Very nice site, nice and quiet, and not too large, so not too far from the toilets etc, which were very clean - particularly liked the music playing in the toilets!
Nice and handy to the steam railway, if you want to take a ride!
One small problem we found, the ground was very stoney, so we had a few problems hammering in our tent pegs - we ended up with more than a few bent ones!

August 2004 A very pleasnt site, As previous reviews say showers and toilets kept lovely and clean, owners very cheerful and friendly. We loved the train station being right at the site. Came across it by chance, just a small sign at road end which dos'ent sell the site but then again it probley as no need to, once you've been you'll want to go back.

July 2004 Agree with everything from earlier reviewer. The camp site has its own request stop railway station. Railway can be used as transport down into Towyn (large supermarket very close close to station. Reasonable room for children to play etc., may be a bit quiet for some. Didn't explore towards pub as we travelled out on railway for special evening up the valley. Plenty of walks from stations.

June 2004 Lovely little campsite this, nicely kept and in a wonderful location in the Tal-y-llyn valley, surrounded by green hills. The Tal-y-llyn Railway runs directly alongside the site but is not intrusive. Only cost us £8 per night (£5 for tent plus two adults at £1.50 each, our son, being under 5, was free) and the showers and hot water washing-up facilites were free. Owner was friendly, showers and toilets were v.clean and newly painted. The booking office also has some basic groceries and supplies for sale. There was a small games room on site with table-tennis plus a small children's play area (though this was behind tall hedges so that children could not be watched from distance i.e. whilst relaxing by your tent supping beer, which is my preference). Area is wonderful taking in what I believe to be some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain full stop. Thoroughly recommended.
