We have just returned from a 6 day stay at Woodclose, staying in a wigwam! The wigwams are basic but ideal if you don't fancy pitching the tent after a long drive. You will still have the fun of camping but without the worry of a dry tent!

The site is very peaceful and relaxing with beautiful views. The shower / toilet (wet room style) facilities are the best we have ever seen, exceptionally clean and with loads of room. The staff are very proud of their park and quite rightly so. There is a small shop that stocks basic supplies and a Booths supermarket can be found in the town.

Kirkby Lonsdale is a lovely town and is just a short walk from the park. Avanti in the town serves fresh pizza and a very fresh pint of beer.

This is an excellent base for exploring the Lakes with Windermere only 20 minutes by car. Make sure you go on a boat trip across the Lakes the views are amazing. Also it is worth going to Coniston if only for the winding road and an exhilarating drive!

Just got back from a 3 day break here and this has got to be one of the best sites we have stayed on. The site is in a great location for staying local or getting about further afield.

It's in walking distance to the town centre and Devils Bridge and has lots of attractions to get to by car. We went to the waterfall trail at Ingleton and had a day in Kendal. Both great places to visit.

The bathrooms on the site are a great idea as you have a bit of privacy for using the toilet then having a shower ( and a shave for the men ). All in all a handy friendly site. Hope to return soon.

We have just spent a week at Woodclose Caravan Park. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The touring field was a small site to what we are used to but it had a nice feel to the site which made you feel you would like to return.

It had a lovely dog walk close by and a nice walk to Higher Casterton from the site. The town was walking distance from the site either by road or the lovely river walk. It was easily accessible to the Dales and Lake District.

The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Toilets were unisex not what we have been used to but were very clean and adequate. We thoroughly enjoyed the showers being very large along with toilet and washbasin and would be very useful for families that might like to have their young children in with them along with heated radiators for the time of year.

Small children's play area and the shop on site was well stocked. We will definitely be returning soon.

Stayed for a few days at the well maintained Woodclose site, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Shower room / toilets were very clean and spacious with plenty of hot water, all included hand soap and hand cream. The on-site shop was well stocked with most essentials. The pitch we felt to be a little too close to the next caravan.

Kirby Lonsdale town is a 15-20 minute walk away with plenty of varied shops, good eating places and pubs. There are good walks along side the river (just minutes from the site), also Lake Windermere, White Scar caves and many other attractions are within a reasonable distance in the car.

Overall a good site and would return if in the area again.

We recently stayed for five nights and had a lovely time. The site was well maintained, excellent facilities and the individual wetrooms were fab! The site managers were very friendly and extremely helpful. Location is ideal, near the river with nice walks ending up at 'Ruskin's view' and what a view it is!

Kirkby Lonsdale is a cracking little place and eating choice was extensive. Orange Tree well worth a visit, good food, child friendly and a selection of their own brewed beer.

A visit to the field behind the site to see Bongo the boisterous alpaca is recommended but not for the faint hearted!

Overall we were not fully impressed with this site.

The grounds were kept clean and landscaped nicely but we found the toilet facilities not to a high standard.

This was 7 of our 8 campsites that we had booked for our touring trip, and this unfortunately was the one that was not up to the Caravan club standards that we had already encountered.

The highwayman pub about 4 miles away serves excellent meals :-)

Stayed for a week at woodclose, the site was excellent, friendly staff very clean, plenty of room in showers and hot water, toilets also very clean with hand soap and cream.Small shop on site

You can order papers.Lovely surrounding area, with great views.A short walk to town across devils bridge, the pub red lion very friendly staff and good food, the town has a few eating places and pubs,a great butcher and cheese shop, all that you need.
There is also a super market called booths we found this very reasonable. We visited ingleton water falls, the walk took about 4 hours with a stop for a picnic, great views and worth seeing the water falls quite steep in places, aslo lake windermere, with a boat trip, white scar caves the longest show cave, morcombe, and a we did a circular walk which we printed of the internet.
We thought woodclose was a great place to stay we would go back again.Weather ok

This was our second visit to this site and it was just as good as the first. Staff friendly. Facilities very good and clean, ideal for young children. Spent a lot of time by devils bridge as the weather was great but there is lots to do around this area. (previous visit included seeing ingleton falls) Will definitely go again. Only problem is we struggle now to find a site as good anywhere else

My wife and I camped here for 4 nights and we could find no faults. The staff from our arrival until our departure were very helpful and always had a smile. The facilities are centred around the reception and are kept very clean. There is a small shop which had ample supplies of what is needed food wise and for minor running repairs to your unit.

During our time here we visited Kendal, Morecambe and Skipton all of which are within very easy driving distance of the site. I would also recommend a visit to the Falconry Centre on the road to Skipton.

Excellent site, our first visit but will be going again, everything about this site: locality, cleanliness and friendly staff always ready to help. Shop was very reasonable with their prices too
Very easy to get to the town, also very good pub, the royal dragon, and a very good indian called aroma spice
