An attractive site surrounded by trees. Generous pitches, lots of water taps and electric hook up to about half the site. Lots of picnic tables.

Loos and dishwashing areas very clean. When we were there it was quiet. The owners are helpful and welcoming. There is no hard standing.

The site is within walking distance of the shops. Lamlash is very pleasant, easy parking, nice beach and a lovely view towards Holy Island.

There is another beach within five minutes walking of the site. An excellent place to stay

The site was well laid out and provided everything that we needed.

Very helpful and friendly manager. WiFi coverage could be improved if possible.

Would definitely use this site again

This is an adequate campsite and the youngish couple running it seem nice enough. However, the view is nothing to write home about, there is no hard standing or no marked pitches.

Facilities are poorly signed, very tired, poorly decorated and poorly maintained (no paper in one of the loos and no mop for the men's shower). I was left with the impression that there was an almost total lack of attention to detail.

Overall - okay, but could try a lot harder

The sites at Lochranza and Seal Shore are way better and better value for money. Both the above sites were sold out over the bank holiday weekend, this site was not - says it all.

Quiet site in a beautiful setting within walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants of Lamlash. Friendly, helpful owners.

Spotlessly clean toilet block and very well maintained grounds. Very popular with walkers

Campsite is set in a hollow surrounded by hills. Not far and certainly walking distance to the shops in Lamlash. The site is made up of mainly statics but is very quiet indeed.

We received a lovely warm welcome and, at £24 a night, thought it wasn't too bad a price.

Can't comment on the facilities as we didn't use them but didn't hear any complaints! There is a laundry facility there too.

We moved to Middletons campsite after the Seal Shore site couldn't accommodate us for two nights. The site is well laid out and plenty of space for tourers on a large green surrounded by static caravans nearby and woodland.

It was very quiet on the campsite and ehu wasn't a problem. The shower block and toilets were basic but spotlessly clean and the showers worked very well. No shortage of hot water.

There is a laundry room on site with washing machines and tumble dryers and ironing facilities. The warden was friendly and booked us in with minimum fuss. Local facilities nearby are excellent, the village of Lamlash has excellent bars, restaurants and shops.

There is a bakery and very good Indian takeaway within walking distance to the site. A footpath takes you into Lamlash with beautiful views across to Holy Isle. Great site, ideally situated for local facilities, we would definitely go again.

We chose Middletons for convenience, having booked an early crossing back to Ardrossan.

While there is nothing about this site to dislike, we had been spoiled by other Arran sites with real character. There is a large, firm grassed area for motorhomes.

On-site facilities were good, and we enjoyed our brief over-night stop.

This was our first visit to Arran and we chose the site as we were meeting up with family. Our visit was wet and rainy which had a bad effect on the field where we pitched although the owner did say that it had been a particularly wet season.

The touring site is flat with plenty of hook ups surrounded by some lovely statics in a very nice position. Lamlash is a lovely wide sweeping bay overlooking Holy Isle.

The site is pretty basic with 2 showers (lots of hot water!) and 4 sinks in blocks that are clean but very outdated and in need of a total revamp. There were no privacy cubicles and just 2 washing up sinks in a separate room with the washers and dryers.

Having said this I would visit again as being in a motorhome you are protected from the weather and are not so reliant on good facilities. The local shops and cafes are very good and within easy walking distance.

This site is in a small, wooded area not far off the shore in Lamlash. The location makes it a very pretty place to stay but the dreaded midge made an appearance when we were there and there was nowhere to hide, other than stay indoors in our van.

Site facilities are reasonable, if dated, and are kept clean so no reason for complaint there. Hookups are either in front of several static homes or in the central field area.

We found the owners helpful and friendly and with good suggestions about things to do in the area.

There's a footpath which takes you the 3 or so miles to Brodick if you want to walk and there's no shortage of shops and places to eat in either place or Whiting Bay.

Stayed 2 nights but never again. The shower block is the worst we have ever seen in the UK and the shower was cold in the afternoon as the owner had turned off the boiler!

We were charged a well over-priced £28 per night for a motorhome and awning.

At least, therefore, we had a decent sized pitch. Others were squeezed in together as they do in Spainish campsites. So, all in all, very, very poor value for money.

At that price we would have expected excellent facilities and wifi. To top it all, there was a couple in a caravan having what sounded like a violent argument which the owner did manage to calm down.

Having said all that, Lamlash is beautiful and the owners very pleasant.
