Excellent site on the edge of Uphill Village, there is a nature reserve alongside and a cycle track that takes you in the direction Burnham. Beach is approx 800 yards away and a good 30 minute walk into weston.
The facilities are spotless and cleaned regularly.
There were only 9 hardstanding pitches available at the time of our visit as the grass area opens up at Easter. The site has a nice ambience with a few people working on their boats getting them ready for the summer. They were more than willing to chat about the surroundings and the goings on in the boatyard.
Two local pubs 400 yards away, both worth a visit.
The only thing that disappointed us was the cost of the EHU. £4 pn which is a bit OTT. £28 PW is a lot of money for leccy. The cost for 1x motorhome and 2 persons was £19. 50.

Lovely surrounding area with loads of dog walks. A walk into the village surprised me as everyone I passed actually said 'good morning\afternoon'. Also lots of chatty people whilst out dog walking so all in all a nice area.
Downfall. Single person and dog not requiring hookup. Sorry, non hookup field not open yet (it does state April but obviously they wait till the kids break up for Easter) therefore cost for me £19.50 per night. I might add that in all of my years of not using hook up and regularly going on my own with the dog I have never ever ever had to pay for 2 people plus hookup!
Obviously the facilities in the non hookup field were also closed meaning only 1 toilet per gender and one shared but they were spotlessly clean.

What a beautiful place to stay. Facilities clean. Lovely pitch, quiet, views fantastic. Plenty of walking for the dog, two pubs within 5 min walk, close to supermarkets and retail park. Local people very friendly especially Ray she offered great advice to us thank you Ray! Had a fab 5 nights here will definitely be coming again highly recommended, easy access to Weston by car or walking. Had a lovely welcome nothing to much trouble. Lovely tea shop on sight that provided all meals and very reasonable. A little gold mine I found here.

We stopped off on the way to Cornwall after using ukcampsite search on the M5 and are we glad we did! Stayed two nights but could have gone longer. Manager was really accommodating ' just find a pitch you like and we will come round in the morning for payment'. The marina showers are available for use and campers have their own toilet block too. Always clean and available.
Fantastic surroundings, next to the estuary and overlooked by a church on a clifftop whilst every pitch gets a grandstand view of the sailing lake used by the local Sea Cadets.
Wind sports beach on the walk into Weston was fascinating (kite surfing, sand buggies etc) and Weston was 200% better than we anticipated.
The dog was walked off its legs, we enjoyed the perfect start to our hols and we will definitely use again.

I found this site after looking for some where close to Weston and glad I did find it. It is a wonderful little get-away tucked at the end of Uphill beach.
All the pitches are surrounding the lake and have electric hook up, but be aware that some of the hook ups were spaced a long way from the sockets, so an extension lead would be useful to have on this site.
It is very quiet and peaceful except for the odd radio being used by the guys in the boatyard when we were there, but that is no hassle.
Short walk to the pubs and the one we used - the Dolphin, was very busy with locals (which is nice to see). Very friendly and the food is great value for money. The fish & chips on a Friday was massive!
Nice walk along the beach to Weston Super Mare which takes about 30 - 45 minutes, depending on how many paddles you have in the sea. The beach at uphill is dog friendly so will be back with the 2 'muts' next time.
All in all a very good site and I would definitely recommend it. We will be going back very shortly.

Love this site, it's position is perfect, right by the beach. Everyone parks round a lake. Good hook ups all included. New showers just added. Been lots of times. One downside, everybody is hearing how good it is, hopefully the owners can keep it just has it is. Not the best site for little ones due to open lake. But for us slightly older couples whose little ones have sodded off that's a plus, lol,

We have been to this lovely little site many times and it gets better with every visit. The owners have put a lot of time and money into improvements, electric hook ups, lovely new showers, toilet block and I believe dish washing area shortly.
Lovely next to the lake.
Nice to be so close to the beach at Weston super mare, probably only about 35 min walk into Weston itself.
2 nice pubs a few minutes walk from the site.
Please try the little Wharfside cafe on the site, the breakfasts are excellent value.
Lovely walks for your doggies.
All in all we cant wait to visit again, we love it!

We stayed here as a last moment booking, staying Saturday & Sunday night. As we arrived after 1pm on Saturday, we didn't see any staff, but found all we needed with no problem. A great site, slightly different from normal as it has a working boat yard there, which was nice. Due to the bad wet weather pitches around lake were not usable, but hard standing pitches were ideal for us. Toilet and shower were very clean, with loads of really hot water. Electric hook ups were very handy to all pitches, also plenty of water taps around. All in all a great site, very close to beach, shop and a pub, also great walks for us and our dog. We will be going back for sure.

Was looking for a camp site close to Weston Hospital as Son was having an operation and we were only given an estimate to when he could come out. We live in south west Cornwall so thought rather than drive up and down the M5 we would stay close by. Did a google map search and came across Uphill. Looked promising but information stated that it MAY have pitches available during November (This was due to the fact that the ITV drama Broadchurch was due to be filmed at the boat yard and the owners were not sure if campers could be accepted)
As I had google mapped the location and did the 'walking man' I had a feel for the immediate area and the fact that buses use the same road that we used and that cars parked on one side of the road meant that passing in places could be tricky.
On arrival we were shown a hardstanding pitch very close to the entrance but overlooking the lake. It was very flat and we were able to get pretty level without ramps. Hook up was right next to us, so no need for a long lead. There were some other hardstanding pitches located around the lake but the gentleman explained that the film crew were going to be using that area so wanted to make sure we were tucked out of the way. (Further clarification to the fact that initially not sure if they could accommodate us)
They were updating the facilities so we were given a pass code to use the bathroom/wc located between the office and shop. This room was lovely and warm with a large bath with shower over, toilet and sink. Lovely hot water and towel provided to dry hands. It was also free.
We used our onboard facilities for washing dishes so can't comment on what was provided at the site.
Electric hook up price was included in the pitch price.
We were two adults camping but had we had young children with us, we would have had to be fairly vigilant as the lake is not fenced and boats were stationed close to where we were. We also did not see any play equipment, so I would say that this site is perfectly set up for adults.
We walked to the beach one day, and to get from the site to the pier took us about 25 minutes. Just outside the entrance (on main road) was a bus stop, but we walked up the road a little and around the corner as this was suggested to give us a larger selection of bus destinations. However, if you just want to go into Weston Super Mare I would guess that the stop two minutes from the site would suffice as the bus service we had used the day before passed us when we were out on a walk.
It was a level ten minute walk to Weston Hospital which was ideal the purpose of our stay and we passed two pubs on route. Sorry can't remember the name of them, but one did not serve evening meals. However, we did use the cafe you pass to get to the site entrance. Serves a variety of food and we tried their breakfast which was delicious and very good value for money.
Lovely bracing walks on the hill behind the site, and we walked up the old 'tower' which gave some amazing views of the whole of the area down towards Devon, across to Somerset and even Wales. Very helpfully the tower had little drawings that explained the view you were looking at. We also walked around the old church (with part of its missing roof) but were not able to go in as it was closed at the time. We waited until sun set and took some lovely pictures overlooking Uphill site with our motorhome in shot.
The only negative I would add and its really not a fault of the site is where we were parked. On the other side of the hedge, is a designated cycle track/dog walk with access via a wooden swing gate. It got a bit annoying hearing the 'clang' of the wooden gate against the post each time someone walked through with their dog/bike etc.
We would have no hesitation in going back to Uphill site again. It was amusing to come back from a shopping trip to find our motorhome surrounded by actors/film equipment/feed station and security personnel who had turned up in our absence. Despite the changeable weather (snow/rain/frost, winds)we did have a day when it was just glorious and we took some stunningly beautiful pictures of our motorhome with blue sky and former lime quarry in the background (reputedly mammoth remains were discovered and subsequently burried years ago) that when friends saw them they just could not believe that our images were of a site in England. It is just so beautiful.

Village was lovely shop not far from dolphin pub, site was lovely, loos a bit small but clean could do with a larger sink for washing up and washing out undies,
Showers were basic but clean only three showers available though but, take my advice make sure you have 20p for hot water in shower rooms or use shower next to office.
Wifi would have been nice as mobile phone signals not great due to location next to cliff.
Also sons would have liked to have hired a boat to row around lake, didn't know if this was available.
Will be returning next year for sure as was a lovely holiday.
The food in the cafe was very nice and quite reasonable but the shop was very limited on items it sold. But village shop was not far.
Over all would recommend this camp site.
