Lovely staff, great shop, best showers ever - so much room. Toilets are all unisex. Great you can walk into town where there are lots of shops etc. We walked down from Ruskin's View down the steps and walked along the river - lovely. So many birds to see in the tent field. £14 for the four of us with elec - bargain!

After reading the great reviews on this site we tried it.Woodclose caravan park is everything it says it is.The park is really well set out.The staff make you very welcome-nothing is too much trouble. Our tent pitch was more than adequate for our large 6 berth tent.A lovely quiet (but small) field which has hook ups for 4 tents-you could get around 10 tents in the field. The facilities on this site would be hard to beat. There are separate wc's & hand basins in some of the facilities and in others there's a w.c,hand basin and shower combined all have central heating. The wc's etc were kept to a high standard of cleanliness as was the indoor wash-up area. The shop is a good size & well stocked.A nice play area for the kids is right outside reception.Prices are pretty good-£16 per night for the 2 of us with hook-up.Well worth the price for the high standards offered.Site is very handy for The South Lakes and North Yorkshire. We will be returning as soon as we can to this great site.

Stayed here over the bank holiday. Lovely site, very friendly staff. Great park for kids. 15 min walk over Devils Bridge to the lovely town of Kirby Lonsdale with its good pubs / food & unusual shops (check out the cheese shop with its own piano player !). Been twice this year and will definitely go back. Great for all levels of walking. Only downside was kids on their bikes whizzing up & down the sites roads, we saw 2 different incidents where they overtook cars on the site and almost caused an accident - wardens take note !

We stayed at this camp on bank holiday weekend, it was excellent and the facilities are second to none. The toilets and showers are immaculate and there were no queues at any time. The staff on the camp were really friendly, and could not do enough for you. The shop was well stocked and had long opening hours. I would recommend this camp to couples and families and will be going again very soon.

We and our 3 children had a fabulous weekend at this site. The staff were very pleasant and helpful as were other campers. The children spent hours on the park, riding bikes and playing with new friends. We walked into the village every day sometimes along the river and if in more of a hurry along the tarmac footpath. This takes about 10 minutes. We even walked to the supermarket and back! Lots of lovely places for eating and shopping. Devils bridge is delightful, especially if you like motorbikes. There is a car boot sale on a Sunday were we bought bargain books for the children and the most fabulous home made ginger cake. On the food front try the cheese shop in the village it was one of the best I have enjoyed.

What an excellent site! Lovely friendly wardens, well laid out site with areas for statics, tourers and a separate small sheltered tent area holding about 12 pitches.
The facilities are second to none with a well stocked shop, laundry room, clean and safe children's play area, and fantastic, spotless individual bathrooms big enough for the whole family at once!
Well recommended and we shall be returning soon.

Lovely campsite with excellent individual washing cubicles and all mod cons. Very neat, tidy, clean and welcoming with a mix of statics, tent pitches and touring spots. There is a small shop in the office and a noticeboard with details of a few local attractions.
Kirkby Lonsdale is within walking distance and we were directed over the fields. The site is also a short drive from great walking areas like Ingleton and all the additional attractions aorund there like the Settle-Carlisle railway, horse riding, falconry centres and much more. Ask at the office where the back footpath is to the Pheasant Inn. Its only a ten-fifteen minute walk and well worth it. This is more of a restaurant than a pub, serving superb meals for the hungry tourist but try to leave your muddiest walking boots behind!

What a lovely site! It has quite a lot of static vans, plus separate areas for touring vans, and another separate field for tents which is nice, as you don't feel over crowded by caravans towering over you! The utility block holds the reception, well stocked shop, laundry, info room, plus toilets and shower rooms - individual rooms which each have a loo, sink and shower. There is a childrens outdoor play area (with climbing frames and table tennis). The owners couldn't be more helpful and the site is well looked after and very peaceful considering the size of it. It's an easy 20 minute walk into Kirkby Lonsdale over Devil's Bridge - but remember to take a torch as it's pitch black at night! 10/10 - we'll be back!
