My wife and I have just got home from our first camping trip in 15 years from Jasmine park. We couldn't have picked a more pleasant site. Warden couple were great. Our 2 dogs loved it. Even though the weather wasn't the best, jasmine park is a great site for a base to visit the east Yorkshire coastline. Will definitely be going back to this site. Fish and chips in the village is worth every penny.

Nice quiet secluded site. Warden and wife very helpful and friendly. Toilet block always spotless. Showers always hot and clean. Great facilities ie shop, laundry, place for washing dishes. Excellent size pitches for tents.
Great open field with football nets for kids, keeping them away from other holidaymakers. Loads of great attractions nearby ie Eden Camp, Heartbeat village, Scarborough, Bridlington the list is endless. Would recommend this site to anyone. Had a fantastic week.

Well what can I say. It was our first ever time camping and we choose just the right site to break us into the joys of it all. We arrived and managed to pitch up just before the rain hit and oh boy did it rain! (2 days constant- apart from a break for a couple of hours on our 1st evening!) The site itself is a lovely quiet place, just what you want to relax and unwind. The showers / toilets were kept clean (even through all the heavy rain) there is a small shop on site if you need your essential such a milk, bread (or wine, for you wine lovers!)
The staff are very welcoming which adds to a lovely friendly site. Its just a short car journey into Pickering or if you enjoy the beach, then about 20mins in car to Scarborough! We stayed for 2 nights (we didn't ask for electric hook up- although they do supply it) it cost £44.00 for our 2 nights, which we thought was reasonable. Despite all the bad weather we faced, we survived it and still came out loving the camping- definitely hooked! Will be visiting site again! Even our Ozzie (the dog) had a great time!

Well what can I say, great site the couple who ran it were fantastic, nothing to much bother
Shop was open all the time sometimes till after 7 at night.
Good to see the man checking the site at night made you feel safe.
Cant wait till we go back.
Toilet block clean and tidy, floor did get dirty but what do you expect on a camp site.
All in all a well run site.

First time visiting this quite secluded camp site.
New wardens husband and wife team very welcoming, friendly and helpful. (nothing ever seemed too much trouble)
Firm and well drained pitch, well maintained grass, generous size pitch.
Clean and well maintained toilet/shower block.
Good sized fenced off play area, kept ball games away from units.
Ideal location for touring North Yorkshire.
Will happily visit again next time camping in the area

I have a few points about this site.
I usually have a touring caravan and don't stay in a static very often, bearing that in mind my points aren't specific to the caravan as it was clean and excellent.
Firstly, the site is clean and well kept. Secondly, the welcome from the owners / wardens is non existent and will be the downfall of this site.
The shop was advertised as being open from 8.30am so we ordered papers to read with our breakfast. The first, second & third day the shop wasn't open until after 10.30am and despite our attempts to find someone, including ringing the given mobile we couldn't make any contact so we abandoned the paper on day three, only to be told because we hadn't collected it (something we tried over and over again to do) we weren't to have another one as the paper hadn't been collected & thus thrown away.
This site certainly has the potential of being great, it's not it's just average. The welcoming atmosphere from other sites makes me say this one is quite poor, although cosmetically it is a nice site.

Went over the bank holiday so we had to pay for four nights minimum £88.00 with hook up but not including awning which would have been another £8.00. The TV reception is not good if you have a free view box you need a booster.
This site is about a mile and half from the nearest pub which you wouldn't like to walk back from as it is along a single lane road / track.
Ok thats the negatives over onto the positives the site is situated about 7 miles from Scarborough 5 miles from Pickering, half an hours drive from Goathland (Heartbeat) 40 mins From Whitby. Eden Camp 20 mins drive £5.00 entry.
The site is kept to a nice clean standard Toilets / Gardens etc. although I found it a little strange Caravans and tents mixed together and a little too close together.
This is a good base if you want to explore surrounding areas, but not one for you campers who want a night out in the local village as there is nowhere to go, so stock up your fridge and spend the night in but dont forget your Booster!

We were really impressed with this site. When we arrived we were shown a number of pitches we could choose from which I thought was good as some of the pitches are under trees. The shower blocks are really nice, they are heated and are kept very clean with lots of hot water (not like some sites that we have visited were if you are not in the shower early enough then you get washed in luke warm water). The location is in a really quiet location down a country lane and within about a 15 minute drive into Scarborough.
The site does have a very small shop where you can pre-order newspapers and bread but we found a Morrissons supermarket which was a 15 minute drive away. There is a large field at the back of the site which I believe is the childrens playing field, as we don't have children not really sure about childrens facilities. We found this site to be really peaceful, wardens really friendly and in a good location for exploring the surrounding areas, and have just booked to go back again over the May Spring Bank for a week.

A nice site well run and very clean. A nice central site for visiting the local area. Having 3 boys I felt they were not that child friendly, with being told quite firmly no playing or making noise on the site only on the play ground. It was a nice site but I think it would suit couples only.

Having visited the site last year we were really impressed and decided to return this year. The standards and quality of the site remain excellent, a small friendly site with very clean facilities and modern shower block, set in quiet countryside. The site has an electric barrier gate and is away from the main road adding to a sense of security. The wardens are new this year and are extremely help full, more than previous ones, and very friendly and approachable., working hard to maintain the site to its high standards. The only negative thing is the lack of a play area that includes swings etc, there is a large playing field but it only has two sets of goalposts in it.Not much for the young ones really, and at busy times this playing field is used as an overflow for tents which reduces the play area drastically. Overall though I would highly recommend it for a visit and its especially suitable for quiet families , being a small site.
