Overall a very satisfactory site. We were greeted with a friendly welcome on arrival, which set the tone for our stay. The pitch was of a generous size, although the electric hook-up was too far away for our electrical intake point, and we could have done with an extension lead, but we managed and it wasn't a problem. Facilities on site are generally good.
The park was adequate for the kids, and the football field seemed to be always in use. One minor gripe would be the lack of sufficient showering and washing up facilities - 3 showers each in male / female block, and only 3 sinks for washing up.
The site was very busy while we were there and we always had to queue for showers and washing up. On the subject of the washing up room, there is a socket outlet in there, presumably for the iron, which was being used by youngsters for charging phones & ipods on the evenings - perhaps alternative arrangements could be made for the iron to prevent the groups of hoodies hanging round there in the evenings.
The shop has a good selection of the basics, and is reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay at Jasmine park, it is a friendly and well run site, and we would certainly return.

We visited this site early July 2012, This was in fact our first camping trip, great place clean and friendly,
Great play area for a five year old and eight year old, we camped in the field furthest away, so it was a long walk to the loo and it wasn't a well lit walk,
But a great place and I would certainly stay there again,
Easy driving distance to Scarborough and the rest of the east coast.
One issue we found was a mobile chip shop comes to the site, and the price of the fish and chips to say the least was expensive, I reckon you can easy drive to a Fish and chip shop instead,
Overall a great campsite.

We have just returned after spending 4 days at Jasmine Park & were so pleased we are hoping to return for the Aug Bank hols if they have room.
I am suprised by some of the negative comments and quite frankly, I do wonder what some people expect when they are camping. They should maybe book into a hotel if they can't cope with mud, grass cuttings & flies which, after 10 years of camping, we have become accustomed to.
The toilet block was very clean on all the occasions I used it, and the washing up facilities spotless, thanks to fellow campers cleaning up after themselves & the staff checking the facilities. The staff were some of the friendliest & most helpful I have come across.
The shop was well stocked and very reasonable prices, especially for kids with pocket money. It was 20 mins drive to Scarborough/ Filey so very well located.
Our 7 & 10 year old sons loved the football field & play area which kept them busy during the evenings. A strict rule of 'no noise from 11' was great for us so don't book here if you want to drink until the small hours- take yourself off to one of the commercial sites along the coast with all the other noisy campers.
This site is ideal for families who don't want an 'all singing, all dancing site'. We loved IT.

We stayed at Jasmine Park over Easter. It was incredibly wet and the ground did get somewhat muddy with the bottom field (Cherry Meadows) having some standing water which meant that it was only usable in parts for tents. Not really surprising given the amount of rain that fell.
We really liked the site but were lucky as we were placed on a fully serviced seasonal pitch due to there being some vacancies this year. These are all hard standing and fully serviced with water and drainage. We were really impressed. The grass pitches are essentially in a field by the entrance which are mixed with tents. Over Easter this field was packed solid with virtually 2-3 feet between some outfits and due to the rain rather muddy. If we had been on this section we would not have been very happy and would expect more room for what is charged
Mention has previously been made of the shower blocks which in my view were of a good standard and well maintained.
Take care on the entrance if arriving with a caravan as it is very tight between 2 hedges if you have a longer van (mine was 21 ft). It really needs trimming back and caused a slight damage to a side panel when I caught it on the corner.
The site is great for kids. There is a new playground which is of a high standard with the soft floor covering. There is also the bottom field where they can play ball games. We had to keep calling our children back in to eat/drink as they were having such a good time with new friends. They were exhausted by bedtime having spent hours out playing
We tried the fish and chip van on the Saturday which was excellent (and we are fussy). Also tried the take away pizza place which is based at the Peacock pub. We were disappointed as it was Monday and they don’t deliver, but he came out anyway with the order. Excellent service and the food was brilliant.
The people on the seasonal pitches all knew each other and there was clearly a good atmosphere between them all
Overall worth a visit, and very convenient for Dalby Forest and biking. Thorton Le Dale worth a visit for the local shops

We stayed at this site for 10 days which covered the August bank holiday in the middle. The site is in a lovely quiet village within a short drive of the coast and not too far to York.
We stayed in the tent field with no EHU - Cherry Meadows. On arrival the lady at reception was very friendly and gave us a map of the site and suggested where might be good to pitch in the meadow.
We also had a chat to the gentleman and decided to go with his wife's advice! There are no marked pitches but plenty of room around the edge of the field.
We were warned that obviously it would get busy over the bank holiday but in comparison to other sites we've stayed at it was still very relaxed with only a few tents in the middle of the field and plenty of room to drive around them to get to your tent.
The ground was flat and not stony so easy to get pegs into. The hedgerow between our tent and the lane outside was very thick - you could hear traffic passing, but the lane is so quiet that you heard more horses than cars.
We had a lot of rain over the bank holiday and the field did not flood so I presume the drainage is good. The only muddy - and I mean really muddy - bit was the entrance into the field through the gate.
This was unavoidable with the large amount of rain and extra bank holiday campers. The owners realised as soon as it got bad and opened another gate to allow us to get the car in and out and came round to tell us when it would be open etc. We couldn't have asked for more.
Facilities: the kids loved the new playground. It is situated off a small EHU field but close enough for us to peer over the top of the hedge to check on them at the top of the slide! It is suitable for very young children too, but obviously they need to be better supervised.
We also loved the convenience of the shop. It was open 9-5 ish and had everything you could need. My 6 year old loved going for milk in the morning and it was perfectly safe for her to go on her own.
There were about 7 loos and 3 showers in the ladies. That was plenty enough apart from the bank holiday, but I think you expect a slight queue then. It seemed that extra cleaning was done over the bank holiday as I actually thought they were cleaner those few days - but it was hard to tell because obviously in very wet conditions you can't avoid the floor becoming muddy.
The loos themselves were very clean, but my one constructive criticism would be that the cisterns high on the wall need a good deep clean to get rid of the black mould. It was a shame really as that was the only bad point but made me nervous of venturing into the showers at first.
However, once in the showers were lovely. Other reviews complain about push button showers, but the water was lovely and warm and I liked not having to faff with different shower controls.
There was space to hang clothes and a stool to sit on to dry your feet so everything you could want really. There are also some sinks in private cubicles so that you can clean your teeth in privacy.
The best thing about the site is that it has a lovely peaceful air about it. There were a few sociable groups having an evening campfire and a chat, and plenty of young families.
Some of the larger tents looked a bit squashed onto the EHU pitches, but only because they were absolutely huge. Our Bear Lake would have happily fitted onto a marked pitch.
The site also has spaces for touring caravans and static vans. These areas were beautifully kept and I have happily recommended them to friends already.
Our favourite day out close by was Wolds Way Lavender. There is a games maze, miniature train ride and sculpture walk and would make a lovely day out for anyone.

First thing to say is that the site is very nice and we will no doubt be returning. We had 2 nights camping and were located in the tent fields at the end of the site.
There was plenty of space for us to pitch our 10 man tent when we arrived. We were quite a way from the toilet block, but we did book quite late. On the second night the site was very busy and we found that other tents were pitched close by.
The owners told us that it was the busiest weekend they'd had this year (Due to other events in the surrounding area).
Although the site was busy, it did not feel overcrowded. The toilet & shower facilities were fine, with constant hot water.
Our 3 young children loved the play area, definitely a great addition to a family friendly site like this one. The owners were friendly and accommodating.
The site security was re-assuring with the entrance barrier & security pass cards. The site shop had all the essentials & the fish and chip van that came on Saturday evening (6. 50pm) was great.
We will be returning, although I think we'll try and book with more than 1 weeks notice to try and get a pitch nearer to the main facilities.

We tried Jasmine Park as it had some good reviews and here is what we thought of it. The site we liked because it was divided up and didn't feel like a cattle market and it was well maintained although I would have liked the pitch to be slightly bigger (i like my space), I really liked the barrier entry system as it felt a bit more secure. The owner's Anne and her partner seem to have it all worked out although I am sure Anne's partner must be exhausted because he never seem's to stop working / checking things are ok, the site shop sold the essentials and at normal prices(well done jasmine park)
The site is in a lovely location with nice walks to the local shops/pubs where we had some top food in the Caley Arms (well worth it)
Noise levels were very good except for Saturday night when a group arrived late (around 9. 30 I think and they were still putting up their tent and blowing up air beds etc with car engine and headlights on ! at midnight (i am sure the people next to them were not best pleased)
The toilet blocks were good with only small waiting time for shower if you went at the busy times ( campsite was busy )however these toilets would be perfect if some campers would use the mop & bucket that was there and gave the toilet block floor a quick clean! not much to ask, instead of leaving it to Anne and partner all the time, when I used the shower I cleaned the whole side of the toilet block I was using. Only took minutes but looks much better for the next person using it ( same for washing up area although most people I saw using it did leave it clean.
The site is well situated for travelling around the area and we went to Filey, York and Scarborough as well as most of the local villages (all of them are lovely well kept and clean places)
Would we go back to this site ???
It is a fair drive for us but yes I would have no hesitation in going back to Jasmine Park and look forward to our next visit.
Well done Jasmine Park and thanks to Anne for getting in touch through UK Campsite to let me know she could fit us in with a late booking.

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of August, on arrival to our pitch it was just a mud patch in between a caravan and another tent with another 2 tents at the back of us with no more than 12 inch between us all.
We found the showers and toilets dirty and smelly often with no toilet roll. Normally very muddy and plenty of flies. Looks like they are mopped once a day but could do with closing for an hour a day for a good clean.
Only three showers in mens and womens for the whole site. There were only two pot washing sinks for the whole site and these were also smelly and dirty with sinks blocked with food and you were always queuing to use them.
There is a family bathroom around the back of the facility building but anyone walking by can see straight through the door as there is no curtain to give privacy.
Unfortunately we will not be returning to this site and I cannot understand why it was given AA 4 star rating. The site is definitely not as it looks on the website. Only good point was the children's new play area.

We have just returned from our stay at Jasmine Park and have mixed feelings about our stay. In the main the site is clean, tidy and has nice flat well drained field with ehu for our tent. Playground great as is the field for playing ball games where we had lots of fun although I am glad we were not on a pitch next to the football pitch, so would select your field carefully if you get chance.
As other reviews have stated tents too close together, we only just got our 'modest' 5 man tent into our allocated space with car parked in front of the tent. As we were leaving they cut the grass (and removed the sprayed on pitch markings) and remarked with larger pitches! When booking over estimate the size of your tent and ask not to be in front of toilet block/behind reception where tents and caravans appeared to be like sardines in a tin!
Whilst the toilets were clean, I cannot agree with the 5* claims. The sinks and toilets were clean on the surface, but there were cobwebs in the shower that must have been there a while, so felt it needed a good 'spring clean'. Private washing cubicles great, but shower drying space too small even my very slim 9 year old commented on the lack of room. Washing up and laundry facilities ok, but a little cramped, if you were at the first washing up sink, you had to move out of the way every time someone came in/ out as you were blocking the inward opening door.
Overall we had a nice time and may return, but will definitely check out other sites in the area first. Site is ideally located for Scarborough and Dalby Forest.

I visited Jasmine Park on Bank Holiday weekend with my husband and young child and some friends. I was very disappointed with the site for the price that we had paid.
We pitched in the over spill tent field which is a long way from the toilets, however we needed two pitches so this was the only option.
The toilets were quite a distance away from this field and I feel that Jasmine Park would benefit from a second toilet block. The toilets themselves were fine although could of benefited from being cleaned twice a day as people staying there had little respect for fellow campers.
The park also only had two washing up sinks which was not enough for the campsite, I ended up queuing for 40 minutes just to wash my dishes, after that experience I washed them in my tent!
The site was also extremely noisy even though the owners had stressed the 11 o'clock quiet rule when we booked in, we also found ourselves woken at 5. 30am -6. 00 am every morning by barking dogs.
Needless to say my friends and I will not return to this site and my friends actually left a day early!
