July 2002 The site is absolutely brilliant, this was our third year but it was blighted by the news that dogs will not be allowed as from next year. We're very sad. Hopefully a change of heart will follow and responsible owners will be allowed back even if it's to a seperate area. That aside the site is unbeatable.

july 2002 After 15 years of camping we as a family are quite fussy about our sites and pitches! This site scored full marks with everyone (the children are nagging us to book again for next year!).The entertainment is there if you want it, the indoor pool was lovely and the beach (only five mins walk through the dunes) was huge and clean. If you want to stay on site all day there's plenty to do, if not, it's well placed to get to most places.

June 2002 We stayed at St Ives Bay for the Jubilee week. The pitches are really nice - spacious and marked by small bushes. The layout of the touring pitches is excellent. We were only a few minutes walk from the beach - there are some fairly steep steps down to the actual beach. What can you say about the beach - it is one of the best I have ever seen - what seems like miles of sand for the kids to play on. The site itself is excellent. The staff couldn't be more helpful and everything is kept really clean. The bar areas are a bit rowdy but that may be because children are welcome and mine as as noisy as anyone else's so it was fine. It is truly a family holiday environment. The site is in an excellent location for exploring all of Cornwall. My only gripe would be that some people drive much too fast round the site and the speed limit doesn't seem to be enforced by the security staff. There are a lot of small children milling around and I think they should pay more attention to this.

I have just spent a truly excellent week in St Ives bay and i have to say i am feeling quite sad at the moment because i cannot just walk up the road to the sea as i have been doing every day. I have found that this place has that effect upon you, even in the rain, the sea coaxes people down onto the beach to admire the wild Atlantic surf and the dramatic skylines. the strap and godrevy rocks offer up some excellent rock pools for the kids both little and large to go exploring for crabs and fish and it have you ever seen the look of wonder on a little face when you get them to have a closer look at the rich diversity of the pool life in these parts....Magical! We stayed in a chalet which housed 7 and we found it clean, spaceious and very welcoming - our own little home from home! This is a site that offers something for everyone of all ages and tastes you can choose to swim in the sea of swim in the indoor heated pool, The dynamite club and sandhopper bars take care of the evening entertainment and there's a disco for the children too. All the facilities are evenly spaced and nothing is too far to reach quickly, despite the size of the site. The loggans is in an ideal spot for travelling to places of local interest in any direction as it is situated just off the A30. This made it very easy to visit a different place every day. hand on Heart, i can honestly say that we liked this place and we left feeling fully charged at the end of the week but it does make you feel hungry for more so we will be back again next year!

The site is fabulous, possibly the best British site I have ever been on (and I say that with the background of nearly 20 years touring behind me)! Although big, the camping areas are well divided up and within 'glades' cut into sand dunes. The site has two clubs (lost the kids every evening) and an indoor swimming pool (lost the kids all day! - not really), and is virtually on the best beach I have been on for years.
The area is great with all attractions local and only a maximum of 45 minutes drive to the furthest (the Lizard). A small butchers shop in Hayle makes the best pasties I have found to crown it all!
