Have just spent 6 nights at this site and had a lovely time. It is a bit of a strange site with a combination of camping facilities, fishing and the falconry centre. The site is in a beautiful position with a large fishing lake in the middle. The Falconry Centre is at the entrance and we had a look at all the birds and then the warden flew an eagle, falcon and an owl and both my children were able to hold one. You have to pay for this of course but that was a nice thing to do.
The site itself was pretty quiet, we were the only tent for 5 nights in an enormous field although there were a few caravans and motorhomes. The shower block consists of 4 rooms all with shower, toilet and basin and were very clean. Dotted around the campsite are portaloos discreetly hidden in the hedges, I think these are mainly for the fisherman who spend a day fishing there, they do not have a key for the shower block. We used the portaloos quite a lot near our tent because it was a longer trek to the shower block and they were fine. There is only one double sink for washing up which was fine for us as we were the only tent for 5 nights but when we left on Saturday a few more campers had arrived so there might be some queueing!
Near the entrance to the site is the best farm shop we have ever visited selling meat, veg, cheese, fish, cakes etc and the Herb Centre (garden centre) across the road served up a lovely lunch and also has a nature trail within the grounds, ask at the gift shop for a laminated map/directions.
Overall I think the campsite is a hidden gem and the website does not do it justice but maybe they like it that way, nice and quiet with not too many visitors and acres of space.

A very attractive site set in a natural bowl with 2 fishing lakes. The toilets/showers were excellent, you get a key to private bathroom type rooms very clean and plenty hot water.
Washing up has only two sinks without a draining board which is a bit of a problem, but very friendly warden and wife said they would address this.
Pub in Warmington The Plough is very cosy with real ales and good food. Also one of the best outdoor swimming pools found at Banbury is just down the road 50meters very clean and heated its fab - we went there every morning.
The falconry centre on site is also very interesting and the little cafe shop is very nice too.

We stayed here for one night, it was the first time every camping but we all had a fab time. The toilet block was fantastic and expectionally clean, plenty of room for changing and no chance of getting clothes wet whilst showering.
We pitched at the bottom of the hill, close to the fence and there was loads of space between the tents. Although, there was not children's play area the space was wide enough to keep the children occupied.
The town of Warmington is well worth a look, very 'olde world' and the local pub does nice meals and ales.
We will definitely return, and this time bring a better torch as there is no lighting in the park.

Very impressed with everything, friendly welcome. Showers and toilets clean, good dog walking area, fishing lake on site, well stocked.
If you like birds of prey, you will love the falconry, interesting small shop along side. Reasonable priced coffee / snack shop, seating outside so can enjoy the views. Looking forward to our next visit

Stayed for a couple of nights over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Despite the poor weather, a good time was had by all.
Very clean, pretty site, situated in a natural 'bowl' surrounded by hills, so fairly sheltered. This means a steep drive in/out - not sure how you'd get on with a caravan if it was wet.
Have to pass comment on the new showers - very clean, plenty of space and free too!
Both the warden (also the falconry bloke) and the refreshment hut lady were genuinely friendly and helpful.
We'd definitely go back.

We wanted a campsite fairly near to home so that we could practice putting up our awning. This site lived up to all the positive reviews we read prior to booking. The warden and his wife were friendly and helpful, the site was well-kept and clean with great showers, the views were lovely. The falconry centre was very interesting and g=has won many awards.
It's also worth noting that you can walk to the pub in Warmington in about 10 - 15 minutes which we found very friendly and with reasonably priced, excellent pub grub.
Also, the National Herb Centre is virtually opposite the farm entrance and a caravan centre is just down the road which has a well-stocked camping and caravanning shop for any bits you may need to get. Between the two is a farm butchers and veg shop (we didn't need this facility but it looked good and was very close). We'll definitely use this site again.

We have just returned from a two night stay at this campsite. We had a lovely time and in fact my 6yr old said it was 'the best site ever'.
The welcome was friendly and we were advised where to pitch which was in the bottom field by the fence. The site although on the side of a valley had fairly level pitches and there were hard standings available.
The site was very well kept with good drainage and plenty of space between pitches. The new toilet facilities were warm and very clean there are only four but we didn't have to wait in each cubicle there is a shower, toilet and wash basin. To the side of the shower block are two sinks for washing up under cover and at the rear of the block is the chemical toilet point.
There is a great dog walk area which is around the outside of a field which is fenced and gated. There are two fishing pools very open on the site so watch the little ones, walks directly into the countryside from the site where we saw deer and the falconry centre which we didn't use this time but the prices seemed very good.
There is no play area but plenty of space to run around and no shop on site which wasn't a problem to us. There is a snack shop selling hot dogs, burgers etc very tasty and good value. Also there is a tesco in banbury and fast food restaurants which is about ten minutes up the road.
It is a lovely quiet site and we will definitely be returning.

Stopped for 3 nights over Easter, and can quite positively say that this is one of the worst sites we have been to. There are 3 fields. If your not in the lower one, then please be ready for a very steep uphill climb back from the one and only minuscule toilet/ shower block, which was filthy ( and mixed = men/women ).
There is no shop, and just one bloke who just took your money = no receipt. Never again. Yes it was £15, but we were not told about the lousy facilities

Just back from a brilliant weekend at fir tree farm. New shower block is awesome. Great cake at the falconry centre and the birds put on an impressive show for us.
Surrounding countryside is beautiful. Pub and farmshop within walking distance. Not far from banbury or stratford so good base for touring. Clean and tidy and well maintained. We will be going back again if they will have us

Lovely site. The owner is so friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Fantastic views. Lovely shower block. Gorgeous lake. Brilliant walks. For £10 per night this is a superb site. We will definitely be returning.
We visited The Swan Inn in Banbury to watch the football match that was on and the locals were all very friendly.
We would thoroughly recommend this site to all.
