The campsite was in a lovely location. Upon arrival we were given a choice of pitches which was really nice.
There is a lovely walk just outside the campsite, watch out for midges as this is Scotland.
The showers and toilets, despite being a bit old, were always clean.
The owners were both very helpful we had a lovely stay.

Great wee camp site with a nice river flowing by the side. The staff were lovely and accommodating.
It’s cash only but they let us pay in the morning once we had been to a cash machine.
Good atmosphere and facilities!

Lovely campsite. Easy walking distance to beach and lamlash village.
Staff were superb. Cannot thank them enough for their kindness and support due to an incident on the ferry which caused damage to my sister in laws van. Regards Taylor Family

The initial experience of the campsite is very positive. It's literally five minutes walk from the restaurants and bars in Lamlash Bay. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and positive with helping select a bay for our campervan.
The site was approx 3/4 full while we were there and was quiet.
The only criticism involves the bathroom/shower spaces. I had read in previous reviews last year that these were not great but hoped the few issues had been resolved during lockdown. Of the two 'usuable' toilets one had a faulty lock so could not be used.
The showers consisted of two old looking showers with old concrete benches. The showers had faulty dials - so basically if you wanted hotter water you turned the mechanism to more cold! Some reviews claimed the water didn't get any hotter - that is why. The shower could get very hot and you didn't have to keep restarting the shower like many campsites every 30 seconds. It was continuous.
The showers - despite the old appearance were clean. However, we arrived during a heatwave for Arran. The following day was a lot cooler and if it had been any cooler time of year I could not have used the unheated shower.
I would hope that the campsite heeds any feedback about the showers as small improvements in this area would massively boost their reviews.
It really is in an unbeatable location.

A wonderful location. Flexible and friendly. A great base to explore Arran.
Just a short walk to the sea front and village.
We will come back, I'm sure.

This was our first trip in camper van.
Site was very clean both outside and inside, well maintained grounds and very peaceful.
The managers were very friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be back.

This is a gem of a site situated within walking distance of Lamlash. The site is very well looked after.
The facilities are very clean and have appropriate COVID measures in place.
We will certainly stay here again next time we visit Arran.

We stayed here once before. The site is within easy walking distance of Lamlash which offers a Co-op as well as a local bakery & an Indian take-away as well as pubs / restuarants.
The site was quiet & very well run. The owners appeared always available but not intrusive. The facilities may be a bit dated but they were totally adequate for our needs & the owners kept them immaculate with plenty of Covid 19 signage as was the dishwashing area. The water was always hot.
Grass pitches could be problematic if there is heavy rain but we were blessed with dry sunny days in the main.
We booked for five nights but for personal reasons we could only stay for four. I let the owner know out of courtesy & was immediately offered a refund.
I would definitely return to Middletons for a laid back relaxed break.
