Arrived at site in august 2008, lovely small site reasonably flat. Toilets were close by and accessible by anyone even if disabled. Weather was not so good rained, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of interesting areas around site. Not far from town. Main thing was the toilets were spotless and showers nice and hot, and well lit. Nice play area`for children with safety mats. Overall this was a lovely friendly site`and I would go there again well recommended

We have been to this site many times over about 20 years, until this year always stayed in a static caravan.
The site proved much much better in the camping field, really good atmosphere, excellent bonfire night, made the whole holiday really good and varied for the kids.
The railway running past is lovely and gives a really good focus for your holiday.
The facilities are clean, but getting a little aged although this doesn't defer from a really well kept and pretty site.
Would highly recommend.

This site is by far the best this year so far. The proprietors, Patrick and Pam were most helpful. They are very friendly and informative.
The site is clean and ideal for families with children. The play area is safe and welcoming for all ages. The shop could be open for longer, but facilities in Tywyn are very good. This is our second visit this year and we are looking forward to visiting again in 2009.
The Welsh weather was wet for our second visit, but we were helped by Patrick to pitch and tow off with his quad machine. ( He even hooked up my van to my car.) Brilliant.

Fantastic site.
We were here for a 4 days stay.
Facilities excellent and the owners are very friendly and very helpful. Watch out when all of the showers are being used as the pressure drops in the gents shower that resides on its own.
Peaceful at night.
Weather was horrendous but there is plenty to do around the area and the visit to the King Arthurs Labyrinth at Corris is well worth it and a drive out to Portmeiron too.
The field stayed firm and was only muddy at the entrance.
Some good places to eat and there are good take-aways in Tywyn.
Out of the two sites we stayed at during our time in Wales this is the one I would have spent my whole time at, lots to do arround the area and a great site.

We spent five nights at this site. The weather went from being the hottest day of the year when we first arrived to fantastic storms with lightening which lit up the caravan at night!
Site owners were very helpful, polite and laid back – not in your face or overly pedantic like some of them are.
Pitches could have benefited by a couple of extra feet but they were in no way the narrowest pitches we have been on. We also had nice neighbours either side. The onsite shop was small, not overly stocked and only opened for a couple of hours a day. However this did not impact on our holiday as we utilised local facilities in Tywyn which is not far away. Also there is a lovely playground and miniature golf in Tywyn with snack bar. Nice walk along the sea front in Tywyn and free car parking. In High Street, there is a nice Leisure Centre where we went swimming. Reasonably priced and a useful activity for rainy days!
The B4405 was a twisty turny road where it narrowed in places so some caution should be taken if towing. The road into the site is a narrow single track (although there are a couple of ‘pull over’ points) – a bit scary when you haven’t been towing for very long.
Clean toilet, shower (with Radio 2 playing in the background) and washing up facilities which continued to be maintained even in the diabolical weather we had in the last couple of days there.
The children's play area was great for my 3 kids (aged 12, 9 and 6) and the recreation room came in handy especially because of the weather (persistent rain for the latter half of our stay!). The rec room had ping pong table and TV. We bought 10 ping pong balls from the market in Tywyn (Monday) for £1 although there is a sports shop in Tywyn.
A stream runs at the bottom of the site and this was fantastic for us all to paddle in and where we also took refuge to avoid the extreme heat in the shade of the trees.
A steam train railway station was a minute walk away. Again a good back up for dodgy weather. Café at the end of the line but extremely over priced! Would advise taking own picnic.
The site is a good location for Aberdovey, Aberystwyth (which had the cleanest and clearest sea water I have ever seen!), Machynlleth and Dolgellau.

This is a great site. We got lost, missed our turning. We called the site for directions and someone came out to get us and take us to site!
The playground is excellent, and even with every pitch filled there is plenty of space in the centre of field for games for the kids and the views are lovely.
It was very windy when we stayed and our pitch was on the centre ‘island’ which meant we had no shelter whatsoever, when we go again we will definitely be asking for a pitch against the hedges. Also because of the way the electric pitches are set up our EHU (20 metres) wouldn't reach and we had to buy an extension whilst we were there, at a cost of £21 this made a reasonably priced site expensive!
The showers are cramped and you sometimes have to fight off the shower curtain, and as there are only 3 male/3 female you sometimes have to wait but they are clean as are the toilets, with having young children and a baby I'd like to have seen a childrens bathroom especially as this seems a very family orientated site.
There are lots of attractions close by. The Talyllyn railway which runs alongside the site is lovely and if you have young children would definitely recommend a trip to Abergynolwyn where there is a lovely playground.
King Arthurs Labyrinth is about 30min away and is worth a visit and the beach is lovely at Aberdovey/Aberdyfi.

Campsite is out of the way of any noise and along a country lane. We were pitched in the main field which was flat and had fantastic views all the way up the valley. There is no dog run on site but footpaths run alongside the site so you can let the dog off there, just be careful for sheep and ticks! Plenty of toilets and showers which were well located in the middle of the site. Nearest shops are in Twywn which has everything you need. Good base for the local area.

Very peaceful location, compared to the previous site that we had come from. Very friendly and warm welcome, and got to choose our pitch as there was only 4 tents booked in. Set up and the steam train went pass, whilst enjoying a glass of wine.
Excellent toilet/shower facilities with a radio in there so you can listen for the local weather and local places to visit whilst brushing your teeth. Games room has a table tennis table and tv. We would have a game of 'ping pong' in the evening after washing the dishes - always a bit better when you have had a bit to drink.
Plenty of spaces betweenthe tents, but we didnt need that, will defianlty be going back in august with friends

We would recommend this site because of the owners alone, very helpful, kept us informed of the weather conditions before we went. Nice clean site lovely playarea clean toilets free hot showers, indoor games room with tv in. The kids loved the stream!
Lots to do in the surrounding area, have tried to book in for August already booked up, we would use this site again.

A fine site. Great location. Site is in a valley close to Tywyn - which is actually not the nicest of resorts. Plenty of room between pitches. Electric Hookups cost extra. Children's play area is good. Toilet and shower block is a bit dated, needs a makeover. Train station for the little train is 2 mins walk and you can see the trains passing by. Recommended.
