This is a really pleasant site. Very well set out and maintained, with helpful friendly staff.
It’s in an ideal location for the Lake District or the Yorkshire Moors, as well as very pleasant local surroundings.
The attractive village of Kirkby Lonsdale is only a few minutes walk away too.

It's been 12 years since our last stay at Woodclose and apart from the mass expansion of statics and pods, not a lot has changed.
Feels a little cramped now with no views to speak of from the touring area.
The pitches are chosen for you depending on the size of your outfit and the one we were given was very flat and spacious.
Our pitch had a water tap, waste drain and ehu. £114 for 3 nights which is £38 on in old money, not cheap but probably in line with many others due to it being school holidays.
The on site facilities were clean and very convenient for the touring pitches. The receptionist was welcoming when we arrived and the little shop was well stocked.
15 min walk into Kirkby Lonsdale from the site avoiding the main A65. Kirkby Lonsdale is quaint, full of eateries and independent shops and friendly locals.

We chose this site because of its location on the edge of Kirkby Lonsdale which we had not been to before and seemed to be an interesting place to visit.
We booked for 3 nights but we’re very disappointed with the site and only stayed for one night.
The pitches were quite cramped and close together ( although fully serviced with water tap and drain ) and the toilets and showers were not very clean; we took one look at them and decided to use our own facilities.
If those things are not important to you, the site is just a short walk from Kirkby Lonsdale and there are also some attractive walks along the River Lune which runs between the site and the town.
There is a public footpath which runs through the middle of the site which is separated from the site by a fence and hedge on each side although there is access to it from within the site.
This means that the footpath provides an off-lead dog walk straight from the site leading out into open country.
However, despite that plus point, I would not recommend the site.

A quiet, very attractive site next to Kirkby Lonsdale town, and in handy reach of the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales.
Wonderful.
A variety of caravan pitches and camping pods available, all with excellent facilities.
The staff are very helpful and friendly too.

Lovely clean and quiet site with excellent shower / toilet facilities --
You'll need ramps for pitches 25/26.
The site is within easy walking distance of the town centre albeit a bit steep in places depending which route taken --
It has a well stocked shop and newspapers can be preordered --
Staff are very friendly and helpful and are a credit to the organisation.
Only downside is [ and it's probably cos I'm a Yorkshireman ] it is a little on the pricey side but for me for a couple of nights it's OK.

Good facilities. Nice site. Narrow lane on entrance to site. Good stocked on site shop. Pleasant staff. Very handy to the town.
Pitches 16 and 17 really only good for camper vans. And then levelling problems. Very tight turning for a larger touring van. And as 17 is on a backwards slope. Really need a motor mover and not level. Had to lift tourer off one wheel to get a level.
Spoke to others on site and they said lots had a problem with it. Fencing rails don't make it any easier.
Quite steep inclines for disabled if going around site. But showers toilets etc all good. On pitch water. Grey drainage. Electric and TV point as reception not great.
There's lot of wild life including rats. There's lot of hedges and they seem to live in them. In fact my wife put her sandwich down outside and one pinched it. Lol in daylight.
Anyway a good site that with a little twist could be better.
Would go back but not on pitches no. 16. 17. Central circle lovely grass and hard standing. Hopefully this will help.

Nice quiet site within 20 mins walk into beautiful Kirkby Lonsdale.
Good spaces, and great facilities especially the toilets and showers all separate and private with central heating and powerful showers.
Lovely reception on arrival by 2 gentlemen whom were extremely helpful and quick so booked in within minutes, fab!
