Hi. We stayed on pitch 501 which had amazing views over the bay. The site is terraced and well drained being in the sand dunes. Beach is only a short walk but it is a steep climb back up the dunes from the beach. The nightly entertainment was ideal. The young ones had a separate show just off the main room, toilets was clean and the showers where good. There is a supermarket just off site but we found the site shop adequate for our provisions. There is 24 hour security patrolling the site. Ten minutes ride away there is the train station where you can catch the train to St Ives. Going back this year same pitch. Ps can get a bit breezy

We have just returned from a week at this site (last week of the summer hols). I have to say the facilities are excellent although this site was really messy, litter was in the hedge rows and around the toilet blocks, no one bothered even the cleaners didn't pick it up. The sanitary units in the loos were overflowing and smeered! I know this isn't the campsite fault its the campers that leave it in this state, but this is a huge site and they should be on top on these problems. When you arrive you have to find your own pitch and after our long drive this was the last thing we wanted, but it turned out to be a godsend as we first pitched next to two families and they were the noisiest on the whole site, up at 7 shouting and laughing, and the parents who seemed well educated never asked them to consider others. (You know who you are if your reading this). Anyway this wasn't a problem we just started up the camper van and found a quiet spot over the other side. Then the caravan behind us didn't use a waste water carrier, so the sink water went straight on to the grass behind our van. They threw all their rubbish out of the kitchen window (including dirty nappies) intending to collect it later but that obviously that got blown all over the place. We reckon the toilet would have ended up in the brush too had it not been for us sitting outside our van at midnight having a quiet drink when they came out to empty it. I don't know if this is what camping is turning into, but campsites need to be looking out for this sort of thing to maintain high standards. There is a launderette but it's a long way from the touring site. It costs £3 for a wash and that automatically despenses washing powder and conditioner. Driers are 20p for 4 minutes but choose carefully because some of the driers dont warm up. We didn't eat here but our children loved the park/arcade next to the club. We just happened to be watching our 8 year old on the park and heard a comedian on stage he was brillant and the kids and adults enjoyed him alike. Micky John Bull was his name and we sang super rooster all the way home. So the last night we decided to make a night of it at the club (not our sort of thing, normally) they were magicians and they were briliant, so I can safely say the entertainment was excellent. The showers are HOT with push button controls and some small children were literally screaming, not nice. The showers were usually full of sand (being so close to the beech and sand dunes) but there was no mob to mob them out. I took my bath mat. One thing I must comment on was the security our 8 year old just disappeared on a trip to the toilet with her friend, we found the friend but not our girl we searched everywhere went to security and they were straight on the radio and they were very efficient and in control, yes we found her wondering around having gone for a 'little walk'. Scared us to death. Overall we probably wouldn't stay here again, as there are better sites in the area.

Stayed here 2006 & 2005 and have to say one of the best family sites I have stayed on. The site is a mixture of chalet's, statics, tents, and caravans spread over several fields. The pitches we have stayed on were quite large fitting the van, awning, car & 3m x 3m gazebo on but rock pegs were required, the pitch was level although not seeing every pitch I and can't say they all are. For the kids there is a large free indoor pool, 2 play grounds, free crazy golf, free putting green, 2 large arcade's and children's evening work shop / disco most nights at the club house, In the conservatory there is giant connect 4 and tic, tac, toe,and other table based games all free. Hot meals can be bought here at a reasonable price there is also a adult only bar. The showers and toilet blocks are no better or worse than any other large site, they are cleaned twice a day and can get busy at peak times but they can get dirty, but that is down to the weather and people using them. They have a large holding field if you get there early and a camp shop (very expensive) and a gas exchange But best of all is the beach, A vast expanse of clean golden sand with lifeguards the sea is just wavy enough to keep the kids happy with their belly boards and their is loads of space for football & cricket Nearest supermarket Lidl 3/4 mile away with loads and loads of things to do if the weather is wet (details in reception). The only down side for me (and that is only because I don't like that sort of thing) was the club house which was packed for Bingo at 7 pm every night. Overall this is a great site for families who like to have a laugh, It is not a site for older couples who are after a quiet relaxing holiday

A really great site, an ideal location for exploring Cornwall. The toilet block was cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day. The site has a well stocked shop with very reasonable prices. The pool, entertainment and the huge cafe area which overlooks the sites own private beach is excellent. The site has its own surf school which you can learn to surf for only £20 which included hire of board, tuition and hire of a wet suit for a 2 and a half hour lesson. There are two big supermarkets which are only a 5min drive away. We had a great time even though we had rain nearly everyday of our holiday in August. The management of the staff were also happy to answer any questions and even put up signs around the site advising us of the severe weather warnings and tips to help us through the bad weather. They even apologised for the bad weather! A great site, the beach is wonderful!

The booking in system at this site is PERFECT! You do not even have to get out of your car! They meet you with all the details and directions to your pitch! We had a super pitch which is located close to the shower facilities. The site is very large but for the first week it seemed empty. The entertainment was great with a separate disco for the children. The children's parks are good especially the one located near to the beach. There is a lovely pub with outside decking area looking over the play area with BEAUTIFUL sea views and sunsets. The indoor pool was very warm and the children loved it, although, I do think the changing facilities need to be improved - and the viewing area needs to be cleaned. The only other negative point would be that when you come out of the pool it is nice to have a cold glass of beer / wine - unfortunately the bar didn't open till 7-00pm (for the first week then it was 5.00pm) Nearby there isn't much to do within walking distance, only pub is a Brewsters pub located right near the A30 (next to Mac-Donalds and retail shops) Apart from a few minor points the site is lovely and we will be returning.

Good sized pitch, cheerful and friendly staff Toilet block clean, bit of a hike from the beach but the quality and the views make it well worthwhile. Indoor pool a bonus. Arrived at 8 in the morning and staff could not have been more helpful we were actually on a pitch before 8.45! Friends had booked a static which was grotty to say the least(apparently they are getting rid of the "old" ones this year) But after making a complaint due to a flood they were rehoused in a New caravan and the staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was ok. They even woke up to a man cleaning the windows ! Overall I can't fault the site ***

We've just spent 2 weeks here and we had a fantastic time. The site is very clean and always tidy. Didn't use the toilet block much but spotless when we did. Stayed on a fully serviced pitch, which was very generous in size - caravan, full awning, car, & still room for our 3 year old to play. Shop was always fully stocked, and the family bar had some great entertainment. Indoor pool heated to nearly bath temp! 24 hr security on site - always welcome. If we have one negative point, it would be the speed of some drivers on site ( more often than not though this was site employees ! ) Possibly more speed humpos reqd. The site gave us an excellent base to explore most of cornwall, and we will definitely be returning for our main holiday in 2008 - the first time we have ever returned to the same site twice.

Stayed in one of the Parks Static Tents. CABANON 6 Berth (3 Bedrooms) Electric lights, Fridge, T.V. beds, (had to take own bedding or sleeping bags). Patio Table and 6 chairs, Gas Cooking on 2 burners and grill. All cooking pots and pans and dishes. All included in Rental Price. There were 10 of these static tents in one section near shower and toilet block - always clean. This site was very well kept, staff very helpful, security patrolled the site every evening. Beside the static caravans - the touring tents, caravans and motorhomes spread out in small clusters between the dunes and all near shower and toilet blocks. Indoor heated swimming pool, shop, food outlet and bars one No Children.

I'm at a loss. I can't believe I stayed at the same site! We thought it was awful. The pitches were tiny, our pitch was fortunately tucked away in a corner, the only others available being next to the overflowing bins and toilet block. We arrived at the stated time, seemingly no one else did as we discovered on our departure when people were roaming about looking for pitches at 8.30am. The toilet block was filthy the whole week we were there, I wouldn't even like to say some of the items that were laying around on the shower floors for days at a time. However, the one saving grace was the beach which was fantastic. Only a short walk from the tent, we spent a good few days there. Really beautiful and great space for children to play. The shop was well stocked with most things we needed and there was a coop in Hayle that we used regularly.

We stayed here in June of Last year and are about to return this year (June again) this time with the tent. This particular site is in our view well worth a visit. It is extremely well laid out with good tarmac access roads to all areas. There is a well stocked shop right next door to the office and the staff are helpful. The maintenance guy was fantastic when it came to assistance (Broken rear light on the car !) There are two pubs on the site and a good cafeteria that provides a takeaway service also. Good clean facilities and plenty for kids including a swimming pool. There's on site security also.
