Overall the campsite was good. The toilets and showers were clean, the grounds were nicely kept and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The play park was nice as was the football pitch.
But, as someone has already reviewed, the allocated spaces were very cramped. We have a touring caravan with awning and unfortunately directly behind us was another caravan and within a few feet to the side was a camper van.
We had an excellant meal at 'The Grapes' in Ebberston approx 2 miles from the campsite.
Although the facilities were very good I don't think I'd go back to this campsite due to the space issues.

Upon arriving to Jasmine Park we were welcomed by a very friendly lady who kindly gave us directions to our pitches.
Being new to camping this is only the 2nd site we have visited and we loved it. We stayed for 2 nights with EHU and found the prices very reasonable. Although the weather wasn't great we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kids loved the new park (available for the kids until 10pm) and spent most of the day there.
The toilet/shower blocks were immaculate and I really appreciated the separate wash cubicles. As we were camping in a group, our friends who have a baby found the family bathroom a godsend.
As we tend to camp as a group its hard to find campsites that allow group bookings so Jasmine Park is great for this. We are a group of families with young children and were happy with the 'no noise after 11pm rule'. Over the 2 nights we had no problems with noise, however the tent field we were pitched in was pretty empty.
I have an Outwell Idaho XL tent and found the pitch big enough for our tent.
The area surrounding Jasmine Park is great with only an 8 mile drive to Scarborough. We enjoyed a very windy day in Scarborough and a Day at Eden Camp. FlamingoLand is also only 8 miles from the campsite.
As mentioned in previous reviews, the Fish and Chip van comes every Saturday, however if you don't fancy fish and chips, there are a number of takeaway menu's available in the Information hut next to the toilet blocks. We had pizza delivered to the site from a local pub.
The on site store is well stocked with all the necessities as well as luxuries eg. beer and is very reasonably priced.
Overall I would definitely recommend Jasmine Park to families. We have booked up again for the August bank holiday and will be staying for 3 nights.

We recently visited the Jasmine Park Caravan Park where we stayed with our tent for eight nights.
The caravan park is situated in some very nice countryside with some lovely spots to explore and discover. Only eight miles from Pickering and eight miles from Scarborough it is an ideal location for any good family holiday.
The caravan park is run by a nice friendly couple. There is a small shop on site which stocks a range of all what you may need in an emergency including beers in the fridge. A fish and chip van calls on a saturday evening at 6.45. The toilet and shower block are well kept, clean and we always found the showers to be hot.
We enjoyed our week very much and will return to Jasmine Park. We would recommend this site to anyone looking to explore this part of Yorkshire.

Jasmine park is set in a lovely location down a county lane, on arrival we were located our pitch, initially I was slightly disappointed as we were situated in pitch 17 straight next door to the toilet block and no view to speak on other than the road running through the park and the static in front of us. I was also worried about noise from the toilet block late into the evening this however this was not a problem in the slightest, the tent behind had also impinged onto our pitch so we did feel like we didn't have much space, had we been staying for longer than the 2 nights then we would have asked for an alternative pitch as it was on our arrival the site was full and no other pitches available.
One point I would like to mention in case Jasmine park read this is the drinks machine next to the toilet block is not ideal, when the park is quiet at night all you can hear is the refrigeration unit from this machine and it did take some time to drop off to sleep thanks to this. I also didn't witness anyone using the machine so would question if it was needed but definitely not needed in that location.
The shower block was clean, at 3 various times when using the loo there was no toilet paper, the toilet cisterns are also very nasty looking covered in black damp mould but they are high up so cannot be touched by little fingers. The height of the flushes was also an issue, not for us as I always accompany my children to the toilet however others do not & younger children cannot reach the flush so when you are next in the toilet after a smaller person you are faced with what they left in the loo! I also feel that for the size of the park 3 female & male showers are not sufficient perhaps 1 or 2 more showers would make all the difference likewise with the pot washing facilities 2 sinks not enough.
The area on the park is fantastic really well built and safe for children also small football area provided for kids to let off steam, would we stay here again? I think we would yes but would ask for a pitch near the football area and stay out of the school holidays so hopefully the lack of showers would not be an issue.

Very disappointed in this site.
Stayed for 3 nights.
-Toilets very dirty, sanitary bins overflowing in the ladies for the 4 days we were there. Never emptied for the duration of our stay. Floor filthy. Our son refused to shower in the mens showers as he said they were so dirty.
-Very cramped. No room for the children to play near tent due to the close proximity of other tents.
-Family bathroom advertised but this is kept locked and there are only 4 keys. The chance of getting a key is very slim.
-We found the site very noisy at night. This may be just a reflection on the time we were there but the closeness of the other tents didn't help.
-Nice playground for children but quite far away from the electric hook up tent area.
-Pot wash area very small.
-This site is very expensive compared to other sites. Have stayed at Wolds Way and Vale of Pickering, both of which are cheaper than this site, and in our opinion are much nicer.

We returned yesterday from Jasmine caravan park and were not impressed! We were in our touring caravan and when we arrived at the park just over a week ago we were advised that we may need to be towed by tractor to our pitch - this was an indication of the state of the ground.
We made our own way to the pitch and were quite horrified by all the 'bald' patches where other vans and tents had been pitched. We were shown to our pitch which was quite roomy but the awning went directly on to the muddy bare soil.
We experienced a week where there was rain most days and this did nothing to help the situation. On the days when we could have sat out in the evening the lack of grass was very off putting. We have been on many other sites and the grass has never been this bad. It seems that bad management is the problem and that pitches have not been given time to recover by being rotated. It looked to be a long term problem as usually when a van or tent has been on grass when it is removed the grass is usually a lighter colour whereas on these pitches the grass had gone completely.
We walked around the site and admit that the areas of hardstanding of which there were a lot were much better. There were a lot of vans on seasonal pitches. We rather felt like the poor relations on the grass touring pitches.
Also we do not feel that the toilet block was adequately cleaned. There is only one block for the whole site and so they cannot be fully closed when being cleaned.
My husband and myself noted areas of dirt and grime which had not been cleaned in the time that we used them. One further point, when we booked our pitch I made reference to the new children's play area and asked if it could be seen from the touring pitches so that we could keep an eye on our 8 year old whilst allowing a certain amount of freedom. I was assured that the play area could be seen. This was in fact false and we had to walk around a corner to get to the play area. Suffice to say we never left our daughter unaccompanied.
All in all we have stayed on much better managed sited and we were disappointed with our visit.

What a wonderful campsite and as such demands an in depth review. The campsite is in a very good position to explore Pickering, Thornton le dale, Dalby Forest and Scarborough as well as other areas in the vicinity; it is only 8 miles from Scarborough and 8 miles from Pickering.
On arrival the owner was very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much for him to help with, he even got us some menus for local take away restaurants because we arrived late evening and wanted to order out and had it delivered to the site. This is very much the same with the co owner who was just as friendly when we met her the next day and nothing at all was ever too much for them to deal with and it was a pleasure to meet them both.
We went with 4 other friends and were pitched next to each other and the facilities were excellent, Drinking water, waste disposal, chemical disposal, toilets, showers, rubbish and recycling were all within 30 yards or less of our pitch and we noticed this was very well organised throughout the site. The toilet/shower block was heated with spacious cubicles for both toilets and showers as well as cubicles for personnel grooming and were cleaned daily. At times when it rained the floor could get slightly wet and muddy but all campsites suffer from this and a mop and bucket is available if needed and even though there is a large mat to wipe feet on at the entrance there is an old saying that you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.
The site has a very well stocked shop selling all manner of camping related items as well as day to day things from charcoal to washing up liquid and it is open at various times of the day.
For dog lovers your pet cannot be exercised on site but it can offsite in the numerous country lanes and there is a dog waste disposal bin at the entrance back into the camp. There is also a bridal path adjacent to the camp which is about 3 miles long and about half way through you can paddle in the stream or the dogs can have a swim. It can be walked in about an hour but it does cross over some uneven ground so not for people who struggle with walking. There is also lots of other walks around the area as well and everyone seems to sell free range eggs and vegetables from honesty boxes at the road side at very reasonable prices. The butchers “Glaves Butchers” in the next village Brompton is fantastic and although we buy all our meet from our local farm shop we found everything we bought to be exceptional in taste and the pork pies are to die for. On our next visit we will get our supplies when here rather than bring most of them with us.
Back to the park, it is a mixture of static caravans and seasonal pitches with space for tents and tourers and is gated with swipe card entry so you get a feeling of security. The park itself is very pretty with hedges and lots of flowers scattered around and is well maintained. I don’t think we have said anything that hasn’t already been said in other reviews and without doubt will return and cant wait.

After reading all the positive comments on this forum I was excited about going to Jasmine park. However on turning up at the site I was disappointed.
My first impression of the site was the lack of space, everyone was cramped on to a single field on the camp site. This was made even more frustrating when we noticed there were 3 other empty fields. On the first night I had a tent pitch within 6 inches of us!
On a positive side the wardens were exceptionally helpful and the facilities were adequate.

We stayed on a seasonal pitch from March 2011 until November 2011. This is the first time we have booked a season pitch as we like visiting different places but Jasmine Park must be special as we have booked for the 2012 season too! The pitches are spacious and well kept. The toilet/ shower facilities are always spotless and plenty of hot water. The shop on site is well stocked and the fish and chip van that visits site is great. The kids love the play area with swings and slide etc which was new for 2011 and also loved the football pitch. Great place to relax, nice and quiet but can get a little busy in the main holidays with campers. The kids love watching for the bunnies, hedgehogs, owls etc that visit the park. The nearest village of Snainton is a pleasant walk away, the kids love to feed the ducks and it's a lovely spot for a picnic. For those wanting a bit more action Scarborough and Filey are 20 minute drive away. It's also close to Dalby forest which is a great day out too. The wardens are friendly and can't do enough for you.

This is a lovely site. There is no clubhouse, no pub on site, no entertainment, no playground, nothing but lovely peace and quiet, perfect!
When you arrive, don't be out off by the rows of caravans in the caravan field, hardly any of them were occupied on our visit. We arrived Thursday after the Aug BH and stayed until Monday. The EHU tent pitches were all occupied over the weekend with people coming and going, however by Sunday night there were just us and another tent, a caravan and a motorhome in the main field.
Toilets are plentiful, and even when busy the 3 showers in the ladies was sufficient. Never had to queue. I loved the individual wash cubicles, meant I could clean my teeth without anyone watching me spitting into a sink.
Plenty of water points, little shop in reception open at certain times. Chip van visits Sat night 7-8pm. Wardens are friendly and welcoming.
Pitches are very large - fitted our Vango Icarus 500 plus canopy and windbreak easily.
This is a lovely site which I do not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting a nice peaceful nights sleep close to the gorgeous Yorkshire coast.
