a good addition.

On arrival the owner was so helpful and we were given a really excellent pitch with fantastic views
All amenities were clean and the campsite was in great order
Even washing up liquid was provided
In terms of showers one suggestion would be to either provide a seat or extra hooks to hang more items on

Good location as a base in Skye. Walking distance to shops and restaurants (about a mile/20mins uphill on the way back. )
From the website thought this was going to be like staying in car park but was pleasantly surprised. Good views and a steady breeze to keep midges away at the top end. Site split into sections with tents, campervans and motor homes /caravans separate.
Larger units are at the top end furthest from facilities and water point. Facilities are a bit dated but functional. Showers have nowhere to keep clothes or dress in the dry so take a bag with your clothes to hang on the door.
We were on pitch 14 which is large and relatively private with good views. We have a larger caravan and needed the motormover to get onto the pitch.
Campers have pot washing available and phone charging. Washers and dryers available albeit expensive.
The hostel in Portree might be better for laundry. Most tent pitches on slope, flatter area under trees or soggy.

It was a great site, lovely views and the site was very clean and quiet.
The village was only a 20min walk.
The pitches were well laid out.
We would definitely go back.

Excellent facilities at campsite and location was very good.
Only a 15 min walk into portree to grab some dinner.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Would defo stay again and recommend to others.

We were unable to book for our intended 5 days, such is the popularity of the site. The site itself is well kept but is on a hillside and slopes. The tourers area has been levelled but you will need blocks if positioned to the front as it slopes off (I forgot ours).
We didn’t use the facilities, other than the wash up area to clean the bbq. This was a personal choice due to Covid. I did stick my head in and found them to be clean.
The site is in easy walking distance of Portree, although there are a couple of steep hills on the way back. The town is lovely, but can be busy with day visitors. There is a nice ice cream shop, which had a queue outside. The ice cream was great and our grand dog enjoyed his ice cream cone.
We were fortunate to be able to visit the Fairy pools on a sunny day. We avoided the main pools which were busy and had a relaxed time at some others.
We are looking forward to returning to Skye for a longer stay and will most likely stay at Torvaig.

Very nice site well set out with good facilities and pleasant staff
We enjoyed our time there.
Not too far away from the centre of Portree within walking distance.

Friendly staff and service
Clean showers and site

Hard standing was level and were advised that as we had an awning to pitch against banking to get shelter

Beautiful clean and friendly site.
Easy walking distance in to portree.
