What a perfect site for all the family. Clean, quiet, good facilities and very friendly. The ground is ideal for tents.
The burn (stream) next to the site is wonderful and safe for the kids to have fun exploring. 2 mins walk to a lovely beach and great views.
We were stuck for a taxi early Sunday morning to get all our kit back to the boat we sailed over on, but Kate (the owner) just piled us all in her own car and took us to the slipway herself.
Thank you Kate!

The location is very good for Lamlash. All pubs are great and offer lovely food, we didn't have one bad experience eating out. The Old Pier Cafe is lovely. Whilst the campsite facilities were very clean, it would have been great to have some heating as showering in an outdoor building during March in Scotland was absolutely freezing.
Also Wi-Fi would have been a massive help, as phone signals are non existent in the area. The owners were lovely, but again, as they do not stay on site, it's difficult to get hold of them with no phone signal. The campsite is at the higher end of pricing, so I would have expected heating and Wi-Fi really.
We've stayed in cheaper sites that offer these. The views are beautiful and the area has lots of walks. Make sure you get cash out before visiting the area as there are no cash machines and the campsite does not take cards. The Arran Distillery whiskey tour is a must, I cannot recommend that enough.
We used a local taxi firm to get there and back (who did us a cheap return deal) as buses are sparse and we obviously wanted to try the whiskey!

Just spent a fantastic week at Middleton's Caravan Site on Arran and were so delighted with everything we are going back next week. Although the ferry is expensive it is well worth going to this family run site.
Everything works and although the toilets are a bit old fashioned there are none cleaner and all with piping hot water without all of these silly meters.
The staff could not have been more helpful and were so accommodating in every way with their help and information. The site is within easy reach of Lamlash and only a short walk to the shops but one of the best features is the lovely little gem of a site.
Would highly recommend this site to anyone from family's to pensioners as it has nothing but it has everything.

Recently stayed at this wonderful campsite. Had two fantastic days. We were met on arrival by Ian who showed us to our pitch, he took the time to tell us about the local attractions.
Once settled we had a walk around the site which was very charming with lovely views. We got chatting to other campers who say they have stayed here for a number of years. The toilet block and showers were of a very high standard which we saw Ian cleaning on a regular basis.
The following morning we had rolls and coffee which were prepared by Ian's wife Kate although the site was very busy during our stay nothing seemed too much trouble for Kate who always seemed bubbly. We would highly recommend this site for anyone wishing to holiday on Arran

I stayed here for one night after being recommended it by a local. The lady I met was very helpful and friendly. She made me breakfast despite it being 5pm which I thought was a nice touch. The ground is very well manicured, flat and soft (easy for tent pegs).
There are toilets, showers and fridge freezers facilities, not all of which I used, but the toilets are very clean. There are also water taps around the grounds, and a small river just at the side.
The location is idyllic, a short walk from the main drag and the co-op. Overlooking spectacular views of Holy Island. The only problem I had were midges, but you can't take any points away for that cos it's definitely 10 stars in my opinion. I will be back at Middletons, hopefully not too far into the future and I would recommend it to anyone.
I paid £9 for my stay after just turning up (without pre-booking) and I thought it was an absolute bargain.

We were very happy with the site and the owners. It is a small site with all the facilities you need. The toilets / showers / washing up area were all very clean. There is a fridge freezer where you can store your food and freeze cool box blocks.
Our tent was very wet the day we were due to leave however the owners allowed us to keep the tent up to late afternoon to allow it to dry before packing it away.
The shops / pubs is a 10 minute walk away. Although I did not see any play park for kids on site but there is plenty of areas to ride their bikes and there is a park near main shopping area.
I would definitely go back to Middletons camp site.

This site is in a good location, near to the sea and a short walk to pubs, restaurants and shops.
On arrival mid afternoon Friday it appeared to be a quiet and peaceful site, unfortunately, as the evening progressed the site filled up and became noisy with large groups
Facilities were not adequate for the number of people on site. By Sunday evening it was once again peaceful and enjoyable place to be.
In summary, avoid weekends! Recommend the Pierhead Tavern in Lamlash for meals and drinks.

The site is a 1/2 mile walk from the bus stop in Lamlash. The owners were very welcoming. We stayed for two nights.
There is a large even grass area in the centre of the site, with space for camper vans on one side and fixed mobile homes on the other side. The grass area was well drained. The wash-up area includes a fridge-freezer and laundry facilities (£1 coins required). The toilet / shower block had plenty of hot water.
The toilet / shower block badly needs refurbishment, with broken toilet locks, broken lights and urgent need of a deep-clean. The site was extremely noisy on both nights, with children running around at midnight, very late arrivals after that and people chatting and wandering around at 4 am. A stream and large trees run along the perimeter and so the midges / flies were very bad.

Stayed here for one night at the start of a backpacking trek around Arran, the pitches and facilities were excellent. The washing machines and driers were good to see (not the we needed them at our first stop)
There was quite a lot of noise for a family friendly site but this was down to a DofE group which the owner explained he had only taken as they'd been washed out in the hills, and boozy family group, the latter
Seems to be quite common on Eastern Arran (near ferry terminal) though things weren't too bad.
Locally there is a well stocked mini-supermarket and some eateries. The location is beautiful and easily reached from the ferry.
Overall a good review.

We stayed at this site for three nights over the bank holiday long weekend. The site has a sizeable flat, lawned, area for tourers (tents, caravans and motorhomes). There are no distinct pitches, but, although busy, it did not feel overcrowded while we were there.
There are a plentiful number of standpipes. The toilet block was clean and showers hot. The site owners were very welcoming and happy to give advice about activities on Arran.
The site is within comfortable walking distance of Lamlash which has a couple of pubs and some cafes. The restaurant at the Lamlash Bay Hotel was also excellent.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend this campsite.
