We stayed for a one night stopover (15m from Eurotunnel) and have to say this is a great little site.
Well run, clean facilities, good playground for kids, great TV & games room (geared up for viewing the Olympics!), small shop and helpful advice.
The only criticism was that despite us paying for two Wifi connections (£2. 50 each) only one worked and if a site is going to offer wifi then this really needs to consistently available.
Highly recommended and we'll be back next time we want a stopover en route to the Continent.

Used this site as an overnight for Eurotunnel. Really happy with the service and the pitch. The only slight downside was the lovely quiet village location made access a bit tight at times, especially as the church fete was on with parked cars on both sides. Satnav also wanted to take us up a route going up Church Hill which looked even narrower than the campsite directions.
We were given a large grassy pitch on the Meadows the adult only part of the site. If you are leaving early they will let you use two pitches and stay hitched up if it's quiet enough which it was when we stayed.
This site would be so worthwhile staying in for more than an night. If we didn't live in Ayrshire we would be regulars. Firstly, it is immaculate. Even with all the heavy rain, the grass was like bowling green and the pitch was well drained.
There were lots of little areas laid out a bit like a park for quiet reading etc. There was even a visitors herb garden which you could help yourself to.
The shop was well stocked with local meats and bacon in the freezer and farm eggs for 20p each amongst all the basic necessities such as pasta and wine. There was a small library/book swap and DVD library for guests. The service from the wardens was very friendly and efficient.
The highlight of the site was probably the shower/loo block. This looked brand new and had spotless high spec facilities, free hair dryers and lights in the mirrors.
Warm, bright and light for a very wet June day. The other highlight was the Indian and Chinese restaurant delivery service. Very convenient after a long drive.
Will we be back. We can't wait till next year!

This was our first camping trip 2 adults and 2 children and what an excellent experience we have had from the very helpful staff to the excellent camp facilities you have to try this campsite out
The camp is very laid back and relaxing with plenty of things for young children to do, games room large football field and great climbing frames also plenty of attractions in the area
We would recommend the swimming pool at Tenterden they have a wave pool, flume and splash pool for younger children not far from the park all in all a highly rated first class campsite this could in fact be campsite heaven especially for new campers we have already book again

We visited here for our first camping trip.
Check in was quick and easy, as it was very quiet this weekend we were given a choice of two sites to pitch on; both were level, sheltered by a hedge and with EHU (as requested).
The ablution block was meticulously clean and warm with a heated floor in the showers. There are also hairdryers fitted in the shower section.
There is a campers kitchen, although we were lucky it was so quiet as there is little room to put your dirty/clean things as you do the dishes. There is also a laundry room, games room, baby room and chemical disposal unit that we did not use.
A number of local walks have been identified and the routes are available from the reception.
Although we didn't eat out, we were offered a discount card for a nearby pub.
All in all a lovely weekend, and we look forward to returning.

We needed a local site to try out our new unit, and managed to get a pitch at Broadhembury over the Easter weekend.
At first I felt it was very expensive, when on holidays further afield we usually stay on C&CC sites which are cheaper, but by the end of our stay I felt it had been worth every penny.
The site was full, but the good pitch sizes, and clever use of hedges meant you didn't feel packed in.
The showers and toilets were spotless, and I mean spotless! As I have said the site was full, and being a British bank holiday it rained most of the time. Lots of campers + lots of rain usually = lots of mud, but every time I used the toilets or showers there was not a speck of dirt to be found. The shower cubicles were among the best I have come across, with your own individual bench with hooks above for clothes, towel etc. And underfloor heating which meant no shivering while drying and dressing. Our 6 year old, who hates camping showers didn't complain once. My husband was equally impressed with the men's facilities. Apparently in the adults only area there is a brand new facility block, which is apparently even better!
The camp kitchen had everything needed, sinks with hot water, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier, and was again always warm and spotless.
We stayed in the area for families, and it was nice knowing that those campers who wanted to be away from children were, so our girls weren't going to get frowned on while playing. Our 6 year old loved riding her bike around the site 'road', and the play area was perfectly designed for children of all ages, including a football pitch with goals. There was also a small indoor area with air hockey, table football and a tv/dvd, we didn't use this, but it looked warm and clean.
The staff are very friendly, and helpful. After a warm welcome at reception we were shown to our pitch. After about 20mins someone came to check we were happy.
One night, just after the office had closed, the electric hook-ups broke. We were a bit concerned about this, as it was getting dark, and therefore colder. With our unit being canvas, we were worried we were about to have a cold sleepless night. However, within 2 minutes of a phone call, the staff were out trying to fix the problem, and had a team of electricians on site very quickly. Once the problem was fixed the staff came round to check everyone was ok.
On Easter Sunday, everyone was invited up to the reception for tea and hot cross buns. There was an Easter egg hunt, face painting, a quiz, raffle and colouring competition, all free, but by donations raising money for Diabetes research. I'm not usually a big fan of organised activities, preferring to do our own thing, but the informal, friendly way the morning was organised was excellent and very enjoyable, despite the poor weather.
All in all an excellent site, and we have already booked to return for the early May bank holiday. Broadhembury has certainly become one of our favourite local sites.

Wow! This site is wonderful!
It is a site of two halves - adults on one side of a cul-de-sac, and families/mobile homes on the other. Both sides have their own facilities.
The welcome we received was so friendly. We were given a site and area map, with pubs/eateries marked on it, and a business card of the Kinds Arms pub with 10% off - more later.
We were shown our pitch on the map, and told we could pitch along it or nose out, provided we left 1m distance from the next pitch, they even offered to help pitch. We found our pitch across the lane, thru the electronic coded gate, for which we were given the number. The pitch was lovely - completely flat, with a hedge behind, and space for vans opposite, also with a hedge, so very sheltered.
On this side of the lane is a brilliant kids playground/foot pitch, plus games and tv room. There are no ball games allowed by the vans, and there's no need as the pitch is a good size. There are actually 2 playgrounds - under and over 7s.
There is a laundry (which we didn't use) Ladies and gents loos - plenty of them, and extremely spacious showers, with underfloor heating (lovely). The showers are push button and also temperature adjustable. Around the corner is the washup area and campers kitchen, all undercover. The CDP is also round this side. My only criticism here is that a bit of work surface between sinks would be useful to put your dirty/clean pots on.
Water, grey waste and rubbish disposal are in the centre of the site.
In reply to other reviewers, there is road noise, but then you're only 10 mins from the M20, Ashford International train station, and a 24hr Tesco, so you'd expect it. However the birds are much louder and far more pleasant to listen to!
There are lots of walks in the area, nice flat cycle rides, and masses of historical stuff in the area. Dover castle was magnificent, and we really enjoyed Canterbury. We went to the Kings Head for a meal, however make sure you book. We thought the place was empty, but every table was reserved and we ate in the bar! The food was fabulous!
On Easter Sunday the staff organised a charity easter egg hunt, face painting, competitions, and treasure hunt, along with drinks and hot cross buns in reception. It was so lovely to see and meet so many different people.
We are definitely returning as we loved the site and the area so much. We couldn't recommend this site highly enough.

Had a very quiet and relaxing weekend at Broadhembury, Very close to ashford town but you would not think so as you are far enough away to feel your in the Kent countryside.
The facilities are very very good, Showers are great with under floor heating and exceptionally clean as is the rest of the site, well kept grass and good size pitches are a plus,
We noticed a lot of wildlife on and around the site.
Ideal location to stay for the Kent coast.
Although this is quite local for us we will be coming back as we had such a good time and were made very welcome.

This site is in a very quiet location, it is very clean and tidy. The building works when finished will make this site superb. We arrived very late at night, this was no problem taken to a temporary pitch then given our pitch in the morning. It seemed like nothing was too much trouble to make our stay enjoyable. This was our first time using an adult only area, and we really did notice the difference. The site has a small on site shop, and there are big supermarkets nearby. For the shoppers there is a big outlet shopping centre just down the road, this site is also close enough for the channel tunnel to use as on overnight stop over.

My wife & I spent a couple of nights on this site to try out our new Outwell Salinas tent. We also used it as an excuse to meet up with family & friends.
We arrived at the site at about 17:30 after being caught in traffic on the approach to the Dartford crossing for a couple of hours. Booking in was very straightforward and the lady in the office was very pleasant.
A chap on a bike showed us to our pitch which by this time late in the afternoon was all in the shadow of a very high hedge, whereas the other side of the area was in bright sunshine so we asked if there were any pitches 'in the sunshine'. Within a couple of minutes they had found us another pitch even though they were extremely busy. This was their 1st of many examples of excellent customer service shown to us over the short weekend.
The pitches were plenty big enough, we had a decent size tent, trailer & 4 wheel drive vehicle on ours. They were also very flat and dead easy to get pegs into, the new Outwell plastic pegs were no problem. Our pitch had EHU and a fresh water tap within a few feet.
The on site shop had all the essentials on sale and facilities to order newspapers. There was also masses of information available on things to do in the local area. There is also a large Tesco within a few minutes drive.
The showers, toilets & potwash areas were all first class. Always clean with loads of hot water. The showers are the push button type but have loads of power.
Over the weekend we had 6 visitors on site - 3 adults & 3 children. All the children were under 4 so weren't charged for and as 1 of the adults was only on site for an hour we weren't charged for her either.
The children's play facilities and large playing field were a huge hit with our grand kids. They were all very well kept & maintained.
Although only a few miles off the motorway the traffic noise is only noticeable if you really listen and is certainly not enough to keep you awake at nights (certainly not after a day with the grad children!)
Even though we were in a family area with loads of children, all were really well behaved. Everyone we met on site was extremely polite (a Belgian lady who noticed my wife had a bad back even offered to help us put the tent up) and we had a super weekend. The owners of this site are in the process of developing an Adults Only area and if it is to the same high standards as the rest of this site it will be superb.
So a big thanks to all the staff and we would recommend this site to anyone.
