Broadhembury is a well-maintained, organised site and we would definitely go back.

On arrival it felt quite regimented because the pitches are numbered and allocated (we've only ever stayed at sites where you can pitch anywhere) but we were quickly won over by the park.  It's divided up with hedges into smaller sections which offer some privacy but overall there isn't much privacy between the pitches and they did seem to be quite close together.  The site has an international feel to it because there were quite a lot of Dutch staying there and the other campers were made up of families and couples.

The site is accessed by an electronic gate that requires a code to be entered, which is very reassuring if you've got small children with you.   The children's play area is good, with a separate area for under 7's and a large field with goals set up for football.  The slide was broken for the duration of our stay, and therefore out of bounds.  There is a games room with some arcade games, table football and table tennis.  In the games room is also a TV area, but we didn't use it.

The showers and toilets were in excellent condition, and clean.  Plenty of hot water, shower cubicles were large with a bench in each and never any queues.  The site has a "Campers' Kitchen" with dishwashing facilities, fridge, freezer and microwaves - we felt very spoilt by this!  Again, the kitchen was well-mainted and clean.

It's a busy site with tents/caravans coming and going every day, but overall it's a lovely, quiet site.  Well away from any main roads, so Broadhembury is a peaceful place and set amongst fields.

Overall we really liked this site, would recommend it and will definitely go back.

We had a little trouble booking on the 1st attempt I was told there was no space but on a subsequent call I managed to book two pitches together!

The showers and toilets are very clean (free hairdryers) and there is a baby changing room which is very handy. A real bonus is the campers kitchen where there are microwaves, a fridge and freezer all free to use.

There are two small play areas, one for tots and one for slightly older children, a cut down sized football pitch and ball games area. Also there is a games room with pool and table football.

The pitches are just about big enough for a trailer tent and car. The site is flat and well maintained.  It has a 'please be quiet' rule from 10pm and a 'no noise' rule from 11pm.  We had a 2 night stay and had a lovely time.

Disappointing to say the least. Rang on the Friday morning to check availability. I got the impression that I was an imposition over the phone as I was told they "like to keep spaces for people pulling in off the road". After some deliberation we were offered a place on the adults only site - couldn't be better I thought! Full payment required over the phone. Arrived and at reception had to ask if there was a bread delivery and newspaper delivery, it wasn't offered. Receptionist was unsure, all depended if she could get £5 worth of orders. The adults only site is on the other side of the road to the main site, and doesn't have its own shower or toilet block. However, we were invited to use the portaloo next to the Manager's caravan! The field is next to the dog walk and dog poo bins, the resultant heaps of soil moved to make the dog walk is piled up around the edges and ribboned off, rather like the council piles up dirt to keep travellers off sites.
We were made to park in a Herringbone pattern, there were stubs of wood with numbers on to denote pitches and haphazard electricity posts, if like us you have a long van its a bit hairy and confusing as to where they want you.

Once pitched we walked over to the main site which is very tidy, had lots of spare pitches and lots of static vans which were all kept very nicely, however there were kids on bikes racing round and round. There was a campers washing up room with microwaves and freezers, granted it was clean, but what use was it to us when we had to carry stuff back and forth across the site, over a road and through another site to reach our caravan? The same with the toilets and showers, particularly at night as the adults field is pitch black and as said previously, dotted with pitch stubs. The toilets themselves had hairs and dirt in cracks and crevices, they were dingy, dirty and smelled stale. Chinese and indidan deliver to the site though, thats about the only positive thing I can say.

Very site nice with clean toilets, showers, and kitchen cleanup area. We paid 14 pounds for 2 adults with a tent. The site also allows dogs and has its own dog walk. The staff is very nice and the site also has a playground, games room, and TV lounge. There's not much privacy between camping spots, but overall the site is great!

Returned home today after a three (extended to four day) visit, due to the weather and the wonderfully clean site that we encountered at Broadhembury. The games room, play areas, dog site, I don't think could be improved, although if my granddaughter had stayed for more than one day, I think my purse would soon have been emptied of 50ps! once she had discovered the games room, If you have children, take their tennis bats and balls, a small saving if your budget is not elasticated! Excellent staff, friendly and helpful, all in all a very happy weekend, and yes I will be returning, at one stage we had the site all to ourselves. Utter bliss!

We spent five night's here in the Oct half term,
We have a large trailer tent and the pitch took it no problem. The toilets / showers were excellent with underfloor heating! They were always clean / tidy and we never experienced any queues but it was quiet there because of the constant rain.
Some of the grass area was closed off because the wet weather had made them soggy.
The park manager was most helpful and supplied us with wooden pallets so we could get on / off the grass without picking up too much mud. Although it was raining we had a lovely time and will hopefully return next year when it is Sunnier!
The campers kitchen is amazing the best one we have seen so far! it has 2 microwave ovens / fridge freezer and also a large deep freezer. The sinks for washing up were kept nice and clean as is everything else to do with this site. It has a games room with  table tennis and game machines.
There is a five aside football pitch, excellent laundry room with hot rails to put your wet towels?
Overall an excellent site 10/10

Nice peaceful site with friendly owners.
The camping pitches were a good size and not too cramped.
The toilets were spotless and the showers were a good size, free and also spotless.
There is a fridge and freezer to use also free and microwaves.
Overall a very well maintained site with a clean dog walking field.
Would definitely go back again.

This fairly small campsite is clearly signposted from the M20 and has to be one of the cleanest campsites we have ever visited. At £18.50 per night is one of the most expensive sites we've visited but it is well worth it.

The touring field with electric hook-ups is set between landscaped hedges and pitches are adequately sized. It was a very hot week and the majority of the time it was hard to find any shade.

The facilities provided are excellent. The site was constantly busy and although there were only 6 showers in the ladies, there was never a queue. There is a spotless baby room with large bathing sink and also a baby bath. Nappy bags are provided. The campers kitchen was amazing - 4 sinks, a large fridge, a large chest freezer and 2 microwave ovens. Every facility has cloths for you to clean up afterwards - which everyone did. There's a small laundry room and airers can be hired.

There is a small playground for youngsters, a small scale football pitch, a games room and TV lounge. A fellow camper did mention however, that his teenage grandson found there wasn't much to do for his age group.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is much information about the area held in the reception, such as walking information and where the nearest good food pubs are. The local cricket ground allows campers into its bar but it is not open very frequently. When we were leaving staff said we could leave our trailer on site until we were ready to travel home.

We loved the fact this was a multi-national site with many families from Germany and The Netherlands. One family from Holland had originally booked for a week and ended up booking a further 2 weeks as there is so much to do and see in the area. I recommend seeing Dover Castle and the kite surfers at Romney Sands.

The only negative point about this site is the number of stern reading notices about what not to do. I would recommend they display instructions on how to use the microwaves!

I can highly recommend this campsite not only is it scrupulous clean but it also very friendly.
This was our first trip at camping and not knowing quite what to expect I can say that I was very pleasantly surprised.
The toilets and shower block were spotless as was the overall site.
There was a children's playground and a lovely open area for the kids to left off some steam.
I was very impressed with this site and hopefully we will be returning again in the near future.
