The bad bit, no showers yet but they are nearly done. A very friendly place views to die for and if you walk there are lots of places to see and eat all within 2.5 miles.
Falconry on site and a fishing lake but the lake is not crowded so yo can still enjoy it. All the pitches on the bottom field were very well spread out I did not look at the set up on the top field.
Will be back for several weekends this year

Just spent three superb nights at this site and just niggly things let it down, the toilets are not what I would want to use, so your own are advisable, and the chemical waste is a journey from the bottom field.
Still I cant complain any more than that as a new toilet and shower block are on the way. Its a first class site apart from those two things, will I return , you bet
Peace and tranquillity on this site no roads anywhere near
Its a must at £10 per night and I should add as others have done when its complete will be worth more.
Also the Falconary Centre here is a must for the kids as they will see birds of prey in flight and hold one of the birds .

Super site. Plenty of room.S ite van any direction. We really felt we were in a rural retreat. Plenty of walks. Very dog friendly. Lakes. Fields. Wildlife. Peaceful. Tranquil. Great. Will definitely return.
Porta loos very clean. No showers yet but new block built and due to open soon. Hence the cost may go up. But still a very good site.
Downfall----if on bottom field, long uphill walk to local pub. Although food excellent. Beer good.
Staff pleasant.

We have just returned from a great weekend at Fir Tree Farm. Bad bits first - the toilets were awful - even worse than we had expected, I'd even go so far as to say that if you don't have your own facilities, don't go. Having said that, the staff did say that they are usually emptied more often, but even then they would still be pretty bad, and we aren't particularly fussy campers! Now the good bits - the rest was absolutely brilliant! The views are amazing, the lakes are lovely, the falconry centre is fab, and we were allowed to hold the birds and take photos. The site was busy, but not noisy, and the local pub made us sandwiches, even though they had stopped serving food by the time we got there. The herb centre is also well worth visiting and has a lovely bistro. We were very lucky with the weather, and even if it was wet I think the top field would still be ok for campers, but the hill to the lower field is too steep for our camper. We had a really great time, and if other reviews are right and they are building some toilets, we would definitely return, and would be happy to pay more as well.

Just stopped for the night.
Outstanding welcome, couldn't help us out enough. No phone (o2) signal in bottom field but full in the top. Getting o2 mobile broadband most of the time in top field too. Digital tv very good too.
Lovely views too, we were self sufficient so didn't need to use the portaloos.
One amazing thing is that down the road at Wellesbourne they want £12 per night then £3.50 for electric then £5 if we check in or out overtime! Ridiculous rules but here £10 per night and got here at 10am yesterday and 24 hours later still no sign of anyone slinging us out! Proper people run this site not money grabbers. Dont mind price going up a couple of quid when the toilets are done neither.
Shame we have to get back home tonight or we would be staying here a little longer and will definitely 100% return

I visited this campsite for 1 night with my two young daughter (5 & 7 years). I was greeted by Keith (bird man of Warmington) who directed me on the best place to pitch our tent. There is an excellent Falconry centre on site about 50 yard from our tent that Keith opened up for us after we had pitched.
What can I say, this was by far the best camping experience I have ever had with my 2 girls. It cost just £4.50 to view the birds that included a Peregrine, Harris Hawk, Kestrel, Barn, Scops, snowy & European Eagle owl! Red tailed Falcon & Gyr falcon were impressive.
Keith put on a video for us to watch and then let me take some excellent photos of the kids holding a Scops Owl, Kestrel and Harris Hawk. Keith's wife Sandra turned up shortly after and allowed the kids to feed the guinea pigs. I could not believe my eyes as my youngest girl has never felt comfortable enough to do any of this previously.
The girls also got to fly a scops owl indoors on to their arm which they have still not shut up about now! Then came the best part for me, Keith flew his Peregrine across the campsite which was truly amazing and a must see. The world fastest living creature flying a few feet away, believe me they live up to expectation. The Gyr Falcon was next and was equally impressive!
The campsite is set on the side of a stunning valley with great views of rolling countryside. There are some steady walks from the site which we explored for about 1 hour. There is a pond for fishing on site but I am not sure on the rules? The toilet are temporary portaloos but do the job, there are plans to build toilet facilities next year but to be honest this would not prevent us coming back.
I am not too sure about the surrounding area but there is a Pub just up the road offering 2 for 1 meals. The surrounding villages look excellent.
Campsite 8/10
Experience 10/10
Value 10/10
Location 9/10
Unforgettable memories with the kids, priceless!

Just returned from our first camping trip in this lovely campsite with 9 year old and 1 one year in tow who seemed to love every minute. You really can't go wrong with staying here except there is one downside - the portaloos, which were an experience. However the owner said he was planning to build a shower/toilet block next year, which would make this site 10/10

The photos really don't do this site justice as the views really are spectacular. The site was nicely kept. We had a lovely pitch on the top field. The portaloos were spotless. The only negative thing was a large group of noisy campers in the bottom field. Their noise really wasn't what you'd usually expect and had we been on their field it would've spoilt our weekend. I will be returning though as it was good value for money and the view was worth every penny. Maybe they could review their policy on allowing large groups though.

The on-site facilities are pretty basic, but the views are superb and the site is roomy. Even though it was a Bank Holiday weekend and the site was busy, it never felt crowded.
The top field has by far the best views, but if you want to fish, you can park up just feet from the lake in the bottom field.
The falconry centre, located within the site was a real hit, and good entertainment for kids - we were able to touch a baby owl and hold the birds while photos were taken.
The National Herb Centre is very close by and well worth a visit. There is also a caravan and accessories retailer a few hundred yards away, so handy if you need any bits, or just like to mooch.
We had a meal at the Thai restaurant in Banbury (with the elephants outside). The meal was excellent and not too expensive. It is probably a good idea to book in advance as it was very busy when we were there.
Would be happy to return to this site.

We arrived at fir tree farm and was met by a friendly and helpful warden who guided us to our pitch. The park itself is set in breath taking countryside, on site there are two fishing lakes and a falconry centre. There is no shower block and only portaloos so you need to be self sufficiant, but at only £10 per night including hookup I found this excellent value for money and will definately be coming back.
