Just enjoyed a very hot weekend at Fir Tree Farm Caravan site. It is a 15 minute walk from Warmington village and a 5 - 6 mile drive from Banbury where there are the full range of facilities.

A very relaxed site with minimal facilities, portaloos, chemical disposal, electric hook up, waste disposal and water. All are kept in good order.

The site is on the side of a fairly steep valley with an upper and lower field. All pitches are level. The upper field offers fantastic views and is close to the chemical disposal point, whilst the lower is close to the fishing lake, the Falconry centre, and is more sheltered.

Some great circular walks direct from the site and I would recommend a walk to the National Herb Centre just outside Warmington Village.

The price of £10.00 per night was very reasonable.

Our maiden voyage with our new unit and what a great weekend we have had. A very basic site, only portaloo's, and hookup but with fantastic views and a fisherman's heaven, big lake full of very large fish. Very quiet and peaceful, very clean site . Plenty of space for children to play. Good walks in the surrounding area. Local pub and a garden centre within walking distance. Falconry interesting for children and adults alike.

The steep hill to enter and exit the lower field is not for the faint hearted and a no no to climb with your waste! at £10.00 a night it was value for money in comparison to other sites / facilities

We shall return soon

Stayed here over a very snowy Easter weekend. A great basic site on a very contoured field. We pitched on the bottom field behind the lake and this kept the wind off us. We did not use the toilets as we are self sufficient.
We did take a long circular walk up the green lane on site and watched two small children having the time of thier lives coming down the grassy hill on thier bikes, it really is an excellent site for kids.
The well stoned tracks to various parts of the site made it easy to access the pitches even with the bad weather, the warden was very friendly and electric hook ups were available.

Having a problem with our water pump we went to the local caravan dealer to buy new but the salesman would not let us part with £50 until we had carried out some checks and took the old pump back to him to be checked, as we were only 5 minutes away this was no problem we did have to buy a new pump but what superb advice and service we are already talking about going back in the better weather

 A most delightful campsite!
I wanted a reasonably priced campsite that was not too far from Silverstone but did not charge the extortionate prices which those in close proximity to the track will do during the Grand Prix weekend. This fitted the bill perfectly at just £5 per tent per night.
It is set in beautiful landscape and I defy anyone not to fall for the outstanding views overlooking the small lake and surrounding area. The warden was welcoming and friendly and if like me you happen to have a fascination for falconry and birds of prey you will find yourself in seventh heaven!
Having said that, it probably is not ideal for a long term stay ( I only needed it for one night) because the facilities are rather basic. There are no showers or washrooms for example and the two toilets it has are not for the faint hearted!
This not to say that it isn't family friendly, it is! I saw that from the faces of the smiling, contented children who were clearly enjoying themeslves. Indeed I have already earmarked it as an ideal place to take my young son for a short fishing/camping trip in the near future.
I will certainly return!

Just spent the weekend here - really loved it. There are walks directly from the site, so the dog was in her element and it was only a short walk for her to swim in the reservoir . There are only portaloos, but as we are self sufficient this did not bother us. We stayed on the top site and the views are spectacular. Plenty of places to eat in the area at really good prices and to top it all a caravan dealers just down the road. Will definitely return

We had a great time the site was very good. Not too crowded even on a Bank Holiday weekend. Plenty of room. We stayed up in the top field, not in the bottom field by the Lake. The only downside for us was the lack of proper toilets, they only used portaloo's. Even though they were kept clean it wasn't nice. The price was very reasonable but they could charge a lot more if they only provided a decent wash / shower / toilet block.
The surrounding area around Banbury was stunning and the views from the site were wonderful. It was central for lots of tourist places ie. Warwick Castle, Stratford upon Avon within half an hours drive from the site.
