A super little site. New owners are friendly and really committed to making this site special.
They have added some more hard standings with the plots curving around the salt water lake, very picturesque with the cliff above.
Managed to get booked at the last minute due to a cancellation. Site was full but not congested and no queues for the simple, but clean, facilities.
A few minutes from the beach, a good walk/cycle to Brean Down, with a cafe at the entrance to the boat yard for a very tasty breakfast.
Will be back without a doubt

Quiet and restful site in the evenings.
New owners Robin and Katie very friendly and very helpful with good plans and ideas for site improvement.
Nice site by the side of the small lake.
Good location for walking with paths up to local attractions and to the local beaches. Good site if you are dog owners.
Uphill Wharf Cafe is just outside the site where the food is very good.

Visited this fabulous little campsite on the day the new owners had just taken it over. Lovely young couple with two small children who were very friendly and hospitable. They were telling us what they wanted to do to improve the site (more hard standing pitches and WiFi).
We had a hard standing level pitch with fabulous views of the small saltwater lake and the surrounding area.
Toilet block adjacent our van. Showers were near the office but we never used them.
Very quiet site with lots of wildlife, we saw a Kingfisher on three separate occasions.
Walk to the beach with the dog was about 5 minutes. Two local pubs within a 5 minute walk.
We tried the Ship Inn, staff were very welcoming and food was good. Great footpaths to local nature reserves straight from the campsite.
Lots to do around - (Weston Super Mare is a lovely old seaside town being redeveloped) National Trust places not far away.
Will definitely be visiting again to see what improvements the new owners have made.

Loved the location of this camp site, Once you get past the slightly unusual entrance through the boat yard
the lake side setting is idyllic and being just 5mins walk from the beach, which is dog friendly all year round with footpaths accessed directly from the campsite it is perfect for dog owners.
It is a small and quiet site with basic toilet/shower facilities but I had a hardstanding pitch with electric hookup which is all I really need.
Bonus having the cafe on site too. Bit weird seeing all the jellyfish in the lake!
I will definitely be returning but don't wanna brag too much as don't want it to get too busy!

Have just returned from 2 glorious sunny days at Uphill camp site.
Have not been for many years but as the weather was so nice stopped off on the way back from wedding in Devon.
We were told that the camping field didn't open until June and that the main area around the lake was kept for vans.
The price difference is minimal so feel that there is some campism going on. As we only wanted 2 days we were allowed to pitch our tent but another group had been declined when they had tried to book. A loss to the camping community.

Great location to relax only 45 minute walk into Weston along flat beach, golf course on the doorstep, 2 pubs within 5 mins walk both serving the usual options on the menu, average prices for a main were £9-£15.
Our experience with Sue was fine she was very helpful and really kept in the background. 16 amp hookup,
Relatively flat all weather pitches (only ones open at this time of the year) good freeview signal, terrible EE signal limited toilet and shower facilities, 1 shower in each of the main toilet block for both men or women + 2 unisex shower rooms. Surprisingly no issue during our stay and the 11 pitches open were full for the length of our stay, small toilet facility near to the first 11 pitches which is where you will find the water and elsan as well.
Cafe on entrance to site seems very popular with passing walkers/cyclists using the Mendip Way which is adjacent to the site. All the main supermarkets to be found on the A370 10 min drive away, small village shop behind the Dolphin pub offering essential provisions.
The pitches that were open are around a small very deep seawater pond, great to look at but potentially dangerous for small children. Would we come back YES is it for little ones NO

Great stay at Uphill Marine Centre. You have everything you need. Sue at the site was extremely helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.
Lots of great dog walks and the beautiful Uphill beach is only minutes away. The cafe and two pubs in the village provided plenty of good food and drink. The site is so beautiful and peaceful.
The only problem is that you don’t want to go home! We will be back again as soon as we can.

I phoned to check for availability for a one night stop. The woman I spoke with was quite officious - not really very pleasant.
£24 for a motorhome per night with EHU.
The site is a grass field with a pond in the middle.
There is a toilet and showers at the office block and a toilet and washing up at the other end of the circular site.
There is nothing else at all.
No shop, BBQ's are banned, phone signal is terrible, WIFI - not a chance!
Considering the facilities and services other campsites offer for this price point, Uphill doesn't compare favourably.
If you are stuck and in need for somewhere last minute, use these, otherwise move on.

First time stay for us on this lovely little site but it definitely won't be the last! We loved it.
Booked over the phone and were advised about restricted office opening times. En route we were called by the site to say the office would be closed on our arrival and we were given our pitch number and code for the toilets/showers.
On arrival you drive through the boat yard to the campsite. First section is hard standings (of which we had pitch 1 - you have to drive side on to this particular pitch which means you get views from each window, but you also get battered from the wind coming off the sea!).
They seem to have around 7/8 hard standings and then the rest is grass. All pitches are around the lake and have the most stunning views of St Nicholas church on the hill and the surrounding nature reserve. I cannot explain in words how beautiful it is.
There are two facilities blocks but due to it being December only one was open. Not a problem at all as the site wasn't full. Entry by key code. Again not many toilets/showers but what was there was spotlessly clean every day.
There's a café right outside the site that was open everyday, although we didn't use it this time. There is also a bus stop outside the site but the walk into Weston-Super-Mare is easy, flat and along the beach. We mooched and it took about 30/40 minutes. Lots to see and do in Weston. There is also a local pub not far from the campsite but again we didn't use it on this occasion.
We have already recommended this site to lots of friends and cannot wait to go back again now we discovered this little gem.
