Just returned from four days at Torvaig. Excellent small site with many people just staying over for one night. Well equipped with plenty showers and toilets. Weather was great for first two days - suntan abound. Next two days were heavy rain and gales during the night so not much sleep. Tent stayed up - that's all that matters.
Will definitely be going back !

Fantastic site. Perfect location for the central town on Skye, Portree. Toilets were clean and tidy and site was quiet and peaceful. Owners were really friendly and helpful.
The Cuillins can be seen from the site which made for a fantastic view first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening.
Cheap and cheerful too. A fantastic site all round. Well recommended.

Good campsite, this one. Small-ish for motorhomes but with a very friendly feel. Toilets adequate, electric hook-ups fine.
Ground slopes a little so remember your chocks!
Lovely views out over the water towards Raasay to wake up to.
A campsite I'd recommend for anyone to visit.

Once again a great visit. We stayed 5 nights this year. Fees still £4 per person per night and £2 for electricty. A tenner a night, great. Plenty of weather again this year, traditionally Scottish though, every 10 minutes it changed.
Anyway, site well looked after and warden folks very helpful. One checked all the hook up points in the rain after a fellow camper suffered a loss of power. Only to find the fault was with the outfit! Oh well he tried.
Ate at MacNabs in Portree found good food and beer also used chinese takeaway in back street.
Good selection of shops and takeaways in Portree. Plenty of walks and drives etc.
Loads of wildlife if your in the right place and get right weather. Saw a pair of Golden Eagles near Struan this year. Makes a change from buzzards.
All in all good little site, good facilities for it's size.
Be back next year. Despite our luck with weather.
Tesco are trying to get a store in Portree. In my opinion, as someone living in Tescoland, it would be the worst possible thing to happen to Skye. If you want more stores let the smaller scale operations in.

A well maintained site run by a very pleasant and helpful park warden. Toilets and showers spotless, site clean and tidy. Also facilities to wash and dry laundry. Only downside is one water tap down by shower block and site is on slope. Fees at £10.00 per night including electricity are the cheapest that we have come across in the last few years.
Site is within walking distance of Portree but only cost £3.50 for a taxi, plenty of local shops and eating places.
Good walking area,(some excellent walks from the site) for The Quiraing,The Cuillins and many more.
Our third visit and will definitely return.

I loved this campsite. I have been twice. Once before the shower/toilet blocks were upgraded and once after. The views are amazing and you can see for miles across stunning landscapes. It's very well kept and the facilities are great.
It has a real buzz about it due to how busy it is with visitors of all nationalities and serious climbers as well as families and bikers.
I went in september and then in April in quiet times so I imagine it might be very busy in peak season. It's not really a family campsite as such but I remember seeing a couple of kids.
The upgraded shower blocks were amazing;clean modern and warm, and the showers lovely and hot. I am dreaming of going back one day to take my daughter to see the incredible Skye landscape. Portree is near enough to walk to the pub but you would need a bright torch and a good sense of direction.
We found a rather rough pub the first time and a nice wee hotel bar the second trip. Something for everyone. There are a few nice shops and cafe's near the harbour which is quaint for a wee stroll round.
We did venture right up to Nigg first trip in the car which was scenic, and second trip we did a couple of good walks around the needle like rock formations.
I remember someone in our party had a good OS map and we found the trails no problem even though they weren't signposted. I was lucky to see a raven on that walk.

Great little site great facilities all round. Sloping site but easy to fix with corner jacks and 1 wedge. All very friendly. Stayed 4 nights at £4 a night. A bit of wind while we were there but never mind. Short walk into Portree, pubs, shops, chippy, restaurant etc. Bit awkward after a good night to walk back up hill from town but taxis very good. Would we go back???? YOU BET.

This is a brilliant campsite! Immaculate campsite, beautiful flower bed at the gate and the grass was short and the grass cuttings collected. The guys who work there are really helpful and friendly. You pay day and only £3 per person per night! The gate is shut at 11.30 but there is a place to leave your car outside the gate and this is off the road behind a gate. The toilet and shower blocks were immaculate and spacious, plenty space to get changed in your shower cubical. Free hot water and it was easy to control the showers. Stunning views from the campsite. Ground is slightly sloping but there are plenty of flat bits to camp on. Easy access to Portree but we were not bothered with road noise. The campsite was really peaceful when we were there. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent location for a centrally based site to explore Skye from - a bargain at £3 pppn with a tent.
Site manageress was very friendly, as was the guy who collected the dues in the morning.
Toilet and shower block is clean and functional - there is also a washing area and drying room available if needed.
Portree centre is 10 minutes walk from here where there are plenty of shops and pubs to keep you entertained - we were there when the Accordian and Fiddle festival was on so pubs were busy with people from far and wide - campsite wasn't too busy though :)
One small niggle (but nothing major) is that the site is close to the main road so you can hear traffic quite a lot - nothing bad but it's there.
Not sure if there were many extra facilities for vans - noticed the electric hook ups but no waste disposal etc - may have been there hidden away of course.
Would recommend this site to anyone.

Couldnt find any fault with this superb site. Idyllic location, spotlessly clean toilet/shower facilities and excellent pitches. At £8 per night for 2 adults, motorhome and hook up this has to be bargain of the year. 15 minute downhill stroll to centre of Portree, uphill all the way back but a cab (they were plentiful) was around £4. Portree is a delightful little place with lots of eating and drinking options, with the campsite a haven of peace and quiet nearby. A gem. We will return.
