I,my husband and 7 year old daughter have just returned from a 5 night stay at this site. It is a lovely site and is in a good central location to visit the Yorkshire coast. When we arrived we were shown to our pitch by the warden who didn't really seem to have that much time for us.She pointed us to our pitch and we were told put your car there the toilets there and that was it. No welcome pack like has been said in some reviews. However it has changed owners since those reviews were made. Our pitch was in a corner with a high hedge at the side and back which made it very private. However the child's play Field is the other side of said hedge and we had the joy of hearing the kids squealing and yawping till all hours. Drove us mad at night. Not many tents on site mainly caravans. Toilet blocks and showers very clean take lots of 20ps for the pot washing, hairdryer e.T.C. Heard the Fox's and owls at night. Also heard the blooming cockerel at the crack of dawn. Have to agree with a previous review ask for a pitch that isn't under a tree. We had a bird poo or two to clear off. All in all it was a nice site and we had a lovely holiday but we wont be returning.

We chose Jasmine Park based on the reviews other people have logged and it more than lived up to our expectations. Staff are incredibly friendly as were the other campers. I would absolutely recommend the site to anyone - the facilities were spot on (particularly appreciated the heating in the showerblock compared to other more basic sites we've visited.)

We visited this site after reading the reviews on here and we were not disappointed! The site is lovely, well kept, clean and tidy. The wardens are very helpful and friendly. The toilet block was cleaned daily and the bins were also emptied daily, no overflowing bins as seen on other sites. I never queued for the showers but I did get in them early (before 7.30am). It was a busy site and was almost full when we arrived but there was people packing up and arriving daily and it was only at the weekend the site seemed full to capacity. It is a haven for wildlife and my chilren loved the nature trail around the site. The play field was great for my boys to play football without kicking the ball into other tents! There is also a lovely park in the village which is clean and well kept. The parking disc given to us on arrival for Scarborough was a godsend, no more scrabbling in pockets and purses for pay and display machines, and the key operated barrier made us feel quite safe at night. All in all a smashing site and not too expensive. We paid about £16 a night peak season which to me is very reasonable and we will definitely be visiting this site again.

This was a clean site, toilet block could have been a little bit bigger, only 3 showers, and 1 soap dispenser to about 7 sinks!. We were pitched in the far tent field, which is the only area of the site I would recommend, the others were all under trees, not much sun would shine through. Its a very quite site, not a great deal for the kids to do, they do have a large playing field with 2 football nets. So if your kids prefer a proper playing area, then this is not the site for you. Our child is 5yrs did take his bike, but not much room through other tents and caravans to ride it. You do have to pay to wash your pots (20p) this I know doesn't sound a lot but when you have paid £122 for 1 wk in a tent, I think they should waiver it. Places to visit. Eden Camp about 30 mins drive. A brill half day out, this used to be a POW camp in 2nd world war, my 5ry old loved it. Both indoor and outdoor picnic areas. £4.50 for adults & £3.50 for kids over 5, under 5's free. Dalby Forest, £5 per car to get in, 2 play areas, you can hire bikes and follow numerous bike routes, or walking routes. A nice quiet site, however although we do not like the really busy loud sites I think next time I would choose somewhere a little closer a village / town. As you have to rely on the car for everything. I would recommend to those who just want a really quiet holiday. We won't be returning.

We found this a lovely peaceful site, well maintained, toilets kept clean and fresh, and very friendly service. I would recommend jasmine park to any campers who want quiet location, there is no bars or parks but the field is open to ball games and many families made the most of it. We will come back to jasmine park in the future.

This site was beautiful. When we arrived we were personally shown our pitch in the paddock area. This was the best pitch of the park. So peaceful! There is no playarea for the children but a fantastic football/picnic field which is completely safe. The toilets are spotless and the park itself is a gem. There are bat and owl boxes dotted around. We did see the bats but unfortunately missed out on the owls. If peace and tranquillity is what you want then this is the place for you.

Very clean and quite site - Showers and toilets spotless - friendly staff/owners, advised nice places to visit etc. - cant knock the site for professionalism and quality. - a lot of hard work as gone into making this an top site.
One thing though if you are in a tent - ask for a pitch that is NOT under a tree, as you will be cleaning bird muck for most of your stay.!
Again this is a very good site, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Well I used the reviews on here as a basis for my choice of campsite - we were not disappointed. It was our first camping trip (since teenage years) and I don't think the site could have been better. It's a quiet site, the tents and a few of the caravans are in "the paddock" which is attractive. There was a second field next to the ball games field which we think they use when busy but it was just a second playing field when we went - great for our 2yr old. We never queued for amenities, the showers and toilets were literally spotless when we arrived Friday pm. As they were used the floors did get a little dirty but that was all. We used the family bathroom for bathing our toddler. The staff were very friendly. They walked to our pitch but our tent was too big for the pitch so he showed us to a different one. We paid an extra £2 a night for our large tent. You do need plenty of 20p. The showers are free but the hot water for dishwashing is 20p a go and the bath is also 20p for the boiler. No problems with noisy neighbours, it's not really that kind of site and if it had happened I got the impression the warden would soon be on the case. I did see him having a gentle word with a group of kids (don't know what about) but he did it nicely and it did make sure order was kept. The shop is tiny, good for - bread, milk, papers and tennis balls but not a great deal else. I'm sure we will return.

A very short review but here goes. As goes the site bad points first pitches are small compared to a lot of other sites. Other little thing I did not like our part of the site had water taps right next to other peoples vans and it felt like you were getting in there way Owner and wife are brilliant 1st class all the way showed us to pitch and some might say a little too helpful. Showers toilets etc spotless. Brilliant dog walk outside was fine nice and quiet with loads of little lanes for you to go down. Bird song not a problem as we are used to it. Nice to see barn owls while we were away it made up for not seeing ours nesting in tree at back of our house. Site was really nice even if like I said a little overcrowded a lot of vans seem to be season holders there too close for my liking but there you go Think everyone would enjoy even if it is a little clicky

What an absolute gem of a campsite! The staff are really nice and helpful, the amenities are spotlessly clean and the site is well kept and welcoming. On arrive you get a "Welcome pack" and a request for a £10 deposit for the special electronic barrier key - so you can come and go as you please. You also get a "Parking Disk" for designated "Disk Parking" in the local area - Better than paying for a car park!
Stayed here with my superior half for 1 night only in an attempt to convince her that camping really is fun and it rained quite hard, all evening. However, this delightful site and its equally delightful staff did its job (so did the Blacks tent).
Ground drainage where the caravans and tents are situated appeared to be rather good but there was 1 patch of surface water but this will not pose a problem, was quite small and well away from tents, motorhomes etc. I suspect it would dry up/drain away quite quickly when the sun comes out.
If you are after tranquility, away from the hustle & bustle of daily life, this really is the place for you. The area is one of the few places in the UK where Barn Owls are on the increase and nesting boxes can be seen amongst the trees dotted throughout the site. The next weekend I have free (after a bit of Hill walking in Cumbria) I will come back here. Fortunately its only over an hour from where I live so I suspect I will become a frequent visitor. Waking in the morning to a plethora of bird song is the one thing which will lighten the heaviest of hearts (even though my wife did say that its like waking up in an aviary)
WARNING: Take lots of 20p pieces if you intend to use hot water for washing pots and pans as this drives the hot water boiler, 20p pieces for the hairdryers, 50p pieces for tumble dryers, spin dryers and washing machines. Can't recall what coins drive the irons - sorry! The showers and toilets are free and are cleaned regularly. Get a shower before everyone else starts to use hot water or the pressure will drop.
The Reception/Shop is VERY small and it would be a squeeze to get more than 5 or 6 adults clustered together. However, the basics are sold there should you forget or run out of anything.
The local pubs and eating establishments are just a few mins drive away although you can go into Scarborough if you fancy a 20 min drive. This site is not a place for kids though and I suspect its not designed as such. Although there is a play park its esentially a section of field with a set of goal posts and 1 or 2 other sundry items, 20 mins in the play area and there is a danger they will get bored. Nevertheless it IS an ideal, peaceful base to start exploring the area. This is a really nice site, with really nice staff. I will be back.
