Great little site, just what we needed.
8 metre motor home no problem to manoeuvre and park.
Walks just outside entrance to field's, and as said, five minutes
Out the entrance and your on the beach.
Two pubs a couple of minutes walk away, a convenience store around the corner, and a cafe also just outside the gate.
No noise from the boatyard, but quite a busy footpath alongside the campsite, and if like us you have dogs, they can be bothered by the comings and going's.
Toilets and showers were spotless, and although not numerous, never had to wait to use as only a small site anyway.
We were lucky when we got there as pitch 2 was empty and we pulled right up at the water tap to fill up. If a unit had been there we would have needed a long hose. There is a second tap by the toilets/rubbish bins/ elsan point, but again I think a longer hose than we had would be needed.
Would definitely recommend this site, but small children would have to be watched as you are right by the side of a lake.

What a delightful site. We took our small campervan there for a night and were so impressed. Things that many sites get wrong - simple stuff - they got right. For example, the sparkling clean shower curtains keep water from clothes which have lots of hooks to hang them on; the shower was hot and plentiful - one of the ladies' is next to the office and in a proper bathroom! Water, washing up, recycling and rubbish are all very tidy and clean. Spaces were sufficient and marked by flower pots, and the flat surface was all hard standing but looked out onto the lake and hillside. Booking was done by phone and paid for in advance but we were pleased to meet the hard-working and friendly Ron. The site cannot be faulted.
The location is delightful - a quiet spot with superb location of interest, not far from Weston Super Mare with lots of walks and good cycling (route 33) from the site. Loved it here and will return.

Very enjoyable stay, facilities very good, close to Weston, good pubs nearby. We were sited overlooking the lake it is a quiet site although it was November. There are walks nearby and a cycle route. Will certainly return. Would certainly recommend it, also the carnival that is held in Weston is well worth seeing.

Had a 3 night stay in our Motorhome, Hardstanding pitch with EHU, between the lake and the creek. Lovely site, clean facilities, a little noise throughout the day, but as stated it's a working boatyard so was expecting noise. That said, it didn't detract from a lovely stay. A 5 minute stroll to the beach and a 30 minute walk into Weston. Lovely walks across the marshes and up to the church on the hill. Brilliant views. 2 pubs and an Italian restaurant in the village. The Food in the Ship is outstanding. Handy well stocked village shop, and a cafe just outside the boat yard. Would most certainly recommend.

Great little site, very clean and tidy with two brilliant pubs within walking distance of the site, the food was great in both. 30 minutes walk along the beach to Weston Super Mare. There is a cafe just outside the entrance but we did'nt need to use it, a nice base to go walking or cycling from, we would recommend a visit.

This is a very well kept, tidy and interesting site. There are showers and toilets, which are spotless, next to reception and more toilets at the far end of the site in a temporary building together with pot wash facilities. These were very handy and also clean and tidy although the outside pot wash could be cleaner. The motorhome point was well thought out. There are cafes on site and a small shop but we didn, t use these so cannot comment.
The sites are arranged around a lake on which the sea cadets were practising their sailing skills and cormorants basking on the jetty in the mornings. Our site was hardstanding, level and placed between the lake and the creek. Most sites have hookups. The beach is a 5mins stroll, nature walk from the site and restaurants and shops all within easy walking distance. Overall, a lovely quiet small site.

A nice site in a great location, the pitches are round a small lake and well spaced out. The facilities were very clean but the showers were in small cubicles.
The location is brilliant - a 30 minute walk along the beach takes you straight into Weston, the Ship pub a 5 minute walk away is very reasonable and the food was great. The café at the entrance served a lovely cooked breakfast.
The site is handy as not far off the M5 - We may return as a stopover when next heading to Kendal.

We have just returned from this lovely little site. It is in a great location in the nature reserve, not far from the joys of Weston. It is a peaceful site and this was respected by the other campers.
We pitched on number 27, non EHU, not an overly large pitch but adequate. Close to the lake and not far from the main facilities. Although fairly full we never had to queue for the toilets or showers. The water and rooms were warm and clean, nowhere to plug the hair dryer in though. The lack of hot water at the washing up sinks was a pain, you can't wash pots properly in cold water and in the cold weather it was unpleasant.
The weather was against us and this meant the access was muddy and slippy on foot and by car. Plus the hoards of little flies loved the damp weather and living in our tent! They don't bite though and quite liked the smell of citronella.
The staff were pleasant and unobtrusive. Being on the boatyard gave the place a nice feel and there are some good walks right on the doorstep. We would recommend the drive to Brean Down and the walk across the top to the old fort. Plus the drive along the coast from Weston to Kewstoke is very picturesque.

Me, my wife and our little dog rate this site as near perfect. Good location, fairly level pitches, clean toilets and showers, friendly staff, close to the beach, fantastic walks, two pubs and a shop close by. The local people are very friendly. Whilst we were there, there was one other tourer (friendly couple from Derby) four motor homes and two VW's. We shall be going back again for sure, and, a great stopover on the way to Devon/Cornwall. Both pubs serve good meals and there is also a nice cafe at the entrance to the site.

Small site in quiet, scenic setting. All good sized pitches set around the lake (no regimented rows). Easy walks from the site to beach, surrounding countryside, pubs etc. The reception building has two separate unisex showers and another shower in the ladies (I assume there was also one in the gents). There is also a portacabin with toilets, waste disposal etc on the camping field. The site was full for our stay (Easter) but all facilities were kept very clean. The only improvement I would suggest is hot water at the washing up sinks. This was not a problem for us, being in a caravan, but may be for those in tents. They could possibly also consider a recycling point. Will definitely go back.
