What a find! Their website does not do them justice. As a liveaboard boater it was lovely to come to this little marina and hear the ropes and bells in the wind as we drifted off to sleep. Uphill is a beautiful village right next to Weston - can't believe I never knew about it! Definitely not your 'seaside' town, completely unspoilt with good pubs and locals. Not a plastic windmill in sight!
The campsite around the lake was so beautiful. Watched the sunset looking towards the coast, and fireworks were going on to the left somewhere, just magical.
A small site - was difficult to communicate with them by phone but I think they focus more on the boaters to be honest.
Facilities fine - very clean.
The 'cafe' is also completely undersold. Very nicely done out, driftwood beach style rather than a greasy spoon. Excellent poached eggs and cooked breakfast - the cakes looked incredible too although I didn't sample them. Was baffled why it took so long to actually get our food, but we weren't in a rush. Would be lovely if they had a singer in there I imagine.

We were doubtful about booking this camp site as it shares its location with a boat yard however our fears were unfounded. This is a very peaceful site with clean, modern, well maintained facilities and professional staff. There is plenty to see and do just withing a short walk, including a walk through the neighbouring nature reserve or a climb up the cliff to the view point next to the church.
There are plenty of showers on site and also washing up facilities and two places that have drinking water and waste disposal. The pitches are arranged around a small lake and next to a tidal pontoon for boats. At night there are the noises of nocturnal birds and wildlife from the marshes. It really is very relaxing. Note: The lake has no barrier so unsupervised children might be at risk of falling in.
Staff are only on site until 5. 00 pm so arrival after that is by arrangement. There is a tent field with no hookups and a touring field which is fully serviced. A cafe at the end of the road serves light snacks, there are two pubs within 5 minutes walk and a local shop about 10 minutes walk away.
Western Super-Mare can be accessed on foot as long as you don't mind a 2 mile (or more) walk down the beach. We went out to the only Italian restaurant in town which was almost 2. 5 miles walk so we were hungry (and hot - it was 30 degs) when we arrived (it is excellent, however). The town itself suffers from being a bit dirty and full of holiday makers that want cheap fish and chips.
One small minus is that the flight path for Bristol Airport appears to be overhead. There is no play area for children and younger children will need to be closely supervised at all times as there is open water.
We wished we had spent more time here and we definitely recommend it.

Visited here over the bank holiday weekend for the first time, but definitely not the last. The site is absolutely beautiful with its small lake/pond. Each pitch was marked out clearly and we were advised that we could choose our own pitch. Dogs are allowed on site on leads (which is understandable), but also immediately adjacent to the site entrance there is a nature trail walk, where you can walk for miles!
Weston Super Mare is a walk across a sandy beach until you reach the promenade, and the village has 2 pubs, an Italian Restaurant and a small shop.
My only negative comment was that there was a 'drains' smell near/in the toilets/showers so perhaps the drains need an upgrade?
There is a ladies toilet with a shower in it, and there is a male toilets on the opposite side. Between these there were 2 unisex shower blocks. Perhaps one could be made specifically female and one male?
Overall we had a lovely stay and the next time we want to visit Weston Super Mare we will definitely be trying to stay there.

The siting of this site is what made it for us, we booked for 2 nights and stayed for 4, the first time ever that has happened.
Toilets and showers were always warm and clean and no annoying push buttons, sadly the pressure is quite low.
The beach really is only 5 minutes away there are 2 pubs and a shop just up the road and the café at the entrance to the site is very good. Both pubs and the café are dog friendly as is the beach.
The long distance Mendip trail passes the entrance of the site and the opportunities for walking seem endless especially for dog owners.

This is a very clean, well kept and quiet little site set around a marine lake with lovely views to wake up to. Some may consider it expensive for the site amenities offered but it does make for a peaceful holiday in a great location. Part is in the working boatyard but over several stays we have found very little in the way of noise, even midweek.
Within five minutes walk of the entrance is the beach, a cafe, two pubs and access to walks around the estuary nature reserve and Uphill hill, all of which are 'dog friendly', there is also a village shop and Italian restaurant. The cafe sells lovely food, as does The Dolphin pub but our favourite is The Ship Inn with its warm welcome, very reasonably priced and nicely cooked food (great brunch for £3. 75!), Guest Beers and free WiFi.
If using Sat Nav, the post code destination will take you to a short roadway entrance - turn sharp left off Uphill Way, through the gate at the end into The Boat Centre yard, which is also the entrance of the site.
The first few pitches on the left, facing the lake, are on the hardstanding of the boatyard itself and I consider are more suited to a motorhome or a caravan without an awning as they are very close together. Other pitches further on around the lake will fit car + caravan + awning and as they are set in a single row look out across the water, a few are hardstanding but most are grass. Electric hook up is available for all pitches around the lake but a long lead is needed for some. NON- electric pitches are in an adjacent field.
At the office/reception building there is 1 WC with a shower cubicle for women and the same for men, with two more individual unisex showers/washrooms. Each are opened using a code. Further on around the lake is a porta-cabin (bit dated) which has 3 WC's and 3 small wash hand basins for ladies, and separate additional toilet facilities for men.
Around the porta-cabin area is a fresh water tap, outdoor dish-washing sinks, dustbins, waste water grids and an Elsan point.
Because of the danger of open water this site could be unsuitable for young children. There is no WiFi connection.

Nice site. Beach just down road w-s-m 1 mile. Beach walk. Entrance to site very scruffy but don't let that put anyone off. 2nd toilet block useable but not great. Quite site. Cafe at entry to site. Shower and toilets at top end of site. Very good location of site. Good if touring the area. Never saw owners all week. The pitches are around a very deep lake. I think this site may be unsuitable for young children

If you're after a quiet campsite with clean toilets, showers and great views this campsite is for you. The beach is only a short walk away and with a couple of pubs, a shop and cafe right on your doorstep you couldn't ask for anything else. This doesn't have all the commercial facilities that the large sites have but if you fancy some proper camping your can't go far wrong with this campsite.

Friendly staff. Toilets very clean. Brilliant location. Lots of different walks. The beach is dog friendly, and it's a lovely walk into Weston supper mare down the beach.
The pitches on the front next to the lake are a little to close together. But all in all one of our favourites.
We will be returning, The Dolphin pub in th village serves really good food. And is also very dog friendly.

Very clean toilets and showers and a lovely view. The downsides to staying at uphill boat club are no washing machines, no signal for phone or wifi, no shop so go there fully stocked up. The dolphin pub is very over priced and the staff are ignorant. There is a pub further along to road which is very friendly and claims to be the oldest pub in the village which is funny as there are only 2 pubs

Stayed on this campsite for two nights. It is advertised as Uphill Marine Centre but its sign=posted Uphill Boat Centre which was a bit confusing when looking for it in the dark. Woke up to a lovely view of the lake with ducks swimming up to us to say hello. There is a beautiful Nature Reserve with a lovely walk for dogs right by the site. Very close to the beach and town of Weston-Super-Mare. Toilets and Shower was very clean and there is a cafe just outside the site. Really enjoyable stay. Only down side for me was that the pitches are quite close together and cars coming in and out through the night with people talking outside. I thought it was a bit expensive for the time of year.
