 We stayed over the bank holiday, a new site that will be good when completed. The toilet blocks are clean and modern, and the pitches are spacious but are gravel please note you need steel pegs for your awning.
The surroundings are not complete so if you want to fish there is at present only an overgrown lake with no fishing pegs set out. The others are holes in the ground at present, apparently the environment agency will not give permission to fill them, so it will be some time before proper fishing is available. There are no boardwalks and the badger set was unavailable. There was considerable building work going on so may be noisy during the week until complete.

Woodhall Country Park is a new caravan and camping park just outside the village of Woodhall Spa. It is set amongst established woodland. The site is mainly set up with large hard-standings for caravans and motor-homes, but there are grassy areas where tents can pitch up. These pitches are nearer to the trees, and electric hook-ups are also available for campers.
The hard-standings all provide electric, mains water and disposal together with TV antenna feed. The heated amenity blocks are of the highest quality - providing nice hot and free showers. There are sheltered wash-up areas on each amenity block.
As it is all new, the owners are dealing with a few snags at the moment - the floor in the shower appears to puddle, rather than the water running away, and the washrooms would benefit from a few more hooks to hang clothes & washbags. Only half of the site is currently open, with the remaining area currently under construction - there is some noise from the vehicles doing this work, but it was not too intrusive, especially if you are sited at the far end of the park. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the park and its facilities.
The grass has only just been seeded, and is a little sparse in places, but in time will hopefully improve. For campers, the ground is very soft and fairly well drained, although when the ground is saturated, puddles do occur in some areas of the grass. The staff are very friendly, and willing to offer advice on places to visit. A £10 deposit is required for a fob for opening the vehicle entrance barrier and gaining access to the amenity blocks.
There is no bar, food or shop facility on site, but the Village Limits pub is just past the end of the drive. The food and beer can be recommended, and it is likely that a reservation is required at the Village Limits to ensure that you can get a table for an evening meal. Woodhall Spa (about 3/4 mile away) is a pleasant place to spend a holiday - plenty of opportunities for cycling, the unique “Kinema in the Woods”, and open air heated swimming pool in Jubilee Park are just some of the many attractions. You will find hotels, restaurants and pubs in the village, along with a useful selection of shops. A fair range of campers’ supplies can be found in the two local hardware shops in the village.
Woodhall Country Park is definitely to be recommended!
