 Stayed here for 4 nights.

Found the site to be good value for money with plenty of room for the children to run around. This site has great views and good facilities and is close to local amenities.

Stayed during the week and found the site to be very peaceful and not too busy but then it was term time so maybe that helped.

Staff always friendly and willing to lend a hand.

Would recommend to fellow campers and may return at some point in the future.

Good location with well drained fields. Big group of noisy 20 - 25 year old couples making a huge din on first night. They were ok second night though.

Thought shower blocks and toilets were of a poorly maintained standard. No soap to wash hands and a mop bucket of dirty water left out asking you to wash floor after a shower REALLY.

Lastly the pub is way more than a mile away. The site owner was very helpful printing a walking map to be fair.

Pitched the tent here for one night in mid-July.

Nicely laid out site. Tents requiring power will generally be located closer to the caravan pitches. Other tents pitch in the adjoining field which is maybe not as level as it could be. There was a second field given over to tents. This was a terraced hill overlooking the main site. The My other concern, mainly for bikers, is the gravel tracks leading around the site, hence the main reason I chose to pitch in the lower field.

Site facilities were first class and if you wanted to buy anything, there's a garage located at the head of the road leading to the site (NB: not licensed for wines and spirits).

Although B&B customers benefited from breakfast in the adjoining farmhouse, there was no provision for any evening meals for others on the site. I think this is a missed opportunity but maybe the site management would see this differently.

Overall, a recommended site.

Spent 4 nights here, us in mother home, children and grandchildren in tents.

Close to Dolgellau which has all you would need, lots of little shops, spar and coop. Good meal to be had in royal ship.

Campsite was great, easy to find, plenty of open space for kids to play. Toilet block and showers were good, plenty of hot water, spotless at all times. Easy to book in and prompt response to any emails.

Freezers, washing machines make camping in north Wales a doddle and the campfire experience is a must for kids.

Good walks close to site if that's your thing and torrent walk is ten minutes from site. Kids spent an afternoon 'messing about in the river' and were chuffed.

Plent of things and places to visit nearby. Coed y brenen country park close by with all its attractions. Great for dogs

Our only complaint was the lack of a play area for kids under 9. Group consensus was the campsite was a 9 out of ten because of this

Stayed here for most of a week in early September. It was good: great location for hill-walking, well signposted, not at all busy, owners on site and helpful. £7 a night for one person, a tent and car, and as is apparent from the photos, you can park your car by your tent. Had no problem finding good ground for a tent and could have had an electric hookup if I'd wanted. Washing up facilities (4 sinks) and men's toilet block (2 showers, 3 (?) sinks, disabled shower and toilet, plus toilets) were clean and good for the few people there. Hot water temperature was fine. One can see a lot of thought has been put into the design of the facilities. Dolgellau close by and Little Chef within ten minutes' walk.

My only concerns are: not sure how the toilet block would cope over busy summer weekends; there is road and owl noise in the night (though ear plugs dealt with that); some areas of the site looked a bit prone to being wet; and the overflow area of the site looked a bit steep in places. But none of these were a problem for me and I'd definitely go back there. Recommended.

Easy to find, lovely location, great views but weekend spoilt by inconsiderate fellow caravanners who had party til 3.30am on the Saturday night. Site rules stated no noise after 11pm but they didn't stop the disturbance! One tent arrived about 830pm and left at 1am after being verbally abused when he asked them to keep it down.

Needed the hedge trimming back to allow better access to water. Toilet block clean and showers hot and no queue.

Visited this site several times and love it! beautiful location, usually very quiet especially during the week.

You sometimes get younger campers there because the area is good for mountain biking, and they can be a bit noisy late in the evening. Naturally.

The shower/toilet block is quite new and is excellent. The owners certainly don't pester you, and it's nice to visit a site where there isn't dozens of rules posted up everywhere.

Good value for money.

Only ten mins walk into Dolgellau, 30 mins drive into Barmouth.

We had a great long weekend at this site with some friends who had their caravan next to us. There was a problem with us having an electric hook up, however this was sorted by the time we got there.

The site is great with plenty of places to explore and not too far from the beach either. Generally the site is quite after 23. 30. We really liked the fact we could have a campfire, it was great to see fires dotted about at night.

There is some road noise but more from large vehicles rather than cars. It is well sign posted to the site. We would thoroughly recommend a trip to either Barmouth or Aberdfyi, they both have great beaches and plenty of good coffee shops.

The only thing I would recommend for the site is a couple more showers and toilets for both male and females. You did have to queue a lot at the bank holiday time unless you went before 07. 30. However on the day we left when there was less units there wasn't any queues.

I would definitively recommend this site and would go again. The owner was very friendly and if there was a problem with anything such as electric it was soon rectified.

The toilet and shower block was clean on a regular basis from 7.30 right through to 22.30.

I've just been here recently with my boyfriend on a little trip around Wales and we both decided this was our favourite out of the three campsites we stayed at that week. We were only there for one night and found it a pleasant and relaxing place to stay. We camped up on the terrace bit and as it was late September we were the only ones in that section, which was nice. A quiet, level pitch.

Beautiful views, especially from up on the terrace! It's in a lovely area, close to Dolgellau - I can't say much about the local amenities as we were only there for one night and didn't explore. We were both impressed by the facilities, nice warm and clean shower/toilet block with lovely hot showers at no extra cost. At only £12 a night for both of us, we were very happy and would definitely go back to this campsite.

This was our second visit to Torrent Walk campsite and it was just as good.

We visited this time with family members who had never been camping! They loved the experience and there was plenty of room for 2 youngs boys to play. They have been hooked by the camping bug.

They enjoyed the campfires at night where they sampled toasted marshmallow and toast. You can purchase a kit for £4.

The showers were nice and hot and very, very clean. It was also handy to have fridge, freezer and washing machine/tumble dryer at the campsite. An ideal campsite for all campers.

We will be visiting again.
