We have just came back from a 6 night stay as a family of 4. The campsite is just perfect and the views are incredible! The staff are as wonderful as the stunning views.

So friendly and helpful and fab with children just letting children be children. It has been by far the best family camping trip we have had and we have camped for years.

The site offers everything you need from firepits, wood, icecreams to bbq starter packs, bbq meat packs and all essentials like eggs ect. Laid back old school camp site with all modern facilities and absolutely spotless through out.

Won't risk staying anywhere else round here we've found a gem!

Lovely site with friendly, hard working and helpful staff.

Facilities are modern and spotlessly clean.

Views from the ledge pitches are spectacular,

Site is well kept and peaceful with some really great local walks.

Lovely campsite with all the facilities you need. Beautifully set in the valley surrounded by horses in the fields around you. Which kept our dog up at night as they are very mischievous.

We went early in the season, Easter weekend, so steep field was very slippy for the van, but we managed ok. Close to main road, so busy during the day, quieter at night.

Perfect location for Coed y Brenin bike centre, Snowdon or other local walks.

Would definitely return.

Lovely rural campsite - quite busy but nice and quiet.

Good clean facilities - plenty showers. Good walking.

30 minute walk to town mostly along busy roadside.

Don't go on a Wednesday - problems finding anywhere to eat!

Great site with good facilities, including fridges and a freezer.

A difficult walk into town, but you can use local buses (that stop at the end of lane) to get into the pubs if you don’t want to drive.

One negative the recycling seems very poor, most sites seem to manage.

Good 4g coverage.

Would highly recommend the Precipice Walk, which can be done straight from the site.

In a beautiful setting with walks and cycle rides near by.

Dolgellau is a pretty village with shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants.

Campsite is simple with basic facilities. It did become a bit of a mud-bath in the rain! Friendly staff.

We have visited the site several times over the last 10 years and now find the site a little tired, particularly as it isn't a 'budget' site. It is usually very busy at weekends with groups of people so if you are looking for a quiet site this is not for you.

The facilities are very limited in number so when the site is busy with campers then they are inadequate.

My main annoyance is that we were charged an extra £2. 50 a night as we had a dog but nothing on the site is provided for dogs, no poo bins nor dog walk. Why charge extra for dogs when they cost the site nothing.

We were left with the feeling that money was far more important than providing a nice campsite. It is unlikely that any of our group will come here again.

Family visit in May half term - 2 adults, 2 children (8 and 6).

This site is in a nice location, lovely welcome etc. However we had the misfortune of visiting on May bank holiday weekend.

The site was absolutely rammed and unfortunately the facilities couldn't cope with the volume of campers. There were regular blockages in the toilet which was a problem.

Unfortunately the grass was really long (hadn't been cut for some time) and as it was wet, meant that our children had soaking wet feet for pretty much the whole visit.

Once the bank holiday had passed, it was much quieter and a totally different experience. The kids had space to play, there was much less noise and no problems with the facilities.

So unfortunately my rating reflects both a poor and nice experience. My tip would be to avoid at peak periods because the campsite can't cope but if you go away from major holiday weekends, you'll have a really nice visit.

You do also get some road noise from the A470 and whilst it isn't loud, if you are looking for a quiet Snowdonia retreat, then this isn't it.

In short - I'd go back at a quiet time but can't recommend during peak periods.
