Stayed for a week in this beautiful campsite in a caravan and loved it. The pitches were extra large and the owners were as helpful as helpful can be.
The play area for kids is very big, and there was a football pitch where there was regularly a match being played. The games room had a table tennis court and a few arcade machines to play on. The television room was very helpful as you could see the weather forecast and the local news.
The facilities were extremely clean and refreshing, the cleanest facilities from a campsite I have ever been to.
Brilliant campsite, and I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance to.

Possibly the poshest campsite we have stayed at so far! The pitches are immaculate. The toilets/showers are very clean and have under floor heating. The games room/TV room were appreciated when the weather was poor. The campers kitchen was ace, fridge/freezer and microwave, everything we could have possibly needed. Add to that the friendliest wardens, this site was perfection!
We didn't have youngsters with us, but there were plenty of facilities for them too, including playground, swings and an area for really small children.
The nearest pub was about a 5 minute drive away, apparently you can use the bar at the cricket ground which is a 10 minute walk away, but we preferred to have beer/wine by the tent.
All in all, a great campsite, great location as lots to visit nearby, will definitely go back in the future!

As the weather forecast for end June / beginning July was so fantastic we decided to holiday in the UK instead of abroad. We booked 7 nights here, intending to move eastwards (i.E., a bit closer to home) for the 2nd week. However, this site was so good we couldn't find anywhere even remotely comparable so ended up staying here for 2 weeks. We think this site is excellent value for money. The first week was £100 including EHU. All the facilities are first class and all hot water on site is free.
I don't know what I can add to previous reviews except to reiterate most of them. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and helpful - especially the lovely Dilys. The site is fantastically well maintained and everything is kept immaculately clean at all times - despite being full to bursting at weekends. The underfloor heating in the showers was a great pleasure - even though the weather wasn't remotely cold. Even at weekends when the site was full we never once had to queue to shower. As the weather was so hot (30ºC for several days) we really appreciated having use of the chest freezer & fridge. The laundry was great too. You could borrow almost anything from the site - rotary dryers, windbreaks - you name it, they'd provide it! They even have WiFi. We don't have children but the play facilities looked great and were at the back of the main site - well away from the actual pitching areas so the kids could let off as much steam as they liked without bothering people. The site has a 'no noise after 10 pm' policy which was strictly enforced. We didn't use the shop as a huge Tesco was just a 3 minute drive away.
The site is divided in 2 by a minor road (only leads to a farm). The adults only part is on the other side of the road to the main site & doesn't have its own shower or toilet block. During the week the main site is OK but, at the weekends, it resembles a refugee camp, with what seem like hundreds of screaming children racing around on their bikes & scooters. Having learned of this in a review, we asked to be in the adults only field and, oh boy, were we grateful! Yes, it only has a portaloo but this was more than adequate for immediate necessities. It was far better than being in the main area as it was always quiet. The weather was fantastic so it was a very pleasant stroll to the washing up / laundry / showers. Had the weather been wet & windy we may not have been so enamoured of the distance (several hundred metres). The pitches in the adults only area were also much larger than those in the main area.
Reception had local maps to buy & lots of tourist information covering both Kent & East Sussex. The day we arrived the owners were celebrating the site's 40th anniversary. When we booked in we were invited to the party. Free food & drink - just had to bring our own plates, cutlery, glasses & chairs. They even catered for veggies. How good is that?
We only have one criticism to make of this site and it's noise. We had it from both the nearby A road & the trains (it's near Ashford Intl Station). Although not light sleepers, we found it intrusive at night & early in the morning. It was the only thing that.Marred an otherwise perfect site. As no other reviewers have mentioned the noise, perhaps it's dependent on wind direction and we were just unlucky during the 2 weeks we were there. Perhaps the owners could consider putting in some sort of screening between the site & the A road?

This was our very first trial run in a tourer! We were blessed! This is a really clean well equipped site overall. The shower block really cannot be faulted. Wow! underfloor heating, luxury showers mmmm! The pitch was a good size, it was a little tricky getting the caravan in the as the road is only single track but it wasn't too bad, the dog walk was a reasonable size but a bit untamed! we did get to stroke the ponies each time we walked it though! A really nice touch was the entry gate system which gave a really secure feeling with the kids. The playpark was a little disappointing but they have a games room with a pool table which was popular. We had a good time and may well one day return!

We spent a Weekend at Broadhembury and have come back with a nice feeling of what a great site and a nice Weekend which was helped with good weather!
The facilities on the site were kept up to a high standard along with the general upkeep of the site. My first impression of the toilet block with showers within, was are there enough showers but I did not have to wait once and they were always hot. The Playground was a good size with a separate section for the under 7's
The reception has some stock of supplies you can purchase, but they are very open when you arrive and explain how to get to Tesco's.
Also having a Fridge and a chest Freezer in the campers kitchen made life a bit easier for our time at the site.
I would recommend the site to anyone and hope to return again, couldn't fault it.

Great site, really good shower block with underfloor heating, immaculately clean, never had to queue, plenty of hot water. Friendly and helpful staff. Handy shop on site. 2 playgrounds, one for younger children and one for slightly older and a five a side football pitch which my kids loved. Everything on the site is well maintained. Very peaceful atmosphere, had a great weekend and will definitely visit again.

This is by far the best site we have visited so far.
We came here with some friends who have the same large tent as ours an booked 3 pitches to share between us as we needed 1 1/2 pitches to stay here at an extra £5 per night.
The children's play area was great and the games room finished it of nicely. The campers kitchen was also great and plenty of room to store your chilled or frozen food, and microwaves helped out on the cooking for the 9 of us.
The pitches were a fair size and the grass was well kept very flat.
We all said we would definitely return to Broadhembury again as we had a very good time here and made to feel very welcome by all staff on site.

What a fantastic site. Just had a 3 day break and it was very enjoyable.
Was greeted by a cheery smile and manner, who explained where everything was on the park and the local facilities. She even gave us menus for a take away service for Chinese and Indian which was brilliant and used for that evening- so nice not to cook after pitching. From the time we arrived till we left the staff were very friendly and helpful and always spoke as they went past.
The site is spotless, well maintained and the facilities are just superb it was lovely having a shower with under floor heating.
The campers kitchen was ideal as we were able to put frozen food in the freezer- has 2 microwaves that was handy as someone else was using one at the same time as us.
The children had a great time at the children's play area and games room - did not want to leave. The games room had just been refurbished which looks good. The children occupied themselves so that gave us a break and we were safe as we knew they could not get out onto the road.
We went for walks with the dog - they have a dog walk- and there are plenty of walks around.
The pitches are nice size too- not crammed in like some.
Can see why they have the ratings they do and yes you've guessed it - have already booked our next two dates with them.

Stayed here end of Sep an amazingly sunny weekend. This was our first trip out with our new large tent so a bit nervous! Welcomed on arrival by a very nice lady who explained where our pitch was with a map. Not a huge site but I must say it was spotless. Got on with the task of putting up the tent and she was back shortly to check we were ok.
The toilet block was amazingly clean - I know this was our first site but I really didn't expect such high standards. The staff seemed to be cleaning the toilets every couple of hours even though the site was relatively quiet.
My two kids loved the play park and games room and certainly weren't bored even though they seemed to be the only children on site. The family bathroom was a godsend as the evenings turned very cold and to all bath/shower together in one go was brilliant.
Only criticism would be the very small shop. It was adequate for essentials but could benefit from a larger range. We had a great few days and are booking for Easter soon.

Just returned from our second visit to this site.
We previously stayed here in August in a tent.
Broadhembury is a very good site when compared to others that we have visited before.
The showers and toilets are first class and as comfortable as being at home. Probably the best we have ever encountered whilst camping.
When I rang to book, the owner took the call and she was very helpful and reserved our pitch for us. However, when we arrived and went in to pay, the lady we dealt with was less than friendly.
The indoor play room was out of action because it was being redecorated, which I thought was a bit strange that they should do this over half term holidays in October when its cold and wet.
All in all, apart from one member of staff, the site is lovely. The shop rented out DVD's which was a great for the kids and the site is incredibly quiet.
The grounds staff were hard at work and the site is well planted.
We would definitely go again.
